  • newegg Built for Speed Corsair’s Force Series GT uses the new SandForce SF-2280 controller with native support for SATA 6Gb/s, combined with ONFI synchronous flash memory. Force Series GT SSDs deliver outstanding read/write performance and significantly faster system response, boot times, and application load times than SATA 2 solid-state drives, with out-of-box performance of up to 85K Random Write IOPS, read speeds of up to 555MB/s. The Force Series GT is particularly adept at moving compressed data. You'll appreciate this real-world benefit if you work with music, movie and graphics files.
  • newegg SSD Benefits – Reliability, Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption Because SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives. That's important for desktop PCs, and essential for notebooks. Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.
  • newegg Trim Support The Force Series GT SSDs feature support for the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
  • newegg 3.5" Adapter All Force Series GT SSDs are backward compatible with SATA 3Gb/s. The 2.5" form factor allows for installation in most notebook PCs with no adapter required. If you're adding a Force Series GT SSD to your desktop PC, use the included 3.5" adapter to mount it in any standard hard drive bay.

5 out of 5 eggsGood SSD

Pros: Fast
Easy to install

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Just the right size for a boot drive + my "main" game. I have a 1TB Sea-gate Barracuda for everything else. I loaded windows 8 + all updates and software, and Guild Wars 2. I have approx. 11 gigs left. Again, its the "perfect" size. No one "needs" a 128g+ ssd.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!!!

Pros: Wow this is very fast. AMD Athlon 2800+ w/2GB of Ram. I didn't put anything else in just a HDD swap on a 8 yr old computer and it loads so fast!! This is equlivent of when I put an entire GB of ram in 3 yrs ago. Highly would recommend as a operating system HDD. SSD is AWESOME!!!

Cons: NONE AT ALL

Other Thoughts: Good price plenty for any operating system. Only using SATA II but if I had SATA III this would go even faster.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Reliable

Pros: Extremely fast. I boot to the sign on screen of Windows in about 20 seconds. Read/Write speeds are as advertised, and it matches my color scheme (very important).

Cons: None that I can tell. A little under a year and still going strong.

Other Thoughts: Has just enough space for Windows 7 Ultimate and all my drivers, with 6 GB left over.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Goldilocks SSD...

Pros: I have used this model SSD as the OS drive in several servers, DVR's and desktops for customers in recent months. The performance is right up there with all but the highest-end SSD's, but at a much more reasonable price.

Cons: I think the red case is kind of gaudy, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the reason people buy SSD's: performance, about which I can find no reason to complain.

Other Thoughts: Those of you who find the Performance Pro's price too hard/hot and the Nova's performance too soft/cold will find this SSD just right.

5 out of 5 eggsRaid0

Pros: Lasting with out TRIM support
Fast

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I've been running two of these on Raid0 since 04/12/2012 and have not noticed any performance decrease when using various bench marking software. This is unbelievably fast and well worth the money if you're not one that enjoys waiting.

1 out of 5 eggsGo else where

Pros: Because of them sucking I went to intel SSD 3, 120GB in a raid 0 hella nice

Cons: Its not working. PC freezes at random spots at random times (boot screen, browsing the web, Word, anything anytime it can and will freeze) and i believe it was only like a 6.9 in a raid0 set up.

Other Thoughts: HOW TO I GET THEM REPLACED?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Robert,

We're sorry to hear about your troubles with our drive. Please go to http://www.corsair.com/en/support/ and fill out an RMA request and we would be happy to assist you.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD Only had for 1 week but will review again

Pros: -5 eggs so far on quality out of box.
-Great SSD. Reliable so far the week i have had it.
-Im getting 557mb/s on my i72600k with Sata3.
-Boots in 9-10 seconds from HD post screen.
-Performs excellent overall, big upgrade for my PC

Cons: -Should include Fancy Sata cable? :D

Other Thoughts: The SSD is made up of a great material, Makes it seem very rigid which im thinking it is, But i hope it does not got corrupt on me, Remember to read up on setting up your SSD prior to installing windows on it :D, AHCI mode is sometimes a must.
