So it is an advanced display that produces precise and vivid colors with spot on detail even from different viewing angles. Full HD is taken to new heights with exceptional contrast ratios and brightness levels that bring out subtle color differences as well as the deepest and the most difficult shades of black.

It also seeks to be an environmentally friendlier product earning the highest EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) Gold rating.

Consuming less power than the previous LCD models, LED technology also limits the amount of halogen or mercury used to manufacture each unit.

2 out of 5 eggsFor the same price grab a 1ms response time monitor from Asus

Pros: If you do research this might be the one for you

Cons: 1000:1 / 5000000:1 (dynamic) means that 5,000,000 is false! They market it like that but it's not true sadly, it gets better over time (their dynamic technology) but it's still 1000! You get weird picture quality unless you do 1000, your colors will be always shifting.

Honestly..... if you game get a 1ms or 2ms response time monitor for the same price and size

There's no comparison

Other Thoughts: Eggs off for selling a 14ms response time for the price of 1ms response time Asus monitor

My review only counts if you're into the tech details and for gaming, casually buying it hey I mean for you money you still aren't getting what you payed for at 14ms but you got it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat IPS monitor for the price

Pros: This is an IPS monitor which means you get great viewing angles and color reproduction. The response time is advertised as 14ms, but I don't notice any screen lag at all. I've played BF3, Crysis 2, Need for Speed, DayZ Mod, and WoW without any problems. Youtube videos are without lag as well. No bleed.

Cons: The auto-sleep/energy saving mode is really annoying. You can turn it off by pressing the Function key under the monitor and turning it off. You should also change the sleep option on your PC because that will auto-turn off the monitor as well.

Monitor buttons aren't labeled, but they are in a convenient location (right under the screen).

Other Thoughts: Some sites and people will tell you that you need a monitor with high refresh rates (120hz) and low response time (2ms), but I think if you're a casual gamer or even semi-hardcore, this monitor will be great. I'm of the persuasion that great viewing angles and color reproduction make the monitor! And at this price point, you're getting a great IPS monitor for a comparable price to a TN monitor.

I have a sturdy desk and the stand and monitor do not feel flimsy or like they will fall. When I do press the button to turn the monitor on, the monitor does tilt on the stand a little, but is it nothing concerning.

Overall, very happy I went with this monitor as my first monitor purchase and that I got it on sale!

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what I need it to.

Pros: Crispy pixels. Not much else to say.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It is not enough to knock it down an egg but it does bother me that when using the HDMI port, it will not boot up with my computer. I have it set as my main monitor because it's better than my other one. So I have to watch that screen to know when Windows pulls up to know when to turn it on. I have done a little research but no real answer, it's more of an inconvenience than a concern. I really don't want to take the time to see if the the GPU driver, MB, a BIOS setting, etc so I just go to the bathroom after I turn my computer on. Then turn on the monitor when I come back. Yeah, I know TMI.

4 out of 5 eggsFair

Pros: Sharp picture, nice color after calibration.

Cons: Bought two for use in an eyefinity setup with an existing IPS236. I find that they go into sleep mode when the screen is dark, like during a movie. The only way I have found to make it stop is to change the picture mode from custom to something like "game mode", but then I lose my calibrated color settings and it looks garish.

Other Thoughts: Nice at the sale price I got them at, but I would have been happier with a couple more IP236 units.

Pros: easy to setup, high revolution, reasonable price.

Cons: so far none

Other Thoughts: just wanted to setup a second monitor for my PC and did a few internet research. found out this is excellent monitor based on the price and quality. 5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Monitors

Pros: Great value IPS panels. I bought two of them when they were on sale and they work perfectly.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I don't know why people complain about the stands being wobbly. As long as you don't shake your desk a lot, you would never notice it.

5 out of 5 eggsGoop Screen for General and Mid to Light Gaming

Pros: Looks Great. I spent a lot of time searching for my monitor and I choose this one because it was one of the Cheapest IPS monitors ($130 when i got it). It was well worth the price for what i got.

Cons: It is a little light, hard to adjust angles, and you cant pick it up by the stand because the pieces aren't connected by anything but gravity, but these flaws really are negligible and it never takes away from my experience.

Other Thoughts: If you are a beginning pc builder like me just make sure you try and match your screen to what you are putting into your graphics card. Obviously a cheap screen with an amazing card is stupid and so is the reverse. This one (i feel) fits my Radeon HD 7870 pretty well.
