2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: First pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Works really well eliminating hums of fans, servers, bus engines, annoying sub-woofer of your neighbor, you name it. not so great at cancelling high frequencies, but hey, there were not high class headphones. When they are not cancelling noise, they are still great headphones!

note: when you turn on noise canceling when listening to music, it does muffle the lower frequency sounds, but not to bad

Cons: THEY FELL APART!!!!! the plastic around the part that adjusts the head size first started out with hairline fractures 2 months in, used super glue to try and fight it off, and now a big chuck of plastic just fell off.... making it around 7 months of use, and i was not abusive to them at all!

Other Thoughts: Disappointed...... they still produce sound and cancel noise, so i guess i need more super glue. I understand everything breaks eventually, but 7 months? common man, this is not how you get customers to come back!

1 out of 5 eggsNoise With Noise Cancelling On?

Pros: Relatively inexpensive; comfortable.

Cons: When I turn the Noise Cancelling on, I get a Chinese radio broadcast in the headphones. Not sure why.
The cord is a little short and flimsy and the first time I plugged it into my phone jack to listen to music, I only got sound out of one side. I have to mess around with the jack to get stereo sound. I've used other headphones without any problems like this. The cord is too short, and feels flimsy. Haven't measured it but it is maybe 2 or 3-feet long and the cord is like the kind you get for free in airlines.

Other Thoughts: Very disapointed with this purchase, and I haven't decided if this is going back. The radio interference I get when the Noise Cancelling is turned on is more annoying than the noise outside that I am trying to cancel! I tried it on my computer to play a game - the interference noise was almost as loud as my game sound.

I realize that this is not a expensive headphone, but it is not cheap either. The quality of the parts leaves a lot to be desired.

1 out of 5 eggsFell apart

Pros: Reasonably priced, lots of good reviews on newegg

Cons: Fell apart in about 3 months, literally. base is distorted when noise canceling is enabled. They are junk, wish I would have spent a little extra on a nicer pair.

Other Thoughts: Dont buy if you travel a lot and need them for plane rides, they dont travel well.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for Price!

Pros: First time using the Audio-Technica brand, but very impressed. Sound becomes very clear and does a great job drowning out most noise. Case and removable headphone cord has already came in handy a few times!

Cons: - The 'lock' headphones got tricky a few times, and if wasn't hooked up correctly, was only playing out of one ear
- When not using the noise cancelling feature, sounds seems to be dampened a little bit.

Other Thoughts: If looking for a a decent priced pair of noise cancelling headphones, these will definitely do the trick!

4 out of 5 eggscompetitive pair of headphones

Pros: fits very comfortably on my head. adjustable.
Sound quality is good, the base is not excessive.
Noise dampening is good. It's not like putting in a pair of earplugs, but you do notice a significant difference.
the speaker units are on a swivel and can fold in so they easily fit in the included hardshell travel case.
Seems to be reasonably well-made.

Cons: I really wish there was an option to power the noise canceling with a USB cord instead of a battery.
When I bought it the battery cover popped off and I had to re-glue it on. This was a simple fix, but seriously I paid good money for this. Why do i have to fix the battery cover?

Other Thoughts: if you want a pair of phones that will deafen you with base, then these are not for you. If you want a good pair of headphones at a reasonable price (at least at the time when I bought them) then you should consider these.

4 out of 5 eggsOkay

Pros: Just finished putting them through their paces. Sound is very good as I write this. It is better than a cheap pair of Logitech USB ones I have , which lack the deep bass, and somewhat better than an old Radio Shack set of comparable price.

Cons: If you set the bass too high with noise cancellation on, it apparently feeds back through the headset and distorts badly. Some distortion with booming bass without noise cancellation. If you listen to real rocking bass, these headphones are not for you.

Other Thoughts: Noise cancellation works fairly well with constant sounds like jet noise, but does not screen out changing sounds like talking. Most of the external sound reduction comes from the cushions.

5 out of 5 eggsyay

Pros: Makes my noisy as poop computer quite!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Some people say the bass is lacking, i think they didn't plug in the jack ll the way. When I first hooked up these headphones the sound was bad then I pushed in the jack all the way and it was awesome, plenty of base and clarity.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: Excellent value for the price. Absolutely great sound quality. seems solidly built. Nice and compact.
another reviewer mentioned lack of bass. when I first put these on I thought they sounded pretty "lacking" but I hadn't plugged the connector in firmly enough (and locked). After that the bass is nice and deep and the highs are nice and crisp.

Cons: cable that included is pretty short but that's no big deal.. just buy a longer one if you need it for 5 bucks.

Other Thoughts: I was prompted to buy these headphones after listening to a pair of noise cancelling bose headphones.. They were absolutely incredible, but I really didn't want to throw out 300 bucks on something that I wouldn't use on a very regular basis. This was an excellent compromise. For 1/6th the price you get a pretty comparable product. The noise cancellation isn't as good, but it is certainly more than adequate. The ear cups seem a little small at first but they were very comfortable even after an extended listening period.

5 out of 5 eggsATH-ANC27

Pros: Just got these in the mail today. Noise cancelling is pretty good especially when music is playing. Good High and Low end. Bass is very good.

Cons: Some minor discomfort initially, but once broken in they are boss.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay

Pros: Dampers outside noise
Good quality

Cons: Short cord. Not a problem for me, but I mean, it's like...1-2 feet long. I've never heard of a company providing a cord that short. Clearly for personal, MP3, computer and CD use. Nothing far.

Lacking Bass in my opinion. Music just doesn't have as much depth as I was expecting

Other Thoughts: Great quality, and it really does block outside sound.

But I've used cheaper headphones without noise cancellation that sound better purely for the fact that they have more bass.
I'm not some bass junky that needs my ears blown out either.
I'm listening to music now, and there's just nothing underneath it, you know?
What I hear is great, but I'm expecting another layer of deeper, softer notes to add to it all, but it's not there :/

I'm probably going to exchange for another pair, not sure which yet.
