5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: Speed, reliability, ease of installation

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: We use this SSD in our laptops that require a 7mm drive and they have worked great. As far as I know, this is the fastest 7mm SSD available on the market today.

Many deployed within the last year and no issues or bad drives reported.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Good price, good value. SSD speed without breaking the bank. Comes with 'upgrade kit,' which I have no use for, but nice to have anyway.

Cons: Boot times not as fast as I expected, probably my fault somehow.

Other Thoughts: This is a good value, especially on sale. This is my second SSD, and it's much better than the Sandisk I own.

At the time I bought this, the version with the 'upgrade kit' was cheaper than the one without.. not sure why.

5 out of 5 eggsPricey but easy

Pros: Install was as easy as you could ever imagine. Bought the drive for my wifes Z575 lenovo laptop. Turned the cheap thing into a monster speed wise, she loves it! To bad the laptop only has sata II, the drive caps at 270 read / write on atto benchmark. I am confident it would hit its rated speeds with the proper controller as my force gt in my home pc rocks and hits 520write / 560 read on atto.

Also the software and connector the drive come with are nice and work flawless. It also appears you can use the software and hook up kit more than once... hint hint...

Cons: Not cheap.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive - Limited Software

Pros: The drive is a real pro. Corsair has a reputation for reliability and this drive delivers. Install was a snap and the speeds are as advertised. It was also very convenient to have the SATA/USB dongle to make cloning the original drive easier.

Cons: My PC came with a single hard drive partitioned into boot and data partitions. The software that came with the new drive couldn't clone dynamic partitions. I had to use Acronis to clone my old drive to the new SSD. Not the end of the world, of course, but I wish the provided software had been a bit more robust.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus X101CH Netbook HDD Upgrade - Amazing

Pros: Fast !
Great upgrade to the x101ch netbook's spinning hdd.

Cons: None so far, let's see how long it will last now.

Other Thoughts: Upgrading the HDD of the Asus X101CH netbook was definitely like surgery as the netbook itself is not designed to be consumer upgraded. You have to be careful when proceeding otherwise there would go the netbook. Cloned with the software of the upgrade kit, installed the SDD and booted and everything worked well ! No problems so far and the netbook feels way faster and responsive now. Speed tests showed close to 200MB in some of them (as expected, the netbook prob only has SATA I or II.)
If you are looking for info to find out if this works for the asus x101ch netbook, then yep, it does ! and the battery seems to last longer with the sdd.

5 out of 5 eggsNice SSD

Pros: SSD's are hit or miss type of products, this is definatly HIT, Average ratings;
Max Read - 495mb/s - 75-82k iops
Max Write - 455mb/s -74-82k iops

14-16 seconds, Power Button to Desktop Time for me.
15-20 seconds for BF3, Loading Level to In-game effect.

Cons: None as of now for this little SSD!

Other Thoughts: Like I said, SSD's are hit and miss at this time due to technology, eventually SSD's will slow down and might blow a module, this happens eventually to all SSD's.

5 out of 5 eggsFAST!

Pros: This thing is FAST! I connected it SATA III with my Samsung Series 5 laptop, and now from power on to windows login screen takes 7 seconds. The Windows splash screen literally just flashes on the screen for about a second.

Im very glad the drive came with the USB to SATA plug and the drive cloning software because with these new laptops and the iSSD chips ("express cache" in this case), it is a PIA to install windows fresh without a DVD drive. For whatever reason, windows installation from USB just doesnt work. Cloning was simple and quick with the included software.

Before this drive came out, the only other 7mm options were the Intel SATAII drives and the Crucial SATA III's with the slowish write times.

Cons: Size. Not really Corsairs fault though. After Windows installation and the OEM recovery partition, im left with only 60GB free.
