SAMSUNG BX2440X Black 24" 5ms Height & pivot adjustable stand Full HD LED Backlight LCD monitor 250 cd/m2 DC 1,000,000:1(1000:1)

Pros: I purchased two of these monitors about a year ago and have been using them 15+ hours a day since. I haven't had a single problem. The only reason I'm posting this is because of all the negative reviews I see - I'm here again because I'm looking to buy a third (three display setup).

Cons: I noticed that they advertise this monitor that you can view the monitor at any angle and it's perfectly viewable... not exactly true. It's a wicked awesome display, but if it's angled too far it does degrade in brightness. But really not a problem in my book.

Other Thoughts: I purchased these bad boys with a Ergotron dual monitor adjustable arm stand, and am going to buy a second ergotron single montior arm stand for my third display. Unfortunately, as of 9/14/2011, newegg doesn't have any of these samsung BX2440 displays in stock :(

Pros: - View angles can be configured in settings
- Can do portrait mode
- No dead pixels (and I bought 3 of these)
- Easy to configure height and stable
- Beautiful displays
- Power-saving LED

Cons: - A little too bright, but that can be easily configured

Other Thoughts: I bought these for my workstation, but my workstation also serves as my gaming PC. They are clear and easy on the eyes when I'm coding, then beautiful and crisp/responsive when I'm gaming.

Pros: Large Screen, clear picture

Cons: Stand seems a little flimsy

Pros: The monitor is simply superb. A great picture; crisp and fast images even with the DVI input. It makes me weep tears of joy every time I play Crysis on it or watch a Blu-ray movie. It also has a 1sec start-up time.

One of the main reasons I bought this monitor was for my work with AutoCAD as an architecture major. The great real estate was a must and the ability to rotate the screen easily has actually come in use for more the vertically oriented structures I've designed.

The other reason was the power consumption, and I have not been disappointed. At around 35watts when in use, it hardly uses any when on standby. One might consider turning down the brightness, particularly when watching movies, but that's up to the individual's discretion.

Cons: Unfortunately the screen came with one small chip; not really a chip, but a incredibly small damaged spot with a total area of around maybe 2x3pixels. Not much to complain about, but it has been annoying on occasion.

Other Thoughts: One can't go wrong here. Whether you're a gamer, designer, engineer, or simply someone who likes a good amount of real estate in your monitors, you won't be disappointed.

Cons: I got two bad monitors in a row. First monitor was dark on the top half, washed out bright on the bottom. Sent it in for a replacement, and the replacement was damaged. A strip of LED's at the bottom are dead, making a section of the screen almost black. And once the monitor has been on for a couple of minutes, it flashes from my desktop, to completely black. Like the monitor is going on/off, on/off, on/off ever 5 seconds.

Other Thoughts: Samsung's Quality Control is abysmal. Giving Newegg this many bad monitors is pathetic. I thought that each monitor was tested by Samsung before being sent off. Looks like Samsung needs new employees to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen. At the moment, I am one very disgruntled customer.

Pros: Pros: Can be adjusted to your level, No problems at all, turns left and right no problems and also can be turned vertically. neat to have but don't really know what to use it for. LED Backlit is amazing. Very Light and easy to setup.

Cons: Cons: When turned vertically you have to unplug the powercord and then turn it. Would have been nice to have the powercord on the other side, doesn't bother me because im never going to turn it sideways.

Other Thoughts: Other:This Monitor is amazing. I was using a CRT monitor before recieving this monitor and the picture and quality is Flawless!

Pros: Good quality overall. easy to use with buttons and set ups. portrait and landscape mode available.

Pros: Superb picture, no glare, fast, crisp images on the DVI input. It switches easily between the VGA and DVI inputs – works well with my desktop (DVI) and server KVM switch (VGA). The monitor has easy to reach mechanical push buttons on bottom edge of screen. Power consumption is abound a low 35 Watts and just a small fraction of a Watt in stand-by or turned off. It has about a one second startup time. The LED backlight can provide lots of brightness if needed. I have my brightness turned way down to keep from going blind. Excellent stand that swivels, rotates and goes up and down to set it to the correct viewing height.

Cons: Images from the VGA port were “muddy”. I decided it was the cheap VGA cable and purchased a replacement from Cables To Go – Product # 28243. That solved my issue with the VGA picture quality. This prevented me from giving it a full five-egg rating.

Other Thoughts: This monitor was a good investment at what I consider a good price.

Pros: Great picture with flawless resolution. Nice pop up or pin down option to raise or lower the height on the monitor.

Cons: Kind of cheap base for the adjustment but still sturdy so I didn't take off an egg.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money.

Pros: Sharp image, large amount of real estate. Looks great and easy to set up.

Cons: no speakers. Didn't drop an egg for the no speakers. I knew what I was getting, but speakers would be a nice addition to a very good monitor.

Other Thoughts: I've read complaints about flimsy stands, but I think the stand does well. It's probably medium grade, could be better, but it's more than adequate.
