5 out of 5 eggsBest $100 earphones out there

Pros: While a step below true studio quality earphones, these 280 PRO's are great for everything from watching movies to gaming. I've had mine for over 1.5 years now and they are still in great shape. I have done a decent amount of travel with these and use them on a near daily basis.

Cons: Nothing!

Other Thoughts: I had the top head padding come off when packed in my travel bag, but I was able to pop it right back on.

Get these and you wont regret $100 spent, guaranteed.

5 out of 5 eggsMy favorite headphones

Pros: Very good isolation. Flat frequency response. I bought a pair of these headphones about 6 years ago and used them almost every day. After about 4 years the ear pads were very worn so i bought new ear pads. That was awesome for another 2 years. Then I broke the headband (my fault). Now I have bought a second pair.

Cons: Very tight on the head which I really like, but some ppl might not.

Other Thoughts: I had thought about getting the new sennheiser DJ HD6, but all the new features were not interesting to me, and the specs were basically the same.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: *Stayed really cool and quiet
*great card to start off with
*no issues at all with installation and there after
*it's small
*ok performance

Cons: I am a gamer, so this card was a little weak for my standards

Other Thoughts: I am a gamer. I got this card to just start out with my new build and play games that are easier to play. Well I have a kind of low resolution monitor and I could play Far Cry 3 at about high settings at about 50-60fps( which was very surprising, because I have a OKish APU). I could play BF3 at about medium at 60fps. A few months later I OC'd it to 1112MHz on clock speed and 891MHz on it's memory speed and got a few more frames in games.

5 out of 5 eggsGood headphones

Pros: I bought these used, I'd say fairly used. Never the less they sound very good, watching Netflix with onboard sound I can hear the spit in peoples mouth when they talk.

Cons: Might be too tight for some people but they are built to last, and high quality.

These are gateway headphones to a audiophile addiction which can be very expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing.

Pros: - Best headphones.
- Extraordinary quality and longevity.
- Got 'em cheap (thanks Newegg!)
- Fold in on themselves for easy storage.

Cons: - Nothing.

Other Thoughts: I bought the HD 280 Pro back in 2010. That was about four years ago.

I bought them after my other (similar looking, but from a different company) headphones started to lose their plastic covering. Whatever those other headphones were, they starting falling apart in very little time.

This Sennheiser, however, has remained in what appears to be perfect condition for four years now. The thin plastic that's covering the ear cushions has miraculously stayed completely intact all these years.

They sound great. While not noise cancelling, they do a great job at blocking out external noise.

But most importantly, they're made of quality materials that remind me of the good old days when things didn't break.

The fact that I took time out of my day, four years later, to write this review, should be its own testament to their quality.

5 out of 5 eggsHD280 w/ Galaxy S3

Pros: Very Comfortable - Good for extended use
Closed backs (For working environments)

Cons: Only decent sound quality on S3 (un-amped) *See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: So I bought these for work to pair with my Galaxy S3 for music. To be honest, the 64 ohm nominal impedence of these headphones is a bit much for the default output of the S3. If you want to pair these with a mobile device, I highly recommend an AMP. I've since paired mine with a FIIO e18. It really clears up the sound, and vastly improves the low-end frequency response.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Headphones

Pros: I honestly cannot recommend these headphones enough. There is nothing anywhere near them for the price in terms of build quality, wearability, and durability. Sound is excellent, I haven't tested many cans since buying these but sound is amazingly good and almost as good as anything I've ever heard (at much higher price points).

Cons: The first pair I received did have a dead ear cup but 6 years on with the replacement pair that Sennheiser sent I've had not a single disappointment despite daily use and tortuous conditions.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing quality for the price

Pros: I didn't purchases these from newegg however I've had them for years and felt obligated to leave a review after pulling them from the abyss of my messy truck where they've been for the last 2 years. To my surprise there was absolutely no damange and the quality is as good as the day I received them. They have a very clear sound and beat any headset (you can actually have a mic added to these if you so desire) for the price you can't beat the quality of t hese

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsOne of my best purchases

Pros: These headphones have been with me since Feb 2006. The only thing to ever go wrong with them is the glue holding one of the ear pads finally coming off at this end of last year (dec 1013). I have moved 6 times since then and go to about 10-20 LAN parties a year (almost every weekend in 2006/7. I cannot find any damage to this set at all despite them being crammed into a backpack. They fit perfectly around my ear and seal out most ambient sound and chatter. I can hear audio pretty clearly when on a Q-400 Turboprop airplane.

Cons: With this set, you won't get that "I'm a victim of really good marketing and ignorantly overpaid for a mediocre product" appearance ever so desired by today's youth when boarding an airplane or bus.

Other Thoughts: It is kinda sad that it cost almost 1/3rd the price of the set for replacement ear pads.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Money

Pros: I purchased these in December as a gift for my mom. At the time I was only trying to prove a point, that there are high quality headsets that are much cheaper than say, "Beats by Dre". ( she tried buying them all month, and I kept delaying her by saying, "Christmas is near")

When she received them, the first thing she did was try them on. So the first thing we found out was, these work extremely well on noise cancellation... she was in her own little world until the song ended.
Since then she uses them when she cleans house. The coiled cord is always out of the way, never a hassle, and it secures tightly in her iPod. They effectively cancel out the droning of the vacuum cleaner and generally make her deaf to anything shes not looking at. The sound quality is better than anything else that I've heard in quite a while, even though the only thing I can compare them to myself is the AX-720s... these beat them out of the water.

She hasn't mentioned a single negative thing about them and she prefers these over her earbuds, especially since she can fold them up and pack them when she travels very easily.

Since shes completely satified, I'm completely satisfied. I'm contemplating getting a pair myself.

Cons: I can't find anything wrong with them yet. Except for that she looks funny when roaming the house with these things on.
