5 out of 5 eggsWONDERFUL

Pros: No tearing
Perfect 144 frames
I used Ninjas in Pyjama's custom color profiles, looks awesome
0 dead pixels
Has stood up to a few re-locations when I took it to my friends' houses

Cons: Please do not use the default colors. Look up tutorials on fixing them.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this monitor again, and so should you.

4 out of 5 eggsGood monitor, possible compatibility issue

Pros: 144hz !!! What could be better than that
Smooth gameplay for FPS if you have a high frame rate.

Cons: So apparently skype wont run at 144hz so you have to have your resolution set to 120hz or lower. You can manually set games to run at 144hz but that takes a little more work to do. I believe its also related to running an AMD gpu and using skype at 144hz will crash your dispaly.

Other Thoughts: Skype needs to work on its program to make it work in 144hz with AMD driveres.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Amazing quality 144hz is such a big difference. If you're a gamer currently playing on 60hz you need to upgrade. I can't believe how much better this is!

Cons: Color Calibration is horrible at first but you can fix it yourself :)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat FPS Monitor; Requires Calibration

Pros: -- Outstanding response time and zero flicker really make FPS gaming better (BF4: ultra settings, 1080p @ 60Hz)

-- Once calibrated, the monitor looks great and colors are very accurate for TN panel

-- Has 3 extra buttons on the bottom right side that you can set as "Custom Keys" to specific options you might access frequently like blur reduction, brightness and low blue light

-- Matte finish on the screen helps reduce reflection

-- Adjustable height, tilt and swivel

Cons: -- The default settings are all ATROCIOUS; color, sharpness, contrast, gamma are all very jacked up out of the box, and switching from the "FPS" profiles to the "Standard" profile provides little improvement (HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the Windows Display Color Calibration to get the best calibration, and turn on ClearType Text)

-- BenQ Display Pilot software is trash; use Widows Display Color Calibration first then set the 3 custom key buttons on the bottom right of the monitor to whatever you need (like blur reduction)

-- Not really a con per say, but the brightness at 100% is like looking directly into the sun. I'm in an office with 2 windows and only need the brightness at 25%

-- No DP

-- Windows will only let me set the refresh rate at 60Hz for some reason; I am running a DVI-D dual link cable from this to my R9 280x with res at 1920x1080 but it still will not give me the option to increase any higher than 60Hz. I heard you should only change the refresh rate through the Windows display settings so I'm not quite sure what to do about this...

Other Thoughts: My build:
-- Rosewill Blackhawk ATX Tower
-- Corsair AX760 PSU
-- MSI Z87-G45 mobo
-- Intel Core i5-4670k
-- NZXT Kraken X31 liquid cooler
-- XFX R9 280X 3GB GPU
-- 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866MHz C9
-- Samsung 840 EVO SSD
-- Noctua NF-F12 (on NZXT radiator) and NF-S12A fans
-- BenQ XL2411Z monitor

5 out of 5 eggsStellar gaming monitor

Pros: Best value I've seen in the field of 144hz gaming monitors. This product is usually compared to ASUS's VG248QE--I've heard both those and the 2411Z's use the same panel, but the 2411Z has a matte finish as opposed to the ASUS's glossy (and more reflective) finish. BenQ also offers more versatile firmware that lets you change more with the monitor, and it's in this firmware where the monitor really shines.

Some reviews of this monitor decry its awful out of the box colors--the packaging of the monitor even states that its default settings are not for everyone and can be extensively altered. I'm not sure why BenQ has chosen such awful default settings, but if you look around online you can find some wonderful profiles that only take a few minutes to set up. And once you do, this monitor truly shines. Its colors are almost on par with an IPS panels while offering far better response time and refresh rate.

Cons: Mine shipped with a green stuck pixel. Only one and it doesn't bother me, so I'm not going to dock an Egg.

Other Thoughts: I haven't used this monitor for NVIDIA 3D Vision and I honestly couldn't care less about the feature. I bought this monitor to play Counter Strike and gaming on 144 hz is honestly worlds different than gaming on 60 hz. Check out the Blurbusters BenQ blur reduction utility

5 out of 5 eggsGreat FPS monitor

Pros: Very good picture ( for being TN ), very nice build quality, easy set up, 144hz! Best for FPS games.

Cons: Some what faded color production, no display port. I run this monitor next to my IPS monitor and you can definitely tell the difference between color quality.

Other Thoughts: This is a great monitor if you consider yourself a FPS gamer. I went from a IPS 60hz with a 7ms response time which kept causing motions sickness to this awesome monitor, I can say that I can play RPG and FPS games for hours on end and not once have had any motion sickness feeling.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome monitor

Pros: The monitor is tailored for performance and my experience with gaming has been unparalleled.

The menu functionality is great and very easy to use.
I'm more of a simple kind of guy, but the software that BenQ provides seems rather handy.

A lot of options, and the stand and swivel are quality.

Cons: The colors although are kind of bland, and you can never seem to just get them right.

Other Thoughts: I knew beforehand that the colors for this monitor were sub-par. I do not use the software BenQ provides, instead I tweaked the color settings with Nvidia's control panel and I use sRGB mode...not the all-time greatest, but I'm definitely satisfied. Will recommend.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for games, does not do videos

Pros: 144hz, upgraded from 60hz and just wow, so much smoothness

You can really notice the difference in a game like CS:GO

Cons: Like i said its good for gaming but whenever i try to play a video, (youtube or VLC) the whole monitor just goes to grey noise and i have to somehow close my browser or whatever app is playing the video blindly to make it stop or restart my computer

weirdest issue ever. It only happens when its the only monitor enabled, i have dual monitors when im not gaming to maximize my FPS since my video card is older, if i have dual monitors running it can play videos just fine.

I'm taking two eggs off for this until i can find a fix, i've messed with the settings and tried google, found two others with the same problem but no fixes. i'm sure the fix is out there but i haven't looked too hard yet as its not a huge issue since i have another monitor.

Other Thoughts: Wish the 27'' wasn't 400 dollars more:) 24 is good though

4 out of 5 eggsTakes More Than a Little Configuration

Pros: A good price for a 144 Hz monitor, although out of the box you might be disappointed in it and think you made a terrible mistake, after a bit of fiddling with the settings and various other configuration tools (Blur Busters is your friend) you can get the colors to be pretty accurate, with less noticeable grey-blacks than other TNs I've used. The inclusion of the v2 firmware makes all that much easier, and the ability to save profiles means I could test adjustments and easily fall back to previous settings if they messed things up.

Cons: Yes, it is not IPS, but after some messing with really all you miss out on is the viewing angle, the additional refresh rate makes up for that to me, it's a judgement call. This, however, is NOT the monitor for someone who wants something that just works... It takes some doing to get right. The stand also adds to its size needlessly so, and moves it somewhat uncomfortably forward on my desk.

Other Thoughts: Haven't bothered with 3D, probably won't, it's kinda not my thing.
