TRIM Support The OCZ Agility 3 offers native TRIM support featured in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Designed to maintain the performance of SSD at an optimal level over the lifetime of the drive, TRIM functions by actively deleting invalid data from the SSD’s memory cells to ensure that write operations perform at full speed. Since a memory block must be erased before it can be re-programmed, TRIM improves performance by pro-actively erasing pages containing invalid data, allowing the SSD to write new data without first having to perform a time-consuming erase command.
S.M.A.R.T. Technology The OCZ Agility 3 adopts Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) which enables the PC to predict the future failure of hard disk drives. Through the SMART system, hard disk drives incorporate a suite of advanced diagnostics that monitor the internal operations of a drive and provide an early warning for many types of potential problems. When a potential problem is detected, the hard drive can be repaired or replaced before any data is lost or damaged.
ECC Recovery Designed with the file verification and repair tool- ECC Recovery, OCZ Agility 3 provides up to 55 bits correctable per 512-byte sector (BCH), protecting your important files and sensitive data against digital corruption by using Reed-Solomon codes.

Issue was due to a bubbled up Capacitor next to the SATA port. Cons: Just the firmware updates. Other Thoughts: Update to the review on 5/26/2013 10:47:19 AM. My 7200rpm drive worked for a short while and then it was unreadable. After a lot of troubleshooting it ended up being an issue with the SATA controller on the MB. Other Thoughts: Even thought the drive failed I would recommend these, Why you ask number. (1) the company is amazing they will make things right for you . (2) people that come on here is a very small majority people that actually bought the drive if you look at the actual data % of the RMA'S it would be extremely low. My self i would deal with a company that is honorable, When the drive did fail the first day i contacted them things were settled all i had to do was mail mine in and wait for the new one to arrive. Cons: Worked for about a year then all of a sudden I've been getting blue screens. From kernel_data_inpage_error's (which is the most common one) to 0X00F4 and scsiport.sys. They would all come on at different blue screens and I still haven't been able to fix the problem. I've been told that this ssd might be dying, say it ain't so. Please contact our Support Forum and reference your various blue screen codes and what corrective steps you have tried so far. Also, please download our Desktop Toolbox and post a screenshot of the drive SMART data. We will quickly investigate what is happening, correct it, or arrange for a warranty resolution. It started having issue and had to rebuild the BCD file for win7 as that area of the disk was unreadable. Repaired and it ran for about a day and now the bios will not even see it anymore. Also, when I did a firmware updates a while ago, it was major PIA. Can not upgrade if it is active and it was my OS/BOOT drive at the time. Had to boot another drive just to do the update. Other Thoughts: Reinstalling on a good old fashion 7200 rpm hard drive from a manufacturer that has never died on me. No skips, fragmentation issues, stalls, anything of the like.
