5 out of 5 eggsExcellent External HDD

Pros: - No Power Outlet Power Source Required
- USB Connection
- Small
- Fast
- Quite

Cons: - Short Connection Cable

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent external HDD. I use this drive for backing up my family computer. From day one, this drive has worked well and I have no complaints with it.
The drive is small and does not require an outlet power source. The drive is recognized almost instantly while working fast and quietly. The USB connection cable is a little short, probably about 1ft, but that isn't really a problem.
I recommend this drive 100% .

1 out of 5 eggsWon't Ever Buy Seagate

Pros: They are the most affordable but it's a big gamble because you can't replace your data once it's lost!.

Cons: I have five 2 TB Seagate HD's that are only good for paper wieghts. However; in a paperless world, they are not even good for that.

I've lost thousands of gigabytes of data because of these Seagate HD's. Don't waste your money, spend a little more and get a WD or any other brand but Seagate!!!!!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsQuite a Jellybean

Pros: Bought a few of these for our users. Work great with true USB 3.0 ports -- I suspect most will plug into a laptop. Recognized quickly, formatted in NTFS. Spun right up. Comes with usb 3.0 cable. Speed is great, transferring between 80-100 MBps, roughly the same as plugging in a sata spinning drive directly

Cons: Might be sensitive to power, as didn't spin up well on one desktop, although that port may have been in use by other devices as well. If you choose to keep this thing plugged in long term, you might not appreciate the short cable. When traveling, you will not want to keep the cable plugged into the drive, as it might snap off when you put in a bag.

Other Thoughts: For me, the ideal use for this device is to back up all my laptops and leave this in my desk drawer.

3 out of 5 eggsMessed up once, Am trying again

Pros: Fast, no setup required, and portable. USB 2.0 Compatible as well as 3.0. Overall a very good little drive

Cons: Mine died with barely any use after a month and a half (was unable to copy to the drive, tried to the reformat when everything stopped working completely). I have tried everything, but the drive will not work with the USB interface. I disassembled and tried with multiple SATA to USB type connectors and only attained limited intermittent functionality with them. However the drive itself works flawlessly as a normal SATA drive so I don't know what the issue could be.

Other Thoughts: I only realized the issue after my RMA period had run out, and I had no time for trying to get it fixed or replaced under warranty from the manufacture. I have purchased another and am waiting for delivery and will update my review once it arrives.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with PS4

Pros: Nice case, easy to pull apart, a lot of space for the price.

Cons: The USB cable is really short. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: I removed it from the case and upgraded my PS4 HDD with it, no problems so far. My 500GB HDD fit nicely on the case so I can still use it as external hard drive.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, Fast, Fast!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Its cool to the touch, very lightweight, and most of all, very fast data transfers.

Cons: USB 3 cable is very short :(

Other Thoughts: Good things come in small packages, and this little Seagate external drive is no exception. I'm very happy with it overall. Now if only a longer USB cable was available for it..........

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great Mac/PC

Pros: I was able to quickly reformat to FAT using a downloaded Seagate utility. I wanted to be able to transfer files between Mac and PC. Works great. Drive is small and apparently silent.

Cons: none that I have found

5 out of 5 eggsExpansion drive for my Xbox one

Pros: First I got to say its my first portable external hard drive that I bought so when I received my Hard drive I was relly happy to see that it really small compared to normal external drive(the one that you need a power cord). And this drive work perfect with my xbox one, it took less that 15min to transfer a 40gb for my internal hard drive to this one!

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Maybe I should place this in cons but for me it was not a problem, the usb 3 cable that is coming with this drive is really small(around 40cm) so if you plan on buying this drive for a pc I think you will need to buy a longer cable.
