5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Not a terrible ISP modem. Able to go 5-10Mb over ISP limit DL and UL.

Cons: Lights are a bit distracting in the dark/night - too bright.

Other Thoughts: Fabio B. mentioned earlier this month about this not being compatible with the Airport Extreme. I don't really see how it couldn't be and I can attest to having mine setup along with my Airport Extreme immediately after powering up.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best modems I've ever owned, twice

Pros: Set it and forget it. Aside from VERY RARELY needing a power cycle (and I have yet to find a piece of networking equipment that doesn't), this has performed flawlessly.

Cons: I don't like how the connection light flashes instead of staying solid. If you use 100MBPS connection it's blue. 10MBPS it's red (which is what I use). A bit disconcerting to have a flashing red light on the modem. Makes me think something is wrong. But at the other location, it flashes blue, which still bothers me, but isn't as bad as red

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this device. It simply works and is a much cheaper alternative to paying the monthly rental fee to the cable company.

5 out of 5 eggsRock Solid - 1 year

Pros: This modem has been rock solid for 1 year now. Provides the full 50 mbps I am provisioned for with Comcast. Not a single issue during this time.

Cons: Leds are bright. Not really a problem for me in my utility room, but it might be if you used it in an occupied room at night.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Modem and Price

Pros: No overheat, easy to install. Got it at $87.99 on newegg.com.

Cons: only cons, the light is too bright during the night.

Other Thoughts: Motorola sb6141 only support 8 x 4 channels, but does not support twc maxx ultimate 300 plan, have to rent modem from twc.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Faster than the cable company modem and no rental fee

Cons: LEDs are bright

Other Thoughts: At first it frequently rebooted. (however, the cable company modem was worse) It turned out to be the ground connection where the cable enters the house. It took a couple of attempts to fix the ground. Modem up solid for 71 days. The log is now full of DHCP renew instead of critical failures. This modem should be a solid performer. If you are having problems check your cable grounding, connections, and routing. Avoid sharp bends in the cable. A good single point ground of the cable shield is essential for noise reduction.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Modem

Pros: Very good, if you rent a modem from Comcast the cost is $8.00 per month, this is one helpful thing to lower your bill.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsworks without issue

Pros: Moved back to Comcast when U-Verse wasnt available at new residence. Buying one of these just makes sense. $8 a month for modem rental, this pays for itself in LESS than a year, it just MAKES SENSE...

I have the 25 down/ 5 up package from Comcast, actually getting a tad over 30 down, and 7.5 up, no issues. Have had it running for about a month SOLID, not a single reboot needed, no freezes or slow downs or hangups.

Cons: None...

Other Thoughts: This will EVENTUALLY be sitting on a shelf in a network rack if I EVER get this new house wired.
