5 out of 5 eggsVery Affordable 64 GB SDXC card

Pros: Used this for AVCHD 1080p and 1080i Hi Def video recordings on our Sony CX 760 and Sony HDR XR 520V with no hiccups yet. Very Affordable. Planning to buy two more cards.

Cons: None So Far

Other Thoughts: I reckon i need to buy a USB 3 card reader to maximize data transfer.

2 out of 5 eggsERR

Pros: 64GB

Cons: ERR

Other Thoughts: I use this on a Canon 60D and Nikon D7000. On more than one occasion the card has faulted to an ERR on the D7000 and just straight up didn't record about 200 images on my 60D without any ERR codes. I'm still using it, but with reservations.

4 out of 5 eggsUsing Patriot LX 64GB sdxc with Nikon S6300

Pros: I have been using Patriot LX 64GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) Flash Card
Model : PSF64GSDXC10 on my Nikon S6300 for almost a month now. It can transfer photos via
cable with both Windows XP and Macbook Air.

Cons: But it cannot transfer photos via my TOPRAM RV33 USB 3.0 Card Reader.
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA12K0C99573 ). It kept asking me to format the card on my dell 8300 and
dell 4600, which is really strange, because when I plug the card reader (w/ the card) into my Air, it works perfectly (and quick)
(about 60 minutes to transfer 64GB). Another thing is that when I plug my the 64GB card into my dell 4600 and dell 8300 via my camera,
I could only take out photos but not write in (moving photos from computer to card)
Hope my review is helpful!

1 out of 5 eggsNot recommended!

Pros: Hi capacity, low price.

Cons: You get what you pay for.
Intermittent card error when using in my Nikon D5100.
Not reliable!

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card to use on an international trip with my Nikon D5100. A few days into my trip my camera wouldn't take a photo, and I had a error flashing at me from the viewfinder. I shut off my camera (losing the last photo that I tried to take) and freaked out that I might have lost my photos. This card was brand new and had never been used prior. Fortunately I didn't lose the previous photos, but unfortunately, the error was not a one time deal. It kept occurring throughout the 3 weeks that I was gone. I eventually switched cards when I was at about 75% full because I didn't trust the card anymore, and didn't want to risk losing everything. Fortunately, I returned home and was able to successfully transfer my photos, but not without having elevated stress from praying that they would all transfer before the card died!

I haven't used the card since returning, and probably won't use it again because of the unreliability!

5 out of 5 eggsThey DO work with older cameras

Pros: They DO work, even with SDHC cameras (for example, I use mine with a Nikon d90).

See Other thoughts

Cons: You might have to...*gasp*...reformat the card!

HOWEVER, this is NOT true if the card uses SD 4.0 (this one is 3.0 compatible so it works)

See Other thoughts

Other Thoughts: When I first got this card I could not get it to work. However, I found this response on a forum and it worked 100%! I hope this saves you some time:

DXC host devices accept all previous families of SD memory cards. Conversely, SDHC host devices will accept SDXC cards that follow Version 3.0, since the interface is identical, but the following issues may affect usability:

SDXC cards are pre-formatted with Microsoft's proprietary and patented exFAT file system, which the host device might not support. Since Microsoft does not publish the specifications of exFAT and its use requires a non-free license, many alternative or older operating systems do not support exFAT for technical or legal reasons. The use of exFAT on some SDXC cards may render SDXC unsuitable as a universal exchange medium, as an SDXC card that uses exFAT would not be usable in all host devices. Since the FAT32 file system supports volumes up to the SDXC's maximum theoretical capacity of 2 TB as well, a user could reformat an SDXC card to use FAT32 for greater portability between computers (see below). FAT32-formatted SDXC cards can be used in a host device built for SDHC if the host device can handle 64GB and larger volumes.

SDHC host devices will not test the new capability bits defined for SDXC 4.0 cards. It will therefore not be able to use the new features of SDXC, such as transfer speeds above UHS104 (104MB/s).

tl;dr: Everyone is right. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but if it doesn't, it just means that your camera cannot read eFAT and you need to reformat your card to FAT-32 to unlock its full potential.

Hope this helps!

5 out of 5 eggs64GB!

Pros: Got this for our DSLR Canon EOS REBEL T3 camera.
Great on space, especially since the video files range up to 1.5gb's for about 15 mins of footage D:

Keep in mind SDXC is not available in all readers. At least from my experience, my printer Kodak Hero 5.1 can't handle it, nor does my 2 yr old media card reader catch it. Luckily camera has USB attachment.

Cons: none.

1 out of 5 eggsbought for nikon d600

Pros: good price

Cons: I bought this card to use with the new nikon D600. Card is very slow to write. This causes the camera to pause and not allow another photo to be taken until the write completes. The delay can be as long as one minute. This makes the card completely useless for the camera. I've tried to reformat in the camera and using the formatter from sdcard.org. I had to use an old 16gb class 6 card. The write speed for the class 6 card are fine in both photo and movie mode, there are no slowdowns.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: The pro is that this is purported to be a fast 64GB SDXC at a decent price. The reviews and specs look great.

Cons: The problem is that experiments using 4 different readers and three different ports reveal speeds of no greater than 2.3MB/s write and 4.8MB/s read. This device is unusable at these speeds.

Other Thoughts: I'm very disappointed. Perhaps this is a result of a manufacturing defect.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Dennis E,

I'm sorry to hear that you had an issues with our SDXC card. One thing we would recommend is to double-check that the devices are SDXC compatible. Please send me an e-mail and we'll be glad to further look into the issue.
