5 out of 5 eggsfollow up review

Pros: I'm no audio professional, but these convinced me that I had no reason to spend any more money on very high quality headphones. there is no loss of functionality. the bass is as rich as always, the high tones are almost heard by the neighbor's dogs, and the entire frequency spectrum is well reproduced. love them for DJ music. long cable is a very nice feature, very useful.

Cons: none. I'm sticking with JVC for headphones for the last 2 years and in the predictable future.

Other Thoughts: no need for > $100 Senheisers or other brands. this is the product that will give you best value and quality of manufacturing and sound in over 80% of cases - if you're a true audiophile and can detect the difference with more expensive headphones, go for other brands. I don't need to, and I'm very far from being hearing challenged.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Headphones I've ever owned.

Pros: Yes best headphones I've ever owned. HOWEVER, I've only owned a few bottom basement headphones, so i may not be the best person when advise is needed on headphones.

Cons: pivot point is the weak spot. Glue in the possible near future

1 out of 5 eggsDied 5 months in

Pros: -Excellent range
-After the initial burn-in, had good bass
-Huge, which I like
-Very comfortable

Cons: Died 5 months after purchase with no real reason. During the middle of work, the right side just stopped working. Very irritating.

I did use these every single day for 8-10 hours a day, but I'm very disappointed in the lifespan, regardless.

Other Thoughts: I don't recommend buying these if you want headphones that last for any length of time. They do have great sound, however.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent price for Premium Cans

Pros: Great Sound Reproduction
Decent Bass
Well designed
Heavy Duty Cable

Cons: Burn-in took about a week
These are kind heavy...not very fun to wear for long hoping they wear in over time and become more comfortable.
The bass is good...not great- clean though.
There is a bit too much squeeze on the head.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Very comfortable and the sound is very good quality. The adjustments are great. can fit a very large head. Has a decent bass. Plenty of cord. The extra connector was nice.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My Brothers dog chewed through the cord so I'm probably gonna buy the same earphones.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded from RX700 and happy

Pros: - excellent sound reproduction, great deep bass and very good middle tones and treble,
- covering entire ear, as good as noise canceling,
- very comfortable though may start feeling warm during prolonged use (not a bad thing in underwarmed office during fall and winter seasons)
- long, thick cord, resistant to physical abuse from constant tangling and untangling,
- for headphones this size, comfy and easy to adjust, also light (or maybe my neck muscles are stronger than average buyer?)
- manufacturing quality
- unmatched value for $56 (when on sale)

Cons: - absolutely none. i'm no longer in market for Senheisers.

Other Thoughts: yes, they're big, but read the name of what you're buying - "full size".

i used to own JVC HA-RX700 for over a year. they were perfect, until the moment my office chair's caster ran over the connector and broke it (and my heart too...)

decided to upgrade to RX900. i left a review of RX700 on NewEgg, and i have very little to add to it. very good headphones for indoor situations - isolating typical office noise or noise on the airplane (way better than some cheaper full-ear Senheiser phones I had for $20).
the difference in sound between RX700 and RX900 is imperceptible for my ears. if there is a slight difference in frequency response range, i can't hear it.

3 out of 5 eggsGood quality for price, but short life span

Pros: Best sounding headphones that I have owned.
Long cord.

Cons: The right headphone stopped working after 8 months. I think it has something to do with the wires in the cord twisting. I was using them everyday, but Im relatively gentle with my equipment.

Other Thoughts: They are physically very big on your head. They are pretty comfortable to wear, but still could pain my ears a little. I have mid to large sized ears.

2 out of 5 eggsDisapointed

Pros: 1. Decent sound quality.
2. Long Cord
3. Comfortable
4. Nice size

Cons: 1. Very short life span (1 month for me)
2. Fragile

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this product based on my experience, but while it did work, it was good. I have had it for about a month and I just started noticing some static when ever sound was playing. It has had a problems with the speakers fading in and out as well, thought I should mention that. If it hadn't broken on me, I would recommend this product.
