Pros: I did use this with no problem in almost 7 months.

Cons: Then suddenly BIOS did not detect this SSD,
I shipped back the SSD for$14+
OCZ sent a replacement BUT still not detected by the BIOS.
I search the net, seems this version has a problem.
My recommendation: DON'T EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT Version.

Pros: Small, Fast easy to configure

Cons: Dead after 8 months

Other Thoughts: This HD was being used in a media center that stayed on 24/7 with plenty of fans and temperatures where always low. System had operating system and programs on it only and died after eight months.

Pros: Its a solid state drive and functions as such.

Cons: However, The price for what you get is extremely high. I would say this SSD is worth somewhere in the range of $50 to $80 dollars. This SSD is on the very low end of SSD IMO. WEI gives it only a 7.1 and on a clean build with a clean install starts the PC in just under 40 seconds. Ive tried using this drive on three different builds and have been sorely disappointed at its performance. I bought a Kingston Hyper X drive and installed on same PC and the PC boots in under 15 seconds.

Other Thoughts: If this SSD was priced in $50 - $80 range it would have gotten 3 stars

Pros: Fast start up time, I loved the performance.

Cons: Drive died less than a year later. Computer would not recognize it. I have to RMA it back to OCZ. We'll see how that goes.
Be sure to back up your files ALL THE TIME when using this drive.

Other Thoughts: Backup your data frequently when using this drive. Check OCZ website for updated bios. I admit, I can't remember if I did that with this drive. I have another OCZ drive - I hope it lasts longer.

Pros: It is a solid state with a warranty.

Cons: Will never buy a drive from OCZ again. There is a high pitch noise that never stops when using this drive. Had the same problem with a OCZ Vertex VtX 4 250gb drive as well.

Other Thoughts: Currently being used in a Dell e6420.

The high-pitched noise you hear is not likely caused by the SSD (either model you tried). The noise generally relates to different power states the system is in. You can eliminate that noise by turning off C1E or Speedstep if possible - also adjusting your power scheme to a plan based on high performance. Pros: none

Cons: randomly drops and forces me to rescan in device manager. have other drives and have no issues like this. i knew when i bought this it was a risk given all the other reports of problems and i was not disappointed by the other reviewers comments.

Pros: Fast when working

Cons: Kept locking up after I first received it. Updated firmware, no luck. The drive freezes when booting windows 4/5 times. I've resorted to leaving my computer on for long periods at a time.

Other Thoughts: Customer support is non-existent, OCZ doesn't care and won't honor their warranty because the drive will turn on.

Pros: None I can think of

Cons: I bought this SSD to replace a WD 10,000K Raptor and have had nothing but issues. The drive freezes my OS every time I boot for 15+ minutes. I have tried to get this thing to work now for nearly 7 months and have had no luck. I even tried RMA back to OCZ but they kept giving me the run around. I will never buy another OCZ product again. I have been in IT pro for almost 11 years and have never seen anything like this.

Other Thoughts: Better off sticking to my 4 year old Raptor!

Pros: Speed. I mean when it works it is fast.

Cons: Drive failure is the worst experience I have ever witnessed as a 10 year IT Professional. It does not "fail" per se. It stops functioning and halts the OS, but no actual Drive Error is logged into the Event Viewer, only application Errors in the Application and System Event Log.

Other Thoughts: I am not going to RMA this drive. It should not have taken me several days and multiple parts to prove the drive is the issue.

It is clear that this Drive Controller is the actual problem. Luckily I sell Network Management Software, so I show my lab systems to Enterprise customers daily. I am now instead am going to Demo this bad drive to all of my potential customers to show what a non-standard Drive Failure is, and the Errors to expect from a low quality device.

I had to type this up several times due to the freezing of this drive on my current system.
