5 out of 5 eggsSennheiser Quality

Pros: -Solid bass
-Good mids
-Clear highs
-Rotatable earcup is useful for wearing public
-Durable
-Decent noise-isolation

Cons: -A bit tight for the first week, but you get used to it
-Earcups are bit small so after 1-2 hours your ear get a bit sore. If you have big ears I would not recommend these for you.

Other Thoughts: A great starter pair of headphones. Nothing to brag about, but for the cost they are very good.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Painful Sound

Pros: Good quality sound with the lows and highs (just as good as any other over the ear headphones)

Cons: -After using these headphones for about 1-2 hours my ears get really uncomfortable.
-This is due to the ear cups being too small for my ears

Other Thoughts: Talking with some people they seem to disagree about the cups being uncomfortable after a while, this may only be me, or people with big ears (but i don't think i have big ears)

5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant!

Pros: Having been musicly trained and working in live sound for 7 years I can, without hesitation say these headphones are amazing! They seal brilliantly and block out sound as good as most sound canceling headphones. I have been using them everyday for almost 5 years and outside of scuffs on the outside nothing has changed.

Cons: I have bigger ears so the tops of the earcups sometimes squish the very top of my ears. If you have this issue just give the cups a little wiggle and it will fix it.

I have noticed that the wires are starting to degrade at the plug, but for 5 years of constant use I'm fine with it!

Other Thoughts: for the price nothing is better!

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely wonderful!

Pros: -Good Bass response
-Good Highs and Mids
-Good "everything"?

Cons: There are none. Wish I got these before I made a remix I made, because after I made it, and I used these babies to see what it "truly" sounded like, whoa. I hate to admit, my remix sounded not so good as I thought. Hahaha...but it made me a better producer of my solo material so now I know more of what to do in terms if EQing.

Other Thoughts: I see the other negative reviews here and obviously someone didn't realize these headphones are meant for "Music Production". I consulted a lot of remixes and artists about these headphones and they all agreed for me to get them. Even my mentor who taught me music. I HIGHLY recommend these headphones, but of course never limit yourself to just "one". But still, these are amazing headphones for a amazing price and great monitors for your music. So stop doubting, and buy them! I did and I love them! No regrets.

4 out of 5 eggsDubious Reviews

Pros: Great sound for the price, good build quality, decent sound attenuation, swiveling ear cup allows for single ear monitoring. I found the earbads quite comfortable and only produced sweat over extended use. Lightweight.

Cons: Better options out these for this price range. Headband design doesn't allow many different sizes of heads to wear comfortably. It's also prone to slipping off due to lack of tension in the band over time, especially for larger heads. Top pad could be a little thicker.

Other Thoughts: I'm slightly puzzled by the negative comments about the lack of low end on these headphones. In the technical data, it clearly states a low end frequency of 14hz. This product was never meant for low end. It wasn't even advertised to have low end response. All of the comments comparing this to some cheap Sony or Panasonic garbage is just rubbish. Disliking something is fine, but it's just blatantly misleading to insinuate that a $10 earbud is better.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: price

Cons: uncomforable, weak sound performance

Other Thoughts: Make an alternate choice.....this is one case where the Sennheiser name DOES NOT insure high quality perofrmance.

1 out of 5 eggsBad for the price

Pros: Sound is acceptable, nothing amazing when compared to other $50-70 headphones, though.

Cons: Terrible cord.
They're too tight yet the sound leaks like no other headphones I've owned, the guy nex to you on the bus probably listens to your song louder than you do.
I was expecting better from Sennheiser as i hear nothing but praise to them (to their high-end stuff).

Other Thoughts: Mine stopped working after a mere month of use, the right side speaker just stopped working, I'm guessing it's the cord though at the time it died I was calmly sit, i just don't know how it happened.
Avoid these and either get something better from Sennheiser or another brand if you want something for the same price.
Now it's going to be a bother to send them back since over a month has passed since purchase.

1 out of 5 eggsTwo time Sennheiser looser

Pros: For them a respected name, for me none I can find.

Cons: First off I read the reviews here and on other sites before buying and I did have high expectations. What I ended up with is a second disappointment from Sennheiser. The first was a set of earbuds, but then as a clearence item I gave them a pass based on their reputation. Now I am sadly thinking the only way you might get something sounding decent is to buy their top of the line products. First off for corded products you always want good quality cords because thats what fails first under normal use. The cords on these have very little in the way of flex protectors at the ends. Almost guaranteeing the cord will break at the ends long before they get old. Secondly and more importantly the sound is....well muddy at best. I e-mailed Sennheiser and their response was I didn't have a proper seal to my ears. They told me to press them tighter on my ears?? As you may have read in other reviews these press very tight to your head, to the point (Continued in other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: I cant wear them for more then 10 minutes without a blazing headache. The free earbuds I got with my Sansa sound like what I would expect of these. I really wish I could say I loved these but I don't. I have tried several sound sources and at high volumes I get distortion. The highs are washed out and the lows are lacking any punch. The sources I have tried are a Sansa Clip+, the headphone jack on my speakers, the backplate connector on my motherboard (MSI 890FXA-GD70), and the front jack connected to the HD audio port. I have also tried different styles of music from heavy metal to Nat king Cole..Lossless and MP3. I have exhausted my patience with trying to like these and find a way to agree with the "experts" Now I will just resign myself to return them and try again....with another brand. If you buy these I wish you better luck than me.

1 out of 5 eggsWe expect better from Sennheiser

Pros: The name.

Cons: Pretty much everything else.

Other Thoughts: The sound quality was not at all what we expect from Sennheiser at any price point. The bass response is non-existent; treble response is dusty and tinny, and the cord seems very flimsy. We read all the reviews before ordering and understood that these were not meant to be top-of-the-line, but we have a crummy pair of $9.99 Sonys that are better than these. Very disappointing.
