Other Thoughts: Waste of money and hopes. This drive died in a couple of weeks. Naturally, who keeps the packaging so newegg wont accept an exchange. All the more reason to go to my local store because they would exchange it.

Device is NOT BOOTABLE. My Gigabit MB BIOS hangs for a few seconds looking at the USB port, and the proceeds as if the stick isn't there.

Cons: I bought this to make a recovery set 14.5GB needed but this 16GB flash drive only has 14.4GB I am not happy

Pros: It works, price great.

Cons: Manufacturer rebate not easy to get. I'm approaching 3 months, still waiting for it! They do intermittently send updates stating 'approved'.

Other Thoughts: This product was tested and reviewed at whoratesit. They found a decent read speed, but horrendous write speeds. I won't put a link since that is frowned upon, but you can easily find it by googling "Patriot Supersonic Pulse slow write speed". Basically, the drive is ONLY good for people who will write something to it on rare occasions, but read off the drive on a regular basis. But if you don't need speed, it is a cheap 16g drive!

Cons: Absolute slug write speeds

Other Thoughts: I bought this drive on sale elsewhere based solely on the other reviews here. My bad, should have dug around more.

This unit has about double the read speed of my best USB 2.0 flash drive but the write speeds are about HALF of that same USB 2.0 drive!

So base your purchase on your usage criteria because it may be a good value for you or you may completely regret it.
