The lightweight RS 120 RF lets you enjoy high-quality audio without cumbersome cables. The open, supra-aural headphones deliver a transparent, well-balanced sound with excellent bass production. The headphones come complete with a transmitter, which is also an easy-to-use recharging system. After use, simply place the headphones onto the convenient transmitter base station. They will automatically recharge for the next use. It’s easy to set them up, too! Just plug the transmitter in, and connect the audio cable to an analog output (RCA or headphone plug) - it’s that simple!

Powered by Open-Aire technology, the Sennheiser RS120 delivers detailed, analytical sound with excellent bass reproduction. It's ideal for all types of modern music and TV use. Compatible with set-top DVD and Blu-Ray players, DVRs, satellite receivers, A/V receivers, laptops, Mac/PC, and MP3 players, as well as LCD, Plasma and standard televisions that feature RCA outputs (red and white) and/or 1/8in. and 1/4in. headphone sockets.

Enjoy stereo sound anywhere in the room with reception through walls and ceilings up to 328ft. The transmitter works at 926MHz - 928MHz RF frequency, and three selectable transmit-channels help avoid interference and/or use more than one transmitter in a room. The wall-mountable transmitter features a convenient automatic on/off circuit: when you activate your audio source, the transmitter powers on without switches or buttons - easy! Five minutes after you turn off your audio source, the transmitter shuts off to conserve power.

The lightweight, luxury-padded ear cushions and adjustable headband deliver maximum comfort for extended listening periods. The earpads are replaceable for long service life.

The transmitter is fitted with an "Easy Recharge" function: conveniently recharge the headphone batteries by storing them in the metal cradle.

Volume, on/off, and tuning controls are located directly on the headphones — within your hand’s reach!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Easy to use, easy to setup - range was phenominal and sound quality was just great. Battery life is completely sufficient and will last sometimes in excess of 30 hours on one charge at a reasonable volume. I am sure if you had them cranked up to "ear drums blown coming soon" level that would decrease some but I purchased these for my Aunt who was very hard of hearing and she would have them turned up probably half way the whole time she used them. She would say that the quality of sound was astounding. She has since passed away RIP her wonderful soul and now her daughter and grandson are getting the same enjoyment out of them.

Cons: I have no complaints about them. Sennheiser is a top notch company. If you want ANY criticism you will have to look elsewhere. I own corded headphones - HD 212 Pros and I have had them for probably over 5 years and they have not given me any trouble at all either. I had purchases a pair of MORE expensive BOSE headphones and the right ear cup speaker blew out in under 2 years and they offer NO replacement parts. THAT sucks because they are easy to remove if you have a part to swap it with. No more BOSE for this guy after that nonsense...

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this for anyone that watches TV and wants a private, home theater quality like experience without disturbing others in the room that may be doing other things or just has hearing trouble and doesn't want to have to have the television turned up all the way.

3 out of 5 eggsGood value but not the best quality

Pros: - Sennheiser is a trusted brand in the audio engineering community
- Very comfortable even after prolonged useage

Cons: - Headphones often fell of the holder unit
- Cable not long enough

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to friends but I also feel as though there are better options for this type of headset.

3 out of 5 eggsReview from a bigger person (6'3"+)

Pros: 1.The greatest feature for these is by far their weight. I honestly forget that I'm wearing headphones at times.
2.The earpieces are not a cup design, I have bigger ears so cups tend to bend them, or place to much pressure on my skull overtime.
3.The padding foam is quite warm and grips the ear comfortably
5.Headstand charging base is a great plus

I mean those all caps, I'm not exaggerating. Since this thing works like a a headset radio ( you tune into the frequency that is emitted by the base.)
2.Slight movement of the head can cause feedback, audio shifts, and volume shifts.
3 Sometimes it disconnects all together BLARING THE WRATH OF A THOUSAND SUNS straight into your head (Static white noise)
4.The need for a wall outlet.
5 The audio jack connector

Other Thoughts: I will say this it definitely only deserves 2.5+ eggs. I gave it 3 so that any of you guys on the fence about these checking the 3 egg reviews can see this. The Time where everything is perfect and the planets align and this thing works as intended are great experiences. They are amazingly comfortable ! Only thing it drag down is all the equipment needed and connectivity issues.

Personally- spend your money on headphones that actually connect (USB, Bluetooth) then feeling like your at a drive in haveing to tune into a radio station.

1 out of 5 eggsSeller not responding to RMA request

Pros: Good reviews, and a good brand but it seems I got a faulty unit and the seller has not replied to my two RMA requests

Cons: Power cuts out frequently, deafening static randomly being generated. I use the unit less then 4 ft from broadcast in a house without other RF devices). The sound quality at best is horrible. Like I said, I believe this to be a faulty unit, but as the seller refusing to respond to RMA requests I felt I should post here.

Other Thoughts: I will update this review accordingly if the seller choosing to contact me. If you are still seeing this, I would advice caution in purchasing from this seller.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked fine till they didn't

Pros: At the time I bought them (years ago), they were among the cheaper types. Comfortable on the ears. Screen out outside noise.

Cons: They broke too early for the price. I don't think I was particularly rough with 'em, but they sound like some internal wires must have come loose. When they work at all, the sound jerks in and out like if you move it the wrong way you messed up some connection that was weak to begin with.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it.

Pros: None.

Cons: Base unit randomly shuts off and headphones blast static. When it shuts off feedback can be heard in the TV in the form of static. Headphones must be tuned (frequently) to base unit frequency and picks up static from anything near it (wall, arms, hands, lamps, chair back, ...). Pads on headphones fall off frequently. Base unit charging feature is inconsistent. This item is not worth the price or aggravation.

Other Thoughts: This is the first Sennheiser brand item I have purchased that I think is outright junk. I would never recommend it.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible fit

Pros: These have a good range, the sound quality is fine but . Volume knob on headset is convenient.

Some reviews mentioned the angle of the earpieces in a negative light. The angle of the earpieces feels comfortable to me. Much more comfortable than some other headsets I've had which have straight-on earpieces.

Cons: The fit on these is horrible. They are incredibly loose. I think it's a combination of them being wide and top-heavy (though it could be the earpiece angle as some reviewers have suggested). While they are very comfortable, they will NOT stay on your head if you move around. As a person with a pretty large head, this is ridiculous. I wonder if someone with a small head could even wear these. If you tilt your head downwards at all, they WILL fall off (looking through a waist-height drawer, picking something up off the ground, getting something out of the fridge, etc). You can adjust them to stay on while looking down, but they'll just fall off once you pick your head up. There is NO position you can wear this headset where it will stay on as you move.

It seems that the expected use case is to only wear them while sitting at your terminal. Personally, I'm going to attach an elastic band around my headset across the back to keep them on.

The wall-mount is also a joke. There's ONE wall-mount keyway on the back. If you decide to wall-mount it, it will rotate freely.

The static which gets broadcast when no audio is being transmitted is harsh. There should be some kind of built-in squelch. As-is, pausing audio for a sustained period of time will cause the transmitter to go into some kind of standby mode. If you have no audio for a few minutes, you'll eventually have some loud static until you resume the audio. Even with the volume relatively low on the headset, you can hear it while not wearing the headset.

Other Thoughts: It's possible someone could eavesdrop on the audio with an appropriate receiver.

4 out of 5 eggspurchaser

Pros: I rated this item before with only 2 stars because of static. The company called me and helped fix the problem on my end and the headphones work properly now.

Cons: none
