1 out of 5 eggsHard drive failed after a month =[

Pros: Cheap and works and is a "pretty" hard drive

Cons: Fingerprint magnet, hard drive failed to work after 1 month of light usage, i put ~600 gb of data that i have to get recovered as a result of the hard drive failure, headache and a mess

Other Thoughts: would not buy again, shell out the money for a more expensive and more reliable external HD!

4 out of 5 eggsGood External Drive

Pros: It works as an external USB drive should and its smaller profile made it handy for me to carry with me for client backups. It was just what I needed on a large (large for me anyway) user migration project.

Cons: The only ding is the proprietary cable, but that's a fairly minor ding. As long as the included cable keeps working (and I don't lose it) then this is really a non-issue. It would be nice, though, to be able to use a longer cable with it.

Other Thoughts: I would take a serious look at purchasing another one of these. In fact, I've thought about just making it a standard practice to just purchase one of these for every data migration project I do.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good for an Xbox One Ext HDD

Pros: I bought this strictly as an external drive to my Xbox One since reviews said it was one of the fastest/best for the price. It works perfectly. I have no problems... granted I've only had it for roughly a month at this point.

Cons: I have no problems with the device at the moment.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for Xbox One

Pros: Great loading speeds
Sleek glossy black design compliments the Xbox One perfectly.
Absolutely silent
USB powered
7200rpm

Cons: None so far. Working flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: For anybody trying to make the decision on whether or not to pull the trigger on this for your Xbox One let me say you will not make a mistake if you do so with this drive. This drive has dramatically decreased game load times and doubles the Xbox One's drive capacity.

A couple of load time examples:

Watch dogs from starting to being able to play:

Xbox One Internal: 2:03
External: 1:44

Forza 5 Free Play map load for Nurburgring:

Xbox One Internal: 42 seconds
External: 30 seconds

VERY happy so far with getting this drive!

2 out of 5 eggsOops. Disappointed.

Pros: It sort of works.

Cons: The USB cable connection to the hard drive is flaky. The drive frequently disconnects from my laptop, seemingly when I touch anything anywhere on my desk. I don't know whether I should trust my backups, or not.

Other Thoughts: Used with my MacBook Pro / OSX 10.8.

I've got a long relationship with HGST products, and have had very good success with their products over the years. This is disappointing.

2 out of 5 eggsNot enthusiatic

Pros: Seems to work well with my Windows machines.

Cons: Getting to connect to my MacBook is a constant struggle. Usually requires wiggling the connector at the drive. Since I purchased it to use with my MacBook, this is frustrating.

Other Thoughts: I've long considered HGST to be a preferred source for all kinds of hard drives, and now wonder if recent management changes are having subtle down-stream effects.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive and no problems. Faster, higher capacity, smaller form and quieter than my old WD Elements drive. Using with Mac Time Machine without issue.

Cons: None.
