4 out of 5 eggsSolid, lasts forever, driver support

Pros: This series of Logitech flight sticks has been around for over a decade. I bought mine in Okinawa about 10 years ago from the writing of this article. It still works, and is still supported by Logitech driver support for windows and Linux. In fact, after pulling it off the shelf and cleaning the dust off and repressing the buttons, the controller works flawlessly in Windows 10 and in Debian (Ubuntu).

The flight stick is great. It isn't too sticky, and not too loose. It is just right, and has kept the same pressure sensitivity for as long as I have owned it.

Take good care of this unit and it will take care of you...in flight games of course :)

Cons: Not enough buttons. You can never have enough buttons.

The 6 buttons on the base of the controller, while rugged and last forever, have the tendency to get sticky, requiring cleaning to promote sensitivity and longevity.

The throttle is super sensitive because it doesn't have a very large axis. Just tiny movements on the throttle can adjust your plane throttle by a great deal. You won't really be able to gauge your throttle speed by looking at the flight controller itself, you have to take the time and check it in game. Adjusting the throttle to a precise level can be a pain, because it requires super tiny movements on the physical throttle to get it right. This isn't a game breaker, but it certainly is a con.

Other Thoughts: $30 is a steal for this controller.

I am shocked to find that this model is still being sold, and is still supported by Logitech.

Not the best out there, but certainly cheap, and a solid beginner controller for aspiring flight simmers.

Will last a long time and you won't be afraid to let your friend borrow it, unless they don't return it because it is a good controller...

5 out of 5 eggsBest All-In-One Stick I've Owned

Pros: -Durable
-Easy to use
-Comfortable

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: Owned my first one for about five or six years and only later in it's lifespan did a few of the ancillary buttons start to go, though the stick itself functioned flawlessly. Just bought another one as I moved away and needed an inbetween while I save up for the A10 HOTAS. Best budget stick that I know of.

5 out of 5 eggsAll you really need.

Pros: If you are one who like to use a lot of the capabilities of MS Flight Simulator X without having to go extreme then this is Joy stick enough. It has a wide weighted base that is sufficient for continuous stability and control. It works wonderfully well in my air combat flight simulators also. It makes using most flight simulator a delightful experience.

Cons: Do not let the cord dangle to the floor or you might roll over it with your chair and damage the functionality. It happened to me so I just bought another one to replace it. It is a bargain bang for the buck.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro to anyone as an excellent entry level joy stick.

5 out of 5 eggsNew, Perfect and Great

Pros: Plug and play on my favorite flyers.

Cons: They wear out in a couple of years if you play daily.

Other Thoughts: I would be glad to buy a beefier version of the same controller.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat entry level flight stick

Pros: -Easy setup
-Great program for making profiles
-Pretty solidly built.

Cons: -The stick does have a bit of play/movement but it is a entry level stick. You'll have have to fiddle with deadzones (took me like 2 mins at most to set them up in Elite Dangerous)
-The side buttons are a little useless unless you don't use a keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I bought this stick to play Elite Dangerous as I don't have the ridiculous amount of money for a hotas setup and for the price I was floored at how well this thing is. Like I mentioned it does have a bit of play but it is an entry level stick. I've been pretty rough with it and it's still solid, even the play hasn't gotten worse. Definitely worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: - Wide and heavy enough base
- Throttle
- Customizable buttons
- Twist left/right for rudder

Cons: - The thumb button can easily be accidentally hit

I haven't noticed anything else at this time.

Other Thoughts: I haven't owned it for too long at this point (1.26.2016) but it has fared well since I do not play too many flight games or play casually. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't looking to spend much and isn't looking for separate throttle or rudder controls (you can twist the stick to the left and right for rudder).

4 out of 5 eggsGood Stick Forever

Pros: I bought this joystick years ago. It is a good stick. Due to stuff beyond my control,I no longer have access to it so I bought a new one.
For the cost and feature set it's hard to beat.

Cons: It no longer seems to have the profiler software that I first used with it. IT NEEDS TO BE ATTACHED TO THE LOGITECH GAMING SOFTWARE that Logitech seems to require. It doesn't seem to work with Elite:Dangerous.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what is going on, but I see NEWEGG's website the joystick being sold for upwards of $100+. That can't be right. I paid about $35. What's up with that?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Star Citizen

Pros: -Great feel
-Everything is customizable with the software (downloaded from Logitech)
-Works great with Star Citizen (was automatically recognized and buttons assigned)
-Good price
-Quality is good, feels more durable then I expected based on some of the other reviews
-The trigger is real sensitive, could be a con to some, but I like it

Cons: -Wish that the button on the thumb was a HAT for more key customization (which would allow me to completely forget about my keyboard and just use this with both hands as intended due to the throttle and buttons)

Other Thoughts: -If you aren't slamming it around and picking it up by the actual stick (pick it up by the base, duh) then it should last far longer then most people claim.
-Most the time I can forget about my keyboard except in some circumstances.

5 out of 5 eggsjoystick

Pros: This was a replacement for the older version that died of old age and heavy use. I like the throttle lever on this version better than the old. Hat switch is great in MS Flight Sim. Lots of programmable buttons.

Cons: Haven't found any?

Other Thoughts: Good price for a solid joystick. It's big and the base is heavy, so it doesn't slide around on a desktop. Hat switch is a 'must have' for Flight Sim. The 'twist' rudder works well for ground steering or for flying realistic.
