5 out of 5 eggsGreat Projector

Pros: Very bright with a great picture. We use this in our office for powerpoint and to watch movies on. Not only can we leave the blinds open now but lights can be on without cause to much loss of picture.

Cons: need to find out how to make the computer not turn on automatically when it senses a new source. We have a DVD player in the office that we also play CD in the office for music. In the morning when we turn on the DVD player the projector automatically turns on. Not a big deal but just say in.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this projector again

5 out of 5 eggsGreat projector

Pros: I was looking for a cheap, bright, 1080p projector; this is it. I use it for showing outdoor movies on a 16 foot wide 2:40 screen. People are amazed at the quality. Lots of fun.

Cons: Manual focus and manual zoom can make setup a little bit more time consuming, especially in a mobile or portable type setup. Also, no lens shift can make positioning somewhat difficult. These are the trade offs you deal with for getting such a good quality image for such a relatively low price.

Other Thoughts: I'm looking for an anamorphic lens to use with this thing but can't find anything for less than $2000.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome projector

Pros: Very bright with 4500 lumens, LOTS of inputs and even 1/8" audio output, true 1080P and also compatible with 24P sources.

Cons: So far none.

Other Thoughts: Still have only about 5 hours of use on this but I am blown away with the brightness and image quality of this projector. We are using it in a covered backyard patio area - gets pretty dark at night but it is NOT a true light controlled environment as there are some lights from sources we can't fully control. Using a 100" diagonal Draper Luma Screen with Contrast Gray colored screen in there.

We also got a giant 120" portable Camp Chef portable outdoor movie theater screen for use around my sister-in-law's large backyard and pool area which overlooks a small lake. Last night (July 3) even some of the neighbors across the lake (over 200' away) were coming out to their backyards as we watched Independence Day in HD back there.

I have a 61" Samsung LED DLP TV in my main living room and the Optoma BLOWS AWAY it and anything I've ever seen before in any home environment. I thought this would look good, but I've been stunned at just how awesome the image quality is using either of the

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: Extremely sharp. Looks incredible when playing Blurays in my hometheater, don't listen to that other guy's review, he probably just got a bad lamp, because in ALL the time I've owned it, I've never had to replace the lamp, and I use it at full brightness 100% of the time. You can tell it (when it's searching for an input) to only search certain ones, you check which ones you want it to search, and then it'll find your source a heck of a lot quicker. I have it going through HDMI 1, so it literally finds my source within 2 seconds. I have it projected at 13 feet, and looks sharper then a theater sitting maybe 15-20 feet away from it. I would seriously recommend this to anyone doing a presentation, or doing a home theater. It's truly a masterpiece projector. Has all the inputs you'll ever need, and the HDMI even supports audio, there's outputs for the HDMI so you can grab the audio coming from the HDMI and port it somewhere else if needed. High quality incredible projector. 5/5

Cons: The only thing I would say is it takes a while to find your source if you don't have the above setting set, but that's easily remedied with that simple setting. Menus aren't hard to navigate in, there's really nothing, it's a great projector.

1 out of 5 eggsUnstable

Pros: Right out of the box the projector had great color quality

Cons: Failed after 3 hours of use

Other Thoughts: Projector is not worth the money if it is not reliable enough to put in a conference room.
