3 out of 5 eggsOK for the price

Pros: -inexpensive on sale
-good overall sounds
-headband is comfortable
-fits my rather large head comfortably
-overall decent build quality for the price

Cons: -cable feels cheap. I anticipate replacing this soon.

Other Thoughts: This product appears to not be available on newegg anymore, I'm adding this just as a reference to anyone else shopping for this item.

these are all stylistic comments, not necesarily a strong pro or con, but more opinionated.

1. the cups are just way to small for me and I have small ears. they barely surround my ears.
2. the cable is just awful in my opinion. it's too short for me and unbelievably thin. I will likely replace this before it breaks. Is it that hard to throw in an extension or use sturdy wires?
3. they sounds hollow to me. low Bass is good and punchy but I think there's a lack of mid which makes the sound feel hollow.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headphones

Pros: Great sounds, fits good around my ears, snug around my head, I can wear them for hours without getting a headache

Cons: Cord could be a little longer, cloth pads get a bit hot around my ears and cause me to sweat.

5 out of 5 eggsNothing fancy, solid performance.

Pros: These headphones aren't anything hi-tech. I am not partial to noise-cancelling, bass boosters, bluetooth, on-ear mute feature or of any that mumbo jumbo. These headphones plug in and play really great music. Simple as that.

The over-the-ear muffs are very comfortable. I can where them for hours. I can listen to A Winged Victory for the Sullen and really get the full effect of the low bassy cello strings. I can listen to Jessy Lanza and hear her high screamy vocals without any overhead or screech.

I cannot speak to the longevity of the phones. For $40 and buying from a German company, I bet these phones will last a very long time. The last over-the-ear headphones I owned were a $30 pair of Aiwas. They lasted me a long time and ended up crapping out because the mute button get all stuck and loose.

I keep the headphones in the plastic skeleton to preserve them. You should too.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bottom line: get these headphones if you aren't a uptight sound biologist.

4 out of 5 eggsI'm happy with it!

Pros: Good sound quality and clarity.
Great to wear for long periods of time.
Sound Isolation is good (More in the Discussion)

Cons: Thin and short wiring.
Bass may rattle (More in the Discussion)

Other Thoughts: I've been wanting a Sennheiser for a long time after knowing how reputable their headphones are and I finally found my chance with these. It was affordable for me so much so that I got one for me AND my brother who sorely needed it. The poor guy has been using old clip-on headphones that came free with his Nintendo DS... which was over 7 years ago!

The HD419s would have to be the best bang for your buck if you want to listen to your music or play video games within a remedial setting or studio. I enjoy putting these on over listening through Logitech 2.1 Speakers. I know that's not saying much for you audiophiles out there but, what can I say? I'm on a budget.

On the topic of Sound Isolation:
I've dedicated these headphones for my little closet studio only and so it blocks most noise that pervades the house, like calls to dinner or yells to take out the trash.
DISCLAIMER: I would not take these cans outside.

On the Topic of Short and Thin Wiring:
Yeah, like everyone else is saying, the wire is thin, short and feels cheap. I'm nervous about moving my head around for in the event I yank it the wrong way.
As with the previous disclaimer: Do not take these outside.

On the Topic of Bass Rattle:
I did a quick audio-check after a month of use and the only problem I seem to have is that, at full volume, the bass rattles. I read somewhere that a good rule of thumb is to stay about 70% of maximum volume, which, at that region, the rattling is near to non-existent. So, keep the dB down and its good.

I do find this pair of headphones wanting on the volume side. I really good song kicks on, I max the volume and "I still don't feel the music." Maybe that's what an amp is for, I don't know, but this is nothing to prevent anyone else from buying pair. I'd highly recommend it for someone on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: As previously stated, plus one more... Works great as earmuff replacements too. (keeps them warm when it's cool out, but not hot when it's warm out)

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: 7 months (almost) and no damage to the cord... No obvious physical issues, no change in audio performance.

If you need quality on the cheap, this is the product to get.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent budget headphone

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Sound is on par with cost.

Other Thoughts: This is a really comfortable headset for long periods of use. I can game for a few hours and not even notice them. Not as good as my $200 set. But nice for a second machine.

3 out of 5 eggsLove Hate Relationship

Pros: Excellent sound for the price. loves it with my MP3 player and PC.

Cons: I have never seen a cheaper or just poorly crafted cords ever. Heck My old Koss cords from the 70's still are intact but sennsi's one little tug and goodbye I will never recommend them again that's for sure

Other Thoughts: I was a senns head for years until I had two pair die the same way, I've made my last recommendations

5 out of 5 eggsJust got them...

Pros: Extremely high quality audio for the price.
Full range of audio, fairly flat. (that just means you don't need much tweaking to an equalizer to get the best audio output)
Soft fabric covered earpads. (not that fake leatherette stuff that cracks and leaves chunks behind after 6 months)
Completely encases the ear unless you have very large ears.
Works well at all volume settings on PC phone or mp3 player.
About 9-12dB of noise isolation. (not tested, but that's what it sounds like)

Cons: Cord is short and really narrow... May need replacement sooner than anything else. (I'll be looking for one of their coiled cords for this if they aren't too expensive, or hard to adapt)

Took a full week to arrive... I know that's in their shipping time, but that was the absolute longest it COULD take... (UPS' fault, not the product)

Other Thoughts: Best headphones I've ever used. (even better than several of the $150 - $250 studio headphones I've used)

FYI, I'm an audiophile, not a basshead, so keep that in mind when I say it has great bass sound.

I'll review again if anything changes.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Super comfy, the fabric cushions really make a difference and don't start hurting unless worn for around 7 hours...
Sounds great out of my receiver and notebook, but not so much on a phone. Really comfy. Gold plated. They don't hurt. Did I mention they are comfortable? Also lightweight.

Cons: The cable seems fragile and may break easy, But mine stay at home most of the time so not too worrying.
