5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed

Pros: Very clear screen
Big
Good color
Relatively cheap

Cons: Only includes a VGA cable

Other Thoughts: I have purchased 7 of these monitors over the last 6 months or so and everyone I give one to is very impressed. I now have users requesting this monitor when it is their turn to upgrade.

3 out of 5 eggsNot That Impressed

Pros: Cost was OK, if not on the high side for what I received.

Cons: Picture resolution is not very impressive. Only came with one standard VGA cable, Did not have an HDMI cable, although it does have a HDMI connection point. Did not come with an Audio Cable, even though the monitor has speakers. Did not come with the Drivers & Owners Manual CD-ROM.
It was purchased as a "New" device. I'm wondering if this was a previously used/opened/returned item ???

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a 7-year old Hewlett-Packard 24" HD Monitor (HP x2408h) from approx. 2007. The BenQ is larger (27"), but the HP has better resolution and is still working great.
At this point I would not recommend this item, unless it was at an exceptionally low price.

5 out of 5 eggs27 Inch BenQ Monitor is Big in many ways!

Pros: Price - Excellent for the size vs Cost
newegg delivery - received the monitor 1 day after payment...Excellent!
Monitor - 1920 by 1080 is the max resolution, but I knew that when I purchased it and it is a huge difference over my 17" 1920x1080 laptop monitor. This is where the size does make a difference. I am not a gamer, so I won't see shadowing, but it plays Netflix and movies very nicely. The speakers are what should be expected...not great, but good to have.

Cons: Cons - None, I bought a 27 inch monitor for less than $220 (with coupon) delivered. It works exactly as advertised.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for more than 1920x1080 or you are used to a 24 inch monitor that cost the same price as this one, this isn't the monitor for you. It is a Big, Basic monitor with small speakers at a very decent price. I love it!

5 out of 5 eggsWorking Great & No Lag

Pros: I moved from an expense Dell 24 to this 27.
It's hard giving up the 1920x1200 screen size to go to 1920x1080
Love the screen size and great colors.

NO ISSUES WITH SLEEP OR BOOTUP LAG.

I was worried after reading reviews about boot up screen delays or coming out of sleep. Some posted that they could not even see the bios screens.
No problems for me using DVI or HDMI.

Cons: Getting use to the bigger text and lack of page space is the only con for me. I'm getting older and my eyesight is going so maybe this isn't a con going forward after all.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Very sharp and bright. Clear screen and I like how the buttons are placed on the right side instead of the bottom with white icons to show which button is which. I also got it on sale for $200 which was a great price!

Cons: I cannot see any cons at this time.

Other Thoughts: I first purchased the AOC e2752She which had issues and wasn't very crisp and clear and I think my purchase of the Benq was a much better one!

5 out of 5 eggsNot Too Bright

Pros: Perfect! Pushbuttons for all adjustments. Heavy base. Good viewing from across the room and from different angles. Only bought it to use as a monitor, but now even use it for movies and watch from across the room.

It's very easy to turn the brightness and contrast way down to work for hours in a pitch black room if you wanted to.

This monitor is phenomenal. No dark areas.

Cons: Built in speakers are just OK, but I gladly trade that off for freeing up desk space from separate speakers. If you want sound to fill a room, plug in speakers with more than the 2 watts that are built into this monitor.

Other Thoughts: The monitor is well made and suprisingly it's not too big to use for normal computer desktop work. I'm glad I bought this monitor instead of two 19" standard resolution monitors which I was considering.

1 out of 5 eggsToo Bright!

Pros: It's a nice size. I suppose a lot of people like it from the reviews. I thought because of the reviews it would be good however. . .

Cons: It's too bright! I lowered the brightness all the way down to zero using the menu, and it's still hard on the eyes after a few hours. My eyes hurt! So I cannot recommend it.

I asked BenQ to send me info on a good color profile for it when it is at brightness zero -- no reply.

Other Thoughts: My old LCD was not too bright like this one. I will have to return this one and get another until I find one not so blinding.
