1 out of 5 eggsUPDATE, DO NOT BUY

Pros: cheep

Cons: DAMAGED MY EARS. I would hear crackling when ever I took these jogging I assumed it was the speaker diaphragm or something well I figured out why this was happening, ear buds normally have a passage way to relieve pressure from the ear canal and speaker and these look like they do but the one side didn't work. This caused pressure especially from removing and putting back in the ear bud. I didn't realize this until even when the ear buds were out but i still heard the crackling. Luckily since then my ears have healed but rosewills quality control on any of their products (i've had other things from them like card readers and cases) are all unacceptable. The price is enticing but in the end it's a complete waste of money when they hurt you and don't function

Other Thoughts: In winter the metal body likes to shock you... Seriously don't buy this or any other stuff from Rosewill

2 out of 5 eggsFalling Apart

Pros: - Cheap
- Nice looking
- Decent fit
- Clearly marked R/L (unfortunately rare these days)

Cons: - Protective metal collar where 3.5 mm plug meets wires has come loose after maybe half a dozen uses
- Shrill sound

Other Thoughts: Might be worth a gamble if cheap but I wouldn't (and didn't) pay much for it.

5 out of 5 eggsshocked at the audio quality

Pros: Got these free on cyber monday. Gave them a listen today and I was shocked at how good they sound.

I have a set of Denon AH-710 that I have had for about two years or so that I am comparing these to. They weren't cheap by any means, around $120 at the time. I listen to music through my computer with a creative sound card.

I plugged them in and I was quite suprised. I am not an audiophile by any means. However, the one thing I don't like about my denons are the mids. They are too loud imo. I usually EQ them lower to balance out the sound. These however, the mids are perfect. The sound profile is somewhat similar I think, though they cannot get anywhere as low as my denons, they provide a good thump in the higher bass range. The highs sound decent.

As far as instrument separation and sound stage I cannot really comment because I am not that much of an audiophile to pick apart the differences.

Overall though, I would definitely rate these highly for the current listed price. I had a set of Maximo iM-490S iMetal a few years ago and compared to my Denon's they sounded just terrible. These Rosewills are loads better than the maximos.

I have no idea how these sound through an ipod. I have noticed however my Denons do not sound nearly as good on an mp3 player compared to my computer. I believe all headphones benefit from being amped. For those not giving them good ratings, take a listen through a computer with a sound card or get a headphone amp.

I definitely give these an A+ for the price.

Cons: None yet, build quality seems decent enough. Cannot comment on durability considering I just got them today.

Other Thoughts: To write this review, I listened to several reference quality sound tracks. Most music nowadays sounds terrible in general. The mixing/recording is garbage and it never sounds right. I dont believe it is fair to judge any headphone by popular "radio songs" or anything main stream. You get the real picture when you listen to reference tracks that have very good mixing/recording/ and dynamics.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They were free on cyber monday.

Decent build quality.

Cons: Sound terrible, worse than laptop speakers. I ended up giving them away.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend these.

2 out of 5 eggshorrible

Pros: They look nice.
They fit good.

Cons: The sound is 100% horrible. The earbuds that came with my sansa clip+ sound amazing compared to these and they are just free trash earbuds that sound like trash too.

I had to turn the bass all the way up and the treble all the way down just to get normal sounding music ( I do not listen to bass heavy music, no rap or anything like that)

I only paid $10 for these and I feel ripped off, that is how bad they sound.

Other Thoughts: my $10 Sony buds from walmart sound better then these.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat I expected for 10 bucks

Pros: Cheep, Look sophisticated or something like that

Cons: One ear bud is slightly louder then the other, specs say sensativity is 103db/w +-3db.
Right/Left marking already wore off after a day or two of use, not laser engraved just kinda painted on there

Other Thoughts: They're pretty much exactly what i expected to get, the finish isn't great the sound isn't great but for 10 bucks it's pretty on par with everything else they just look cooler
