1 out of 5 eggsKeyboard was broken and they probably knew about it

Pros: This is a great standard keyboard, and having it work with the unifying usb dongle is even better.

Cons: Price. You can get the same keyboard in non-unifying format WITH a mouse for $20. This keyboard alone is $30.

Other Thoughts: I am not recommending this company as they most likely purposely sold me a broken keyboard. I emailed them a comment that it was broken and they completely ignored me.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat for pairing with other LogiTech stuff

Pros: Works with the Unifying Receiver which is nice.

Cons: I wish the keys were a bit more responsive. The whole thing feels super light and flimsy. I like more heft in my keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat reminder of Logitech's old high quality hardware.

Pros: It worked and worked well. Keys never stick, it was light, felt solid, and its energy management is phenomenal (2 years on standard, non-rechargeable batteries).

Cons: Software issues eventually caused me to get rid of the thing 2 years ago, which is sad as the unifying receiver, a conceptually great piece of tech, is marred by bad or slow driver updates. I know this wasn't the keyboard as both its unifying receiver and the keyboard itself still worked flawlessly on other machines running a 32-bit OS. This is the fault of Logitech and not the keyboard.

Other Thoughts: This thing was working throughout the rest of my XP and Windows 7 32-bit system years without a hitch. My upgrade to a 64-bit OS did in the unifying receiver software, but hopefully this has been rectified by now.

1 out of 5 eggshardly works at 5 feet

Pros: wireless

Cons: I bought two of these from the local store. Both will hardly work from 5 feet away even with the computer pulled out of its cubby and nothing else wireless running in the house. Either I have a specific source of interference nearby or these things are terrible.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's everything I expected

Pros: - Feels like it won't just fall apart or break within a year.
- Stamped white lettering on the buttons are bold and very easy to see even in low light.
- PC power button is great (also known as a sleep button depending on which settings you set your PC power management to).
- Love the calculator shortcut button too.
- Compact design without compromising too much button size is mainly why I chose it.
- It's everything my previous keyboard was, but slightly better... and with a name brand like Logitech, I doubt it'll act up like my previous cheap keyboard did.
- Wireless range is more than perfect for my needs (1 meter away). Though I did test it at 3 1/2 meters away and it still worked fine for me, maybe a little bit of lag for signal to transfer, nothing overly dramatic though.

Cons: - I'd imagine the unifying feature would still be an issue if there's more than 1 computer using wireless Logitech peripherals. Haven't really experimented with that yet though.

Other Thoughts: - I really wish they'd make more keyboards that didn't have the pointless numpad. I bought this keyboard because the ones without the numpad didn't have the features I wanted or were overpriced.
- Make sure to go to Logitech/unifying website to get the software which allows any Logitech wireless peripherals to work with a single USB receiver (up to 6 including old peripherals that didn't even come with a unifying USB receiver... they work with the unifying receiver too!).
- While some complained about not having a numlock / scroll lock indicator, I'm quite satisfied with not having it. I do appreciate the Capslock indicator though.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Battery life! It came with 2 AAA batteries 10/2012 and is STILL running on the same batteries 02/2015 in a daily use HTPC! According to OpenSUSE's tray battery monitor I'm still at 49% battery. Beat that!

Cons: Wouldn't prefer the profile of the keys for workstation use, but they do just fine on an HTPC.

Other Thoughts: Will buy again for my next wireless keyboard needs unless there's another keyboard that REALLY impresses me.

2 out of 5 eggsDo not be fooled.

Pros: It's wireless, and actual pressing of the keys feel nice.

Cons: I primarily bought this keyboard for my living room computer as well as the Logitech M705 mouse simply because I do not want tacky cords, and with company over we can easily lounge on the couch.

The Issue?

It states 33ft. I currently am having to place my keyboard at an incredibly awkward position just for my computer to pick it up. How far is my keyboard and mouse from my keyboard? One minute while I go grab a tape measure...At any given time, when I am trying to operate these wireless pieces from my couch it is between 7 and 8.5 feet in distance. Essentially 1/3 of the max range they said these should be operating at. I get constant drops, and/or the computer does not recognize any inputs until I pick up the device and shift it towards the TV. If anyone wants to see a picture of my setup I would be incredibly fine with doing so.

I have had these devices now for about 5 months and am finally feeling the need to warn others. I am incredibly tech savvy and have done hours of research on numerous days to try and increase connectivity of these devices. To no avail they still fail miserably on a daily basis.

The one that that truly irritates me the most is that around 2005 when I was graduating from high school I had an other Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo. Except back then, I was able to take them across walls over 50 feet away and my computer would pick it up instantly. How did I test this? Well because I used to mess with my friends on nights they'd come over by taking my keyboard into the living room (50+ feet away) and utilizing the next song buttons. Don't worry, I also utilized the stop, back, pause, volume down, volume up and mute buttons as well. All worked perfectly.

The amount of frustration of using these two devices has caused me to write these reviews. So please take my rant any way you want.

Other Thoughts: Keyboard has a Play, Pause, Mute, Volume down, Volume up buttons, but no next or reverse. Not a huge deal but would be nice if they were there.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It Syncs to the same usb receiver as my mouse. It is also very light weight and isn't very load.

Cons: It takes AAA. I wish it took AA

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best.

Pros: Still works after 2 years, only replaced the batteries once.

Cons: I've owned this keyboard for 2 years now, my setup is a pc hooked up to my tv and I browse and game from my couch so distance is a thing for me. I own a logitech keyboard (this one) and a mouse, the mouse works without flaw so i know the unifying receiver works good, but as for the keyboard you have to sit in the exact right spot or it "freezes" and if you move the keyboard around after it "freezes" it starts typing what you typed and misses some letters... I'm only about 6 feet away from the base of the pc and sitting in direct view of it and still this keyboard has challenges working, ultimately ive gone through a lot of keyboards and mice trying to figure out what actually works for my setup and i finally found the perfect mouse but my search continues for a keyboard. Also about a year into ownership the media keys gave out.
