Question 1

I have these sticks along with a i7-4770k all on a Z87 HERO VI Mobo. I have an OC on my CPU (4.2GHz at v1.24). Ideally, I would like to set my mem speed to 2400 but I'm not sure if it's going to overheat my sticks. I use my rig for CG. Should I just set the speed to 2400 and run a realbench test?

I have the same cpu and mobo, and my overclock is also close to yours (4.3 at v1.27). In order to get your RAM to 2400Mhz you should simply enable the XMP profile in the BIOS. That should set it to its native speed (which already is 2400Mhz). I haven't had any problems with my RAM overheating so I bet you'll be fine. You can run a realbench test to check it but make sure you're using Adaptive Voltage for your Vcore. Also, I use my rig for CG work as well rofl.

Question 2

Is this ram compatable with i7 2600k, I know stock voltage is 1.5 for ram but will I need to up voltage in bios for them to run at 2400? My motherboard is MSI Z77A-G45

ASUS Z87-DELUXE Motherboard. This is for a video editing computer and is not oveclocked. I hope  this is helpful to you.

I cannot say for sure but I am running this kit in a much older Asus P8Z68V Pro motherboard.  It works great for me.  Check your motherboard specs to make sure it cam handle this voltage and maybe see if the approved memory list has it listed.  As long as the voltage offs good,  I would think you should be good but definitely check your specs and maybe update your BIOS for your best chance at compatibility.
