I have this installed G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL8D-8GBXM already. I want to add the 2 x 8's for a total of 24mb Question is will the two work together? I think they will but I need your opinions...

Randy, generally speaking, you will find that they work fine together as long as the two are in different channels.  Assuming you are already using your existing RAM in dual-channel mode, there should be no compatibility issues with dropping it in the other two slots.  The worst thing likely to occurs is that your system will only work as fast as the slowest set of RAM and that should be so small a difference you will not notice it.

It would also be worthwhile checking your motherboard manufacturer's website and downloading the latest version of the manual to read what they have to say about RAM.

For that extra bit of assurance you may just want to Google "mixing RAM types on [your motherboard" and see what comes up.

I believe that will work with your motherboard. You can download the updated PDF of your motherboard off of their site to see what memory is compatible. You can also use this link http://www.newegg.com/MemoryFinder?&cm_sp=Memory17-_-VisNav-_-MemFinder, from Newegg that makes things easier. Your CPU will not be affected by memory.

will this work with the msi gaming 970 motherboard AMD AM3+?

Most motherboards have a compatibility listing on the manufacturer's website. That being said, I'm confident this ram would work just fine. You may need to go in to the bios to set the proper timing and speed. Good luck!

I'm pondering buying these right now for my budget gaming rig.

My build is as follows

AMD FX-4300 3.8 GHz
AMD 760g Mobo
Gtx 750
400W corsair psu
Windows 8 x64
and last (and definitely least) 4gb of stock ram from a random pc.

I know my mobo doesn't support 1866, but I know it will come down to my native speed (Or so I'm told). Will I have any compatibility issues with this kit? A hasty answer will be much appreciated as they come off sale today unfortunately! Thank you!

I gave using this memory, for about two years. If your motherbord accepts this type of memory, it will run no faster than your FSB speed. Unless you are planning on upgrading your motherboard (now or near future), it would be a waste of money.

are these compatible with an AMD Processor and an Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0?

Yes, I have 4 sticks in exactly that motherboard.  It won't hold at 1866, but I've had it running at 1600 for the past month without issue. A little tweaking might be able to juice 1866 out of it, but I don't have the time to spend testing.

The ram and cpu are compatible, but the more important question is whether or not the ram is compatible with your motherboard.  It likely is, but you could confirm this by checking the preferred vendors list with your motherboard's manufacturer.

I have a h8- 1200z motherboard with dual channel memory architecture (also supports single channel)
Four 240-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets will the motherboard hold me back from using the ram at its full potential?

HP Pavilion HPE h8-1200z CTO has a M3970AM-HP (Angelica2) motherboard. This motherboard only supports DDR3 1333 MHz / DDR3 1600 MHz RAM.

So to answer your question... Yes, your motherboard will NOT be able to use 1866 MHz RAM.

PC3 12800 (DDR3-1600) is what you should be looking for and I feel you would be better off with 8GB instead of 16GB.

Will this RAM work with a Z87-G41 MSI Mobo?

Don't know.  I bought an Asus Z87 board and I have not had any issues.  Motherboard should have list of qualified vendors.  Mine listed G.Skill and I bought it because of the reviews and the life time warranty. If it is 240 pin DDR3, then this probably will work, but that's just a guess.

This sale is temporary.  I bought mine at a much higher price about a month ago.  If you are looking for performance I would suggest you take this deal.  The 1600 pair have tighter timings, but comparing specs alone would not provide insight into newegg's promotional offers.  If I recall, the 1600 pair was on sale for blackfriday/cybermonday.

Will tell you it's not listed, but they can't test everything stick out there, i would say check on the one's that are known to be supported but if you would rather use these i would say they will more then likely work, but getting those speeds you want might not happen but no guarantee they will work
