Many people prefer a mouse to a touchpad but often leave the mouse behind when moving from room to room. Logitech is about to change all that with the introduction of the Logitech V550 Nano cordless laser mouse for notebooks, featuring the Clip-and-Go dock. The unobtrusive dock lets you conveniently clip the V550 mouse to your laptop – and go.

Always ready for use, the V550 Nano also features the Plug-and-Forget Nano-receiver – it’s so small that once it’s plugged into your computer, you can forget about it. The Nano-receiver stays nearly flush against the side of the computer (protruding just 8 mm), so it doesn’t have to be unplugged when you stow your laptop. With increased mobility comes increased concern about battery life. You don’t want to be caught out and about with a mouse that’s run out of power. The new V550 mouse offers up to 18 months of battery life and is the only Logitech cordless laser mouse currently offering this extended level of use. Plus, the V550 Nano saves additional power by automatically turning off when it’s docked or when the Nano-receiver is stored inside the mouse.

Because you often use your notebook in busy wireless environments, Logitech’s advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology provides a powerful, reliable signal that effectively eliminates delays and dropouts. With its exceptionally robust signal, which exchanges data between the receiver and the mouse 300 times faster than conventional 27 MHz wireless technologies for cordless mice, Logitech’s advanced 2.4GHz wireless technology dramatically reduces interference.

  • newegg Clip and Go Dock With the easy-to-attach, easy-to-remove Clip-and-Go dock, the Logitech V550 Nano can be clipped to your notebook, delivering more freedom when you move around at home or at work.
  • newegg Small Nano-Receiver The Plug-and-Forget Nano-receiver is so small and unobtrusive that you can plug it into your notebook's USB port and forget about it.
  • newegg 2.4GHz Wireless Technology The Logitech V550 Nano is armed with advanced 2.4GHz wireless technology to deliver reliable wireless connection with no delays or dropouts even in the busiest wireless environments.
  • newegg High-performance Laser Engine Featuring an advanced laser engine, the Logitech V550 Nano provides extreme accuracy and flawless tracking on nearly any surface.
  • newegg Flexible Scroll Wheel The scroll wheel operates in either of the two modes: Hyper-fast Mode for hyper-fast, nearly frictionless scrolling, or Click-to-click Mode for detailed navigation using an ultra-precise ratchet-scrolling mechanism. The scroll wheel also provides side-to-side scrolling for easy navigation on wide documents. Plus, the button directly below the scroll wheel allows you to switch between applications.
  • newegg Extended Battery Life The Logitech V550 Nano offers 18 months of battery life, eliminating the hassle of changing batteries. Plus, the mouse saves additional power by automatically turning off when it’s docked or when the Nano-receiver is stored inside the mouse.

5 out of 5 eggsvery happy

Pros: sturdy build, very long battery life, free-scroll for long documents and websites, no unsightly and useless frills.

Cons: theres significant lag when waking the mouse up when it isn't moved for a few seconds. i can imagine that this isn't a mouse for gamers. it sometimes gets a little annoying even for me when i'm just browsing the net.

Other Thoughts: wish there was a way to prevent the mouse from going into its laggy standby mode so quickly. i tried but couldn't find a way. wouldn't mind less battery life for this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: Great wireless mouse for the money. It's small, but has a very solid feel to it. I've dropped it a few times and it still holds well. I've had it for 7 months and have not had to replace the battery. The hyperscroll wheel is excellent and so is the third button. Great accuracy and the dock is pretty cool even though I don't use it. They even give you a great wrench to safely remove the dock.

Cons: Not a Con, but if you're into a contoured mouse you probably won't like this. It's a good ambidextrous design though.

Other Thoughts: It's a $60 mouse that I got on sale for like $20 on black friday, and it's a steal. It's worth its full price though.

5 out of 5 eggsI finally get to review this...

Pros: -Excellent shape
-Interesting scroll wheel
-SMALL reciever
-EXCELLENT battery life

Cons: -It might be a bit hard to get used to, but once you get the hang of using the button below the scroll wheel as the middle click, it's not so bad.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse technically when it first came out. I was a little skeptical but so far, it's the best mouse I've ever owned. The battery life is insane and is much better than the Microsoft ones (The ones that cost around 20 bucks). The shape is interesting, but it does fit for either hand, so no worries here.

Since I use my mouse quite a bit (around 4-7 hours sometimes a day), I know it won't last 18 months like it says on the box. As of now, it lasts around 7 months of "Heavy" use. This is much better than I expected and it feels like I don't have to worry about batteries (almost feels like a wired mouse with having no worries about batteries).

I don't quite remember the date of my purchase, but I know it was in the fall of 2008 and it's still going good. It has a few scratches and stuff here and there, but I will use this mouse until it dies on me for good.

You have done well Logitech. I would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone (my bro got one too!).

1 out of 5 eggsDecent Mouse but Logitech Not So Decent

Pros: 1) Very responsive to clicks and movement
2) USB doesn't stick out much
3) Battery lifes is good so far over a month now

Cons: 1) Scroll Wheel works ok except it has an annoying way of adding an extra scroll sometimes if the mouse is moved causing a missed click of a link or location.

2) LOGITECT claims my UPC code was missing from my rebate information.

Other Thoughts: I do not play around with screwing up rebates everyone and I know all of the things they required were in the envelope sealed with tape so nothing would fall out! btw My wife couldn't believe they are claiming the UPC was not in it because she watched and double checked everything for me.

Logitech lost a long time customer over a $xx rebate! It's just principle!

5 out of 5 eggsBest mouse I've owned

Pros: 1) Excellent tracking on most surfaces.
2) Unnoticeable lag unlike most wireless mice.
3) Hyperscroll wheel is really fun to use.

Cons: Only a few minor things that don't really matter:
1) Doesn't track on glass.
2) When you pick up the mouse the hyperscroll wheel moves about which is annoying when you lose your spot in a document.

Other Thoughts: The notebook sticky mouse dock is kind of useless, but that's just my opinion.

Pros: -Perfect size (not too small, not too big)
-Battery lasts forever
-Nano receiver
-Responds really well

Cons: I wished this mouse had the back and forward buttons, but I was able to configure them to the scroll wheel using logitech's software.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: Nano receiver, 2 mode scroll wheel, quality design

Cons: not as ergonomic as I thought

Other Thoughts: scrool wheel have two modes, one is it spins freely, great for viewing long PDFs. if you click it, then you'll feel the clicks as you scroll, more accurate but require you scroll more.

5 out of 5 eggsLike it very much

Pros: Inobtrusive USB adapter. Don't have to worry about breaking this thing off. What a great idea. Mouse is very accurate. The device is plug and play. You can make some speed adjustments in the mouse set up window. I leave the mouse turned on 24/7 and with rechargeable batteries, the mouse will operate for seveal months before the batteries need replacing.

I am standing 12 feet away from the laptop with the mouse it still picks up the signal without a hiccup.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have several of the Logitech 440 nano mice and I love them. The batteries in these models last for at least 3 months before needing replacing. Use rechargeables, you can't go wrong

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best excellent mice I've ever used

Pros: 1) I have a cheap plastic desk. The surface of the desk gets a little bit deformed by the weight of my dual display monitors. A lot of mice does not work well on my desk because its surface is not flat and the surface is white plastic. I tried a lot of wireless mouse on my desk. Few of them work well. Only G7, V450 and this one works well. Microsoft's mice are junk.
2) More comfortable than V450. Please look at the pictures for the difference.
3) I like it better than G7. The pity of G7 is that it does not use general AA or AAA size batteries. This one uses 2 AA.

Cons: It's a notebook mouse. I wish it has exactly the same size of G7.

Other Thoughts: I am a very picky wireless mouse user. I've tried a lot of mice.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Nice Portable Mouse

Pros: Very portable, good size and nano receiver, love the dock with my laptop and netbook.
Weighted nicely.
Got it at a very good price.
Presumably long battery life.

Cons: I've had the wireless signal dropout on me.
Only three buttons is a big turnoff for me, the third button is in a relatively awkward place too.
Feels really cheap (mine already had a scratch when it was inside the box...), feels like the plastic will break at anytime.
I've never been a fan of the 'sleek all-in-one piece, apple-esque mouse design, it's prone to sticking or breaking, we'll see what happens with this mouse.

Other Thoughts: There were a lot of bells and whistles on the packaging and extras...
I liked the extra docks, but the metal case thing was a bit excessive.

Pros: I really like how the mouse wheel will spin on its own if you "unlatch" it, making viewing larger documents/websites less tedious. Great overall mouse.

Cons: I'm used to pressing the mouse wheel to open new tabs and such, but it isn't worth deducting points over.

4 out of 5 eggsNo real middle-click

Pros: Good size, feels smooth and has a tiny receiver

Cons: Does not really have a middle click! There is an additional button just below the scroll wheel that is used for 'Expose' in mac but can be used as a middle-click button... Mac did not recognize the side scroll buttons until I installed the drivers software

Other Thoughts: I bought it mainly to use it with Mac OS X and Linux. Without a proper middle-click scroll wheel button, it is of no real use to me. That said, it is a very good mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap build, lots of extras

Pros: It works as advertised and comes with lots of extras. It has a little battery case for extra batteries and 3 clip-ons for easy storage. It also comes with a usb extension cord which one side is a nifty dock. USB transmitter is also very small.

Cons: Bigger than I expected. Nano receiver is small but the actual mouse isnt quite "nano." The extras are all pretty useless too. I would never use one of the storage hooks and for some reason they included 3. Also, a battery case?? Who uses that? Also seems to be somewhat cheaply built.

Other Thoughts: Logitech is a good company but maybe they should have diverted some of the money from manufacturing these "extras" into manufacturing a sturdier mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected, but still could be better

Pros: **Perfect weight -- lighter and it wouldn't have the right "feel" to it (1 or 2 notebook mice I've tried are too light which results in what I can best describe as too little tactile sensation as you're moving the cursor around), and if it were heavier it might get left behind for adding too much weight to all the gear I already carry.
**Docking thing was unexpectedly cool. No free mouse banging around in the laptop bag, and when it's docked, you don't have to remember to turn it off.
**Rock-solid excellent precision, on every surface I've tried so far. Previous cordless mice I've tried have have either a tendency to 'jump' or lose tracking precision with just enough regularity to go for the corded mouse when available. I have used this on the very uneven surface of my comforter, with perfect precision. No reason to go back to a corded mouse.
**Plug it in and forget about it wireless dongle didn't even needed a driver disk - WinXP installed automatically.

Cons: The reason I took off an egg: the shape, and the lack of contours. The VX version of this mouse looks like it would be more comfortable to use. I have used contour-shaped mice before, and have found them a bit better than little rectangular box type shape that this one is. It also could use some rubber gripping area on the sides and on the top, like the VX mouse looks like it has.

Other Thoughts: Being as I got this on sale and it ended up being about 30 dollars cheaper than the VX, it was a steal. The VX's shape does look like it would be nicer, but the shape of this mouse hasn't turned out to be as much a disadvantage as I might have thought it would be. Overall it is a very good mouse to use, much better than expected. And you have to use the dock to appreciate it, something I'd look for again if shopping for another portable mouse. The thing most lacking I think is the rubber grip, and if you keyword e b a y with the terms rubber peel, you end up with a sheet of adhesive backed thin rubber gripping material that you can cut to your liking, for about 4$ shipped. If it mods with this stuff like I think it will, then I believe this mouse will be about as perfect as can be. While I really like the built-in trackpoint on my thinkpad, having this mouse just made it a lot easier for someone who uses his notebook about 35 hours a week on the road.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: -The hyperspeed scrolling gimmick is actually really useful for getting to the bottom of really long pages with just a flick of the finger
-Battery life, extended with the easy-to-use power button on the bottom (when powering back on, the mouse is responsive immediately, rather than waiting a few seconds to sync up)
-Responsive
-Tiny receiver (also included is a USB extender dock, so you can plug the receiver into the dock and move it closer to the mouse if needed

Cons: -Pressing the wheel switches between smooth scrolling and feedback scrolling, instead of acting as a middle button
-Not shaped for a hand, like my previous Logitech notebook mouse was

Other Thoughts: With the lack of a traditional middle click, the extra, tiny button below the scroll wheel can be bound to a variety of functions with the Logitech software. I have mine bound to middle click, of course. It just takes some getting used to.

5 out of 5 eggsFreakin Awesome mouse!

Pros: This mouse is awesome! Great tracking. It will work on any surface. Its small, but not too small. The hyper scrolling feature really comes in hand for those long windows.

Cons: 2 buttons. Thats it. Not built for gaming but I play crysis with it just fine.

Other Thoughts: Very convienient and easy to use mouse. I bought (stole) it when it was on sale for 20 bucks. I should have bought several!!!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse

Pros: Small receiver, Good for laptop, Included "Hook" feature is nice.
When you insert receiver into the mouse the mouse turns off.
When you attach the mouse to "hook" sticked to your laptop then the mouse turns off as well.

Cons: No forward or back buttons.
To remove battery and receiver you have to remove the whole of the bottom part(base) and it's kind of weak(cheap) plastic.
Would have been better if there was just one opening to insert the batteries and the receiver.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend to all laptop users.

Pros: Excellent Mouse, very fast operation and the scroll wheel is brilliant. It comes with an external docking station which can be used with desktop. The idea of clipping the mouse on the laptop is very good and is great way to carry the mouse. Once again a very good service from Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks on a number of surfaces

Pros: Works on surfaces that my microsoft 4000 doesn't work on. Has 2 sticky pads (1" x 1") to attached the mouse when not in use to your notebook as well as another off button if you decide not to use the pads.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The height of the most is a little low making the arch of the palm not as ergonomic as microsoft mouses. Overall, great value for the price I paid ($10 AR).

5 out of 5 eggsTerrific

Pros: Never have to unplug nano receiver from laptop. Precise pointer control. "Goldliocks" left/right button detents (not too hard, not too soft). Two AA batteries give this mouse some nice heft. I like this mouse slightly more than the three other Microsoft mice that I use.

Cons: List price is pretty stiff; I got both of mine on sale.

Other Thoughts: When using VNC to remotely operate UNIX/Linux computers, the middle button (adjacent to the scroll wheel) works fine for pasting text. It's pretty easy to get used to its location.

4 out of 5 eggsMiddle button sucks

Pros: tiny receiver is great
great precision, smooth operation, right weight
finally a hand-openable clamshell

Cons: middle button
middle button
middle button
too much junk in packaging

Other Thoughts: Clicking the middle button (the scroll wheel) does not send anything to the computer. There is an another assignable middle button in an entirely impossible position - convenient only if you have chopped off half of your middle finger. I guess I will get used to it a little more, but as someone who works with several mice a day it will be a constant hassle.

The application selector action which comes with Logitech's Windows driver is cool, but what good is it if you have to give it up for middle-button functionality.

4 out of 5 eggsTradeoffs

Pros: Small but as heavy as my G5 w/o weights.
It looks tall in the picture but it's pretty slender in real life.
Tiny receiver, battery life reads 544 days
Button for expose or whatever, comes in handy.
Available software (download only) changes OS X mouse acceleration back to Windows, almost.

Cons: The middle button click now only switches between regular scroll and "hyper fast" scroll at the expense of a middle click. Would have been a deal breaker had I known ahead of time. Luckily it's not that much harder to ctrl + click to open as new tab or close tabs the old fashion way by clicking on the x.
Feels pretty small compared to a G5

Other Thoughts: Bought it because coding with a touch pad gives me tender fingertips after an hour or so. This mouse isn't much better for anything that requires precision (heavy text editing, gaming). Lack of curvature for right hands and its small size makes it useful only for casual stuff, which the touch pad is already great for. Should have gotten another G5 and lived with the cord.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good Mouse

Pros: Picked up in Windows 7 instantly. The device has decent range and good accuracy. It also has a very good size and weight. Nice that the tiny receiver can be stored inside the mouse. power button is a good feature and saves battery

Cons: I had to download Logitech software to install on Vista. Probably a Vista problem more than a Logitech one but though it was worth mentioning.

Other Thoughts: Stick on mouse hanger is actually a good idea. I thought I would throw them away but gave it a try and actually use the thing. It also turns off the mouse while on the hanger which is nice and saves battery.
The mouse is nothing revolutionary but is a good solid mouse that works well.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Mouse, High Quality
Coming Soon!

Pros: 1)Quality craftsmanship
2)$20 after mail-in-rebate
3)Over 12 ft range
4)Hyper-scroll is fantastic
5)Very good packaging
6)Receiver dock built into mouse
8)So far it has been very precise
7)Comes with a lot of accessories

Cons: 1)Click-by-click scrolling seems to not function as well as other mice
2)Push-wheel function normally found in scroll mice located on button just behind the scroll wheel which is not convenient. Should have been placed on side of mouse instead
3)Receiver docking is inside bottom cover where the two AA batteries are located instead of being located on the outside of the mouse. I am afraid that after docking the receiver over and over, the latch on the bottom cover could wear out.
4)Would be better if it had a battery level indicator on mouse

Other Thoughts: 1)The mouse is pretty heavy.
2)The mouse would fit my hand a lot better if the back of it was built up higher.
3)Forward/Back button should be included for the usual selling price of this mouse.
4)An optional plug-in for plugging in the mouse if the batteries go dead would have been nice but if it really has 18 months of battery power then I guess it wouldn't need that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: Exactly what I needed. A very smooth, responsive mouse with a receiver I can just plug in an forget about. Very good fit for my hand. A great mouse in general.

Cons: For some reason, the mouse was a bit dirty in one place. I tried using everything to clean it off, but it seems to be permanent. I don't think it was the plastic packaging... woulda been nice to have a clean mouse.

Other Thoughts: Shipping took a week from NJ to MB. Don't know if that's longer than usual, but felt unusually long for me. Still, I have my mouse and I love it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop Mouse

Pros: Small but still very useable. Small receiver (which is always great) and love the docking option....will keep me from breaking this one cause I drop it a million times on my way to meetings

Cons: Haven't found one yet

Other Thoughts: I have only had it a day but so far I love it....seems to be a great mouse - which is not something I say very often.

5 out of 5 eggsLogitech V550

Pros: 1) Package includes mouse, nano receiver, USB dock with extention cable, and 2 AA batteries.

2) Mouse has an on - off switch on the bottom to allow you to turn off the mouse to save the batteries.

3) Nano receiver stores in the mouse when not plugged into the computer.

4) Curser movement was very precise and fluid.

5) Very nicely packaged.

6) I just received this mouse today and it already the best mouse I have ever used.

7) I bought it from Newegg

Cons: NONE at all.

Other Thoughts: This was my first purchase from Newegg. Based on my experience, it will not be my last. I plan to buy lots more stuff from the egg.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Wireless Notebook Mouse

Pros: Compact, Good connectivity, micro receiver (sweet!), works on just about any surface, mouse automatically turns off when docked. Separate on/off switch can sometimes be handy.

Cons: Usually pretty pricey (unless you wait for a rebate)

Other Thoughts: The docking knob is a neat concept for laptops although I don't like sticking it to the top surface of my netbook. Therefore, I stick it to a flat spot on the underside of my pc. Works very well but I then have to place the laptop upside down or on its side when the mouse is docked

3 out of 5 eggsnano receiver

Pros: Nano receiver so small!!!
Good quality mouse
Very solid feeling!

Cons: Doesn't have chance to use it yet.
The nano receiver is so small that disappear right after i open the package. I guess it jump off when i was opening.
I don't even have a chance to see the receiver. It just disappear.

Other Thoughts: I think they should put the receiver inside a small box.
hopefully i can find that tiny receiver within a few days.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for coffee shops/travel

Pros: I've had this about 6 months and use it a lot, mostly with a netbook in coffee shops or traveling, etc. The docking stickers are super useful, both for keeping the mouse/netbook together, and also because it automatically powers the mouse off. I am still on the first set of batteries. The mouse has some heft for its size, which I like, but is obviously small and is one you move with your fingers, not your wrist. Worked immediately with XP and Linux, never had problems. I'm accustomed to hyperscrolling from my MX mice, and am glad to have that feature here, and there's an extra button you can set as you like.

Cons: An improvement would be to have a pair of forward/backward switches, but this isn't really a con, just something that's not there.

Other Thoughts: If you want a small mouse with nice features, this will probably fit the bill.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Wireless Mouse

Pros: This mouse is very comfortable, has a sturdy, high quality feel to it, and functions flawlessly. It comes with a USB extender, for use on longer range applications. I use it both on my eee pc and my desktop. The scroll wheel is so much better than other mice that I get frustrated when I try to use anything else. The nano receiver is also a great perk for any laptop user. Highly responsive, sharp precise gaming quality movement.

Cons: Price I suppose, but worth every penny, once you use it you won't regret it.

Other Thoughts: I have a Logitech RX720 that doesn't perform nearly as well as this, spend the extra $ and get this or the VX nano, which is also very very comfortable and responsive. Regardless of what you get though, Logitech is the brand to go with, they're the leader for a reason.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mouse I've Owned

Pros: I haven't had this mouse for long and its already the best mouse ever. It's small, portable, and fast. Plus it has a tiny receiver and can work on almost any surface, even rough carpet. There is no installing drivers, its just plug-and-play. The hyper scroll is great for looking at long pages instead of moving the bar down.

Cons: The little thing that sticks to your laptop that allows your mouse to attach doesn't stick well. It was a great concept, they just needed more glue. Maybe I just didn't let it dry enough...

Other Thoughts: Overall, my favorite mouse of all time. I would recommend this mouse to everyone with a laptop.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This mouse is excellent. I got it for my wife at work and now everyone wants one! It you have to move you PC around a lot during the day this thing work great.

Cons: The second one of these I bought stopped working after day 1. RMA'd it, and the replacement is now fine.

Other Thoughts: This is a great mouse for the "average" user. Not a gaming mouse, but excelent for the buinesses user that needs to move your notbook around during the day (but not pack it up in a bag).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse!

Pros: This is the best notebook mouse I've ever owned. The USB receiver is tiny; I simply leave it plugged in. The laser mouse works on almost any surface, including the arm of a leather chair. The scroll wheel is marvelous and has two modes: 1) a "free spinning" mode that can scroll through lengthy pages with ease, and 2) a "clickable" mode. You toggle between the modes by pushing on the scroll wheel.

Cons: It's on the small side for a desktop mouse, but this isn't really a "con" for a notebook mouse. Fifty clams is a bit pricey.

Other Thoughts: I paid thirty clams after rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsLogitech V550 Nano

Pros: An okay wireless mouse. The application switcher button is nice. I changed it so that it runs my own application switcher (not the Logitech one, which I might add, is garbage). Feels mostly sturdy, also has good range. Batteries apparently will last for 547 days. We’ll see about that. I like that you can store the receiver right inside the mouse (I would lose that in about 10 minutes if I didn’t store it inside the mouse when I’m not using it).

Cons: It is a little bit too small, but then again it is a notebook wireless mouse. I don't think I would use it for more than an hour or so. Hyper scrolling can be annoying. I’m used to the scroll wheels that click while turning, not spinning freely. I haven’t seen any real benefit with this feature, just scrolls a little faster than the older kind. A little overpriced. Battery compartment plastic piece could lock on a little bit tighter.

Other Thoughts: Overall, okay. Hopefully it will last for a while. I’ve always been pleased with Logitech products.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: Good size for a notebook mouse.
Nano Receiver: doesnt get in the way of anything
for some reason, the laptop designer for my sony vaio put all the usb ports on the right side of the laptop, so if you plug in any usb peripherals, it might get in the way of using a right handed mouse- stupid! thats why i like the small nano size! yay
2AA batteries plus the auto off feature makes this last long
Matches my laptop color =)
hyperscroll works great when working*(see con)

Cons: the first one i bought worked, but when hyperscroll was active, the scroll wheel would move slightly the opposite direction after it stopped rolling upward or downward. this was a pain when browsing the internet because i would scroll down a little, then all of a sudden when i let go of the wheel it would spin back a little and cause the browser to move up again.
i think the wheel on this particular mouse wasnt centered exactly causing a shift in the center of gravity so when i let go of the wheel, it would try to spin to make the heaviest part of the wheel be at the bottom
so then i exchanged it for a new mouse and it works great now
another issue is that when you click the wheel, this activates/deactivates the hyperscroll feature. i was so used to it being the middle button so i kept deactivating hyperscroll. now ive gotten used to pressing the 3rd button below the wheel. all is good

Other Thoughts: i was contemplating the logitech vx nano also, but i figured i wouldnt use the forward and back buttons (which arent even placed at a good location) so i bought this instead (it was also lower priced), i love it now! best mouse ive ever used
when it comes to keyboards and mice, you cant go wrong with logitech

5 out of 5 eggsbeautifull mouse!

Pros: very productive, with the software from logitech's website.
feels great and the small receiver is awesome. extremely long battery life. the included dock thing turns it of when clipped on so it saves battery

Cons: price on newegg is more oddly enough, bought it at best buy for 30 bucks

Other Thoughts: great mouse

5 out of 5 eggsNice mouse!

Pros: Good looking mouse! No wire! Small USB receiver station is pretty cool. For me, the little mouse dock works great for moving around the house, or work. For transporting in laptop bag, just stow the receiver inside the mouse and it will shut off mouse.

IR, not RF. (faster)
Laser, not LED. (more accurate)

Cons: Can become uncomfortable after extended periods.
I guess the IR receiver can be blocked by anything between it, and the mouse, although I've had no problems, even had the receiver on the opposite side of laptop at first, but decided that USB was best used for my cooler.

Other Thoughts: I bought this mouse to replace the factory mouse that came with my new laptop. It had a wire, and I wanted something nice to complement the laptop. This is perfect. I love it!
