  • newegg Built for Speed Corsair’s Force Series GT uses the new SandForce SF-2200 controller with native support for SATA 6Gb/s, combined with ONFI synchronous flash memory. Force Series GT SSDs deliver outstanding read/write performance and significantly faster system response, boot times, and application load times than SATA 2 solid-state drives, with out-of-box performance of up to 85K Random Write IOPS, read speeds of up to 555MB/s. The Force Series GT is particularly adept at moving compressed data. You'll appreciate this real-world benefit if you work with music, movie and graphics files.
  • newegg SSD Benefits – Reliability, Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption Because SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives. That's important for desktop PCs, and essential for notebooks. Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.
  • newegg Trim Support The Force Series GT SSDs feature support for the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
  • newegg 3.5" Adapter All Force Series GT SSDs are backward compatible with SATA 3Gb/s. The 2.5" form factor allows for installation in most notebook PCs with no adapter required. If you're adding a Force Series GT SSD to your desktop PC, use the included 3.5" adapter to mount it in any standard hard drive bay.

5 out of 5 eggsI own a few

Pros: I own 2 of these and think they are the best choice if one wants high density and fast SATA III speeds. I have never had a problem with Corsair SSDs and I have owned several

Cons: expensive but this is an SSD you know

Other Thoughts: I have one installed in an enterprise computational chemistry server and another in a high end laptop. Each delivers consistent performance for 500 MB/s read/write

5 out of 5 eggsExceptional Speed

Pros: Exceptional Speed. Windows experience max score 7.9

Cons: Although half the price of what it was when it first came out, it is still expensive in my opinion. This of course is true of all SSD offerings. New technology = $$$$

Other Thoughts: Had to upgrade from Intel 510 250GB as it was getting full with apps. Now unhooked and kept with mirror image (compressed) of drive C for back up.

5 out of 5 eggsBlazing fast, no issues - love it.

Pros: Blazing fast, of course.

Cons: None. Popped it in and it's worked like a charm from the beginning. (I've had it for about 2 months now.)

5 out of 5 eggsFast Drive, Very easy upgrade

Pros: I upgraded to this drive from the 240GT. I used the NTI clone and worked great without a problem. ALL programs did not have any issues. I saw the newest firmware on the Corsair forum but I did not think I needed to flash the drive.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The system now is as follows:

5 out of 5 eggsBEST drive upgrade. Period.

Pros: Low power. No noise. Speed. Compatibility. TRIM support. (Not *all* SSDs support TRIM yet! Make sure you're comparing apples to apples!) TRIM support makes certain your write speeds are always fast! Must have an AHCI compatible BIOS for this to work, though.

Cons: None found yet.

Other Thoughts: I swore that when SSDs dropped to under a buck a gig, I'd have one. I did a lot of research before I decided on this one, and I haven't been disappointed yet. I know that my old laptop only has a SATAII interface, but until I get one with a faster one, I just know that my drive will NEVER be my bottleneck. Drive benchmarks in Ubuntu show the bus is saturated, and even at that point, Ubuntu is so fast it hurts my feelings! Dual booting Win7 and Ubuntu offers me under 10 second desktops (under 25 seconds from power-on). Either OS is NOTICEABLY snappier. Longer battery life, and a cooler running laptop are just the proverbial "icing on the cake". A completely un-regretted $400.00 expenditure. Laptop is a Compaq V6444US, dual-core with 4GB RAM. A workhorse it has been, and with this upgrade, I'll be able to extend its useful life at least another 12 to 18 months, PLUS still have a nice, fast SATAIII SSD for my next laptop when I finally do replace this one! Happy Camper!

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Performance

Pros: Yet another top quality product from Corsair.

- Outstanding speed and performance

Cons: none thus far

Other Thoughts: Compared to my first generation Intel SSD, it's light years ahead in performance. It's a nice upgrade for a new build.

5 out of 5 eggswow

Pros: ZOOOOOOOOOOOM
I came from an Intel sata 2 SSD, so this doesn't knock me dead like if I had came straight from 5400RPM-ville, but its still incredible. Not including BIOS, your computer will go from off to a usable, fully loaded desktop in 13 seconds or less, guaranteed. I bought this for a primary reason though, storage. I'm running all my steam games off this baby abd have only used 160GB of the 447. I AM LOVING LIFE

Cons: SATA power and data connectors are super flimsy. I'd advise placing it in your case the right way the FIRST time and only plugging it in once. You wanna blow half a grand just to snap your sata headers off. Also, don't freak out when you see it glowing red on the inside past the sata data connector, it's supposed to do that. (I thought it was on fire!!)

Other Thoughts: Lol, don't listen to Teddy P's review. 5-10% faster? Unless you came from 15 HDDs at 10K in RAID, this SSD will sit on your old HDD and make it beg for mercy. The red color is also balling. Doesn't match everything else blue in my case but I DONT CARE

5 out of 5 eggsIt Jets...

Pros: You want 480GBs of fast SATA-3 SSD like I bought, don't you? Well it aint cheap, but I am (other wise I'd have a gen. 2 SATA SSD at twice the price as well as half the size and speed) so now I'm using this to add size to my Puter's memory instead of speed which would have been great any-way.

Cons: Some people paid half again as much for it and are still happy with it!

Other Thoughts: I use it for my 2 out of 3 of my O. S. partitions (Windows-7 & Windows-8) as well as my shared Virtual Memory Partition and Swap File Partition mounted to all my Operating Systems including my Lap-Top Game-Station [(now Windows-8 formerly Windows-7) which is on my Puter's Super-Array (used primarily for the Scratch Disk Partitions of PhotoShop CS-6 Extended)] which allows me to catalog photos (with presets like Digital Center Filter or PhotoTune) in any of my 3 LightRoom-4 programs while I play World of Warcraft (WoW), then work on them in 1 of my 2 Photoshop CS-6 Extended Lap-Top Work-Stations via C:/Digital-Dark-Room.
