4 out of 5 eggsgood for the money

Pros: Decent sound, comfortable earpieces, adjustable and removable mic. Great for gaming, just ok for music

Cons: noticed some buzz if either game or voice is turned down, requires usb to be plugged in to power

Other Thoughts: I've had this set for nearly a year (purchased from a local retailer) and they've been a dream. I use them for a few games when i play with my friends and we can always hear eachother fine. I really like the removable mic, so i can use them as just headphones without having a mic constantly in my face. All around they feel solid to me, i've accidentally stepped on them a few times, tossed them around, had them drop off the table a bunch, and they're still like new. Picking up a second set for a friend of mine who likes how they fit.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This headset has overall good sound quality for a gaming headset. The ability to use this device on my Xbox 360, PC and my friend's PS3 is definitely a pro. The earphones are comfortable and snug on your ears, and definitely help in immersing yourself in your game/music. The device is super easy to set up and to use, and the integrated controllers are very intuitive.

Cons: When compared to a $40 Logitech USB headset, people on the other end of ventrilo/skype/mumble all claimed that my voice was clearer and better quality on the Logitech headset. The headset also had an irritating feedback noise that changed pitch and volume depending on what input/output settings I was using. The headset's durability is a large con; I purchased this headset from a store and paid extra to get their two-year full-coverage warranty added. Within three months the headset's plastic frame that connects the earphones to the headband began to break crack and eventually broke, leaving the ear phone hanging by a wire. I returned to the store and exchanged it for an undamaged one, as per my warranty, and here I sit, less than four months from that exchange, and my current AX180 is now breaking in the exact same way. The cable between the headphones and the little volume control is also starting to wear out. In no way am I misusing or improperly handling or storing this device.

Other Thoughts: Good as far as sound quality and ease of use, but far too flimsy and fragile to be worth your money, unless you like taking borderline neurotic steps to maintain your peripherals. I would recommend against buying this device, especially if you plan on using it just for PC, or if you, like most consumers, don't go out of your way to lay it on a velvet shrine so its flimsy construction doesn't break. Not worth the money.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They were really comfortable to me. When I played a lot of Modern Warfare 2 I could wear them for hours without even realizing I had them on. They didn't feel like they were that cheaply made or anything.

My dog chewed through my cord and after talking to @TrittonUSA on Twitter they actually sent me a free replacement cord and it only took two days for it to get to me.

They actually have basic left and right audio as well. So while its not actual surround sound. You can still tell if something is to your left or right. And if you know maps well enough in FPS games you can still tell where someone is by the sound of their footsteps and what they are walking on.

You can get better headsets. But for the price they are the best there is. My headset finally died after a year of owning them and using them a lot. And it only died because of my own carelessness. Gonna be hopefully buying another pair soon :]

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you want to pay more then you can get better. But for the price I'd say they are the best there is. Customer support wasn't bad for me, and they were really comfortable.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing for the price!

Pros: This headset was very reliable, I used it both for my PS3 and PC later on. The sound quality is impeciable for the price, better than any "Turtle-like" headset competition. Tritton by far makes amazing headsets.

Cons: Of course, for the this price something must be "wrong" or "faulty". In this case it'd have to be the durability of the headset its self, for the price the sound is amazing. But yes, they break somewhat easily. But, if you take good enough care these guys can last you a year or longer! (Just like they did for me)

Other Thoughts: Trittons are the only headset I rely on. The AX 180s were my first "real" headset in my opinon. When they broke I was devastated. But I decdied to upgrade to the AX Pros, and oh boy, those things are mind blowing if you have the extra coin.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sound is GREAT! Compatable with my PC, and a great quality mic.

Cons: Almost nothing, the only problem I have with this is that it hurts after 5 hours of gaming, but that's expected.

Other Thoughts: This headset is great! I don't know why everyone keeps saying they "broke". If you take good care of your headset it will last, I have this headset for almost a year. If you have the money I suggest getting this, because it's better than Turtle beaches.

2 out of 5 eggs2 month lifespan

Pros: - Great sound quality
- Works with everything
- Easy to use

Cons: If you haven't read this already, these things are guaranteed to break. I had my 'first' pair for about two months when I noticed the left headphone felt loose and was beginning to sag. I noticed some hairline cracks in weak plastic tabs that adjust the size of the headphone. No matter how what size or how much space you give the headphone, it would always crack more when you wear it. Still under warranty; I sent it back Tritton and recieved a brand new packaged headphone with all the accessories. For some reason I also receive a second headphone (which would be the third one I had) a week later. Two months passed, and the prossess started all over again. This time I tried a few home remedies, electrical tape, duct tape super glue, none of which seemed to work or make the sagging headphone feel any more comfortable. The second pair broke and the third lasted just as long. I was very dissapointed see that these were very good headphones while they lasted.

Other Thoughts: Willing to give Tritton a second chance, I bought an AX 720 headset which has worked perfectly for me ever since. The contrast in quality between these two headsets from the same manufacturer is really rather surprising.

2 out of 5 eggsMic Broken After Six Months and No Help from Customer Support

Pros: -Decent Sound quality
-Somewhat comfortable
-Can use on a variety of systems

Cons: -Not that comfortable
-Seems to be cheaply made
-Mic broken after six months
-Bad customer service.

Other Thoughts: Besides the slight hissing noise they emitted when there was not other sound to block it out, these headphones were decent while they worked. After owning them for approximatley six months, the mic decided to quit on me for no apparent reason.

Also, don't plan on getting any help from their customer service. I contacted them two weeks ago to see if there was a solution for my issue and I still haven't gotten a response and I doubt I will.

For the price, find another set that will last.
