  • newegg Built for Speed Corsair’s Force Series GT uses the new SandForce SF-2280 controller with native support for SATA 6Gb/s, combined with ONFI synchronous flash memory. Force Series GT SSDs deliver outstanding read/write performance and significantly faster system response, boot times, and application load times than SATA 2 solid-state drives, with out-of-box performance of up to 85K Random Write IOPS, read speeds of up to 555MB/s. The Force Series GT is particularly adept at moving compressed data. You'll appreciate this real-world benefit if you work with music, movie and graphics files.
  • newegg SSD Benefits – Reliability, Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption Because SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives. That's important for desktop PCs, and essential for notebooks. Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.
  • newegg Trim Support The Force Series GT SSDs feature support for the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
  • newegg 3.5" Adapter All Force Series GT SSDs are backward compatible with SATA 3Gb/s. The 2.5" form factor allows for installation in most notebook PCs with no adapter required. If you're adding a Force Series GT SSD to your desktop PC, use the included 3.5" adapter to mount it in any standard hard drive bay.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: Been using this as my ONLY hard drive for my desktop for 4 solid years. I chose security software/antivirus stuff that didnt constantly overwrite the data and drastically reduce it's lifespan. warcraft, Diablo, league of legends, path of exile, planetside, itunes. Zero issues. I meant to get an HDD for my rig also and never got around to it. I've used this 1, single hard drive for everything.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I would absolutely recommend this to others.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth the money!

Pros: Worked well for just over 3 years.

Cons: 240 GB Corsair Force GT SSD. About 4 months after the 3 year manufactures warranty expired, it failed. Don't think I'll ever buy another Corsair SSD, too expensive and not very reliable.

Pros: Bought this drive from the egg 3 years ago and it is still going strong. PC runs 24/7. Like everyone else still waiting for the price to drop on these. Not one bit of a problem

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wish price would come down.

5 out of 5 eggs1.5 years of hard use and still rockin

Pros: Very fast SSD, not had a single iota of any problem. Get somewhere around 500-550mb/s speeds, SSD life is till very good even after heavy use as an OS drive with my higher end games on it for 1.5 years. Heavy gaming use. highly recommend.

Pros: My experience with SSD's is low but so far this has exceeded expectations. Boot time is 20 seconds with this drive and have had no issues to date. Connected using a 6gb/s connection.

( I love that part )

Cons: I half expected the prices to come down more by now.
Still waiting.
