1 out of 5 eggsgreat while it lasted...

Pros: Fast read... Looks solid and trustworthy..

Cons: Poor write, lasted about a month of use before failure, I didn't even get to have the glue undone like the other reviewers, it literally died before I got to that point.

Other Thoughts: My wife bought this for me for the holidays and now I have a cool looking, insufficiently weighted paper weight.

1 out of 5 eggsThis drive is fast and loose.

Pros: Nice and fast. Great finish on the aluminum casing to match the Macbook line. Nice and small. Has a keyring. BUT...

Cons: there happens to be low quality adhesive keeping the memory part and keyring plastic inside the aluminum sleeve. Within a month, this glue detached, and the drive kept coming apart in my pocket. I'd fish my keys out finding just the clear plastic part on my ring, and have to dig around for the blue memory piece and the sleeve. What good is a nicely designed product with a fast operation if it can fall off your keys at any moment? I'll tell you. No good. This drive is fast BUT loose, and shouldn't mess with it or you'll get burned. Like I did. FAIL. Oh, I also mailed PATRIOT Customer Service 2 weeks ago and they've failed to get back to me. DOUBLE FAIL.

Other Thoughts: Buy a different drive, or buy this one, pry the sleeve off and superglue the clear plastic to the blue. Then cross your fingers.

2 out of 5 eggsSleek but cheap build

Pros: Very sleek build, no bigger than necessary, fast transfer.

Cons: The build is very cheap. The plastic part that goes on your keyring cracked, but before it could fall off, a few days later, just the plastic inside was left, the metal and silicon insides were gone. I don't have time to figure out the return policy but it was gone before a month of ownership. AVOID.

1 out of 5 eggsJust because it looks like it's well-designed, doesn't mean it is

Pros: Great Speed. Great Price. Compact. Nice fit-and-finish. Aluminum casing compliments Apple MBP aluminum shell very nicely.

Cons: Glue holding metal casing to the keyring bit came undone in less than a month. Contacting Patriot (couple days ago), haven't got a response yet. I'd LOVE this drive if it didn't fall apart on me and become utterly inconvenient and tick me off every time i try to put it back together to use, and then it just falls right back apart in my pocket. Exasperating. Frustrating. I hope Patriot will send a new one, and if so, I'm gonna superglue that m*********** so it won't fall apart.

1 out of 5 eggsBroke in about a month

Pros: fast. very small.

Cons: Glue on outer metal casing separated from the internal components. Product fell apart. Moderate use, being carried in my pocket for a month. Device was used for system diagnostic, file transfers and Ubuntu live disk. The rattle other reviewers have mentioned is because the technical components are free floating in the metal casing held in by little tabs on the plastic back end of the drive. the only glue in the product is the stuff between that plastic piece and the metal shell. That is the glue that let go.

Other Thoughts: Technical components of this still work even after it fell apart. Will be contacting manufacturer and see if something can't be done. Pretty upset, this devices size made it very very attractive for pocket carry.

3 out of 5 eggsGets the job done so far

Pros: I bought this flash drive because I wanted something with a small physical size but fairly large storage. I wish I had been able to find a 64Gb in the same size. The drive seems ok, so far I've only connected it to USB 2.0 ports. The transfer speed has been faster than my USB 2.0 drive so I like that. I'm going to keep testing it and using it and will try to update this review.

Cons: It feels very flimsy. If you shake it, you can hear a rattle from inside. If I hold down the blue part of the connector to the casing and then shake it, there is no rattle. I think that's something that should have been fixed before sending these out, there's absolutely no need for it to rattle.
The metal casing also flexes more than I feel it should. I think it could have been a little stronger and yet kept the same small physical size.
Lastly, the casing is metal, but the little keychain slot is plastic! Why? What's the purpose of that? If the casing is metal, why put in a point of failure by making the part that will get stressed the most out of plastic? How many people will put this on their keychain and inadvertently lose it when it snaps off? I think this should have been thought out a little better.

Other Thoughts: I can't wait to hook it up to a USB 3.0 port and test the transfer speeds there.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall and Fast

Pros: Very small 3.0 flash drive (smaller many 2.0 flash drives)
Good 2.0 speeds - WRITE 14 MB/s READ 31 MB/s
Good 3.0 speeds - WRITE 23 MB/s READ 87 MB/s
Metal case, but it is a bit thin

Cons: Insert on the connector (blue piece) is a bit loose
