2 out of 5 eggsThere are better for half this price

Pros: It works. It looks nice.

Cons: It works horribly. I guess I just paid for the design and not the performance.

It is very veiled, sounds very dark, no details, and bass is messy/bloaty.

Other Thoughts: I've had better buds for half the price. The Sony MDREX58v is superior and only costs half as much. It has way better clarity, detail, and a very nice bass punch.

2 out of 5 eggsVery disappointed

Pros: It looks very clean and attractive.
Very sturdy.

Cons: Unfortunately, the cost went into the design and not the quality of sound.

Voices are bland, bass sounds wrong, everything sounds slightly muffled. Totally not what I expected.

Other Thoughts: I thought by buying expensive ear pieces, I would get quality. This is not the case. I would go back to my old ear piece which had TRUE quality sound, and at half the price, but I don't like the freaking volume control on it; Its located at just the wrong height and rubs against EVERY FREAKING THING at work. I need something with just as much quality, minus the volume control, and this ear piece is NOT it. I would've given it a 1 egg, but the design is very attractive so i gave it 2.

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg Good, Maximo Bad

Pros: When they worked, they had good sound.

Cons: Short Lifespan. Start to get open ckt in cord near plug after 2 months gentle use. They don't respond to guarantee requests. No response what so ever. Are they out of business?

Other Thoughts: Why have a guarantee if they won't even respond to their claim system?

5 out of 5 eggsA Solid "Great Deal For Your Money" Purchase

Pros: Low Price
Carrying Case
Sturdy all-metal earphone design
Isolation really works
multiple ear canal pieces (small/large)
2.5mm adapter
Great overall sound highs, mids, lows

Cons: Shipping took 7 days. Item was shipped from a warehouse in NJ then tendered to UPS in TX and finally made it to my house in OK.

Other Thoughts: When I first put these in I tried to re-produce the cracking sound that other claimed to hear (reviews on newegg), but I was only able to make one poping sound. After that I wore them for about 30-45 minutes and moved them around periodically but I was unable to produce and cracking sounds.

I used them to play gran turismo on the PSP which I immediately noticed everything had a higher fidelity. The cars actually sounded like race cars and I could pick out their different exhaust tones. Cool!

5 out of 5 eggsBest headphones I've owned yet

Pros: For the price I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't really ever buy headphones, but these are amazing. They fit snugly and cancel out outside noise. I feels like I have the band in my head.

Cons: People might not want to borrow them as you have to stick them in your ear canal.

Other Thoughts: I personally never heard of Maximo but did some web searching and people love em, so I figured I should give them a try. I'm glad I did.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Christmas Gift

Pros: My wife bought these for me as a Christmas present and I cannot complain. Good sound, better than any earphones or buds included with MP3 players. Even better than the iPod earphones that everyone seems to love so much.

Bass response is good and the general sound is full. Comfortable, and the all metal construction is really nice.

Cons: None yet.

5 out of 5 eggsThese are incredibly good for the price

Pros: - Clear, crisp sound with more than acceptable bass.
- Low price.
- Excellent build quality.

Cons: After substantial use, ear buds can come off and lodge in ear. But, you can easily "dig them out".

Other Thoughts: I can't believe Newegg is still offering these!

I bought them almost a year ago and they'd disappeared from the site for some time. I just happened to check whether I'd reviewed the ear buds after buying them and I hadn't. So, I was stunned that they weren't "deactivated" when I went to write the review.

This is a pleasant surprise since these are the best ear buds you could imagine for the price. They're extremely well made and the only "problem" I've had with them is that - as the rubber stretches through repeated use - the ear bud covers can sometimes come off in your ear.

I've used these almost every day at work for the past year and - now that I know they're available again - I won't hesitate to get a new pair when I need one.

2 out of 5 eggsRMA'd Set

Pros: RMA'd set has not failed.

Songs with lots of base are acceptable.

Look nice.

Cons: Right ear bud makes a sound similar to a popcan being crumpled up inside of my ear anytime the bud is moved or ear presure changes, (opening mouth, etc).

Songs with little base tend to be "tingy" and when base comes in, they tend to be on the light side.

Other Thoughts: I had high hopes for these but I seem to be a little disapointed at every turn.

This is the type of thing that should just work. Having to position it "just right" or deal with RMA's or "tingy" or "crumpled popcan" sounds is just rediculous.

I do not recommend.

Pros: Great set of earphones.. good base, light weight, Easy on the ear. The sound is great on these phone. A really good buy

Cons: Wish it had a magnet end so they would stick together when not inuse.

Other Thoughts: For all those who say it break in a few days. Hey if you are going to buy ear phones that are 40 dollars you have too handle with care. Peace

5 out of 5 eggsPretty decent for price

Pros: When positioned properly in your ear and shoved in far bass response is very good
Small and lightweight

Cons: Case that you can store the headphones in is hard to wrap the cord around (not really a con, case is very nice to have though)
Can be uncomfortable for long periods of time for some
Hard to fit for small ears

Other Thoughts: I had to use the smallest size rubber ear pieces that came with it and sometimes they still fall out if not properly positioned in your ears. This might be just me and might fit better for some. Overall this product seems to be of very high build quality and sound quality is excellent considering the price point. Much better quality than standard cheap 10 dollar earbuds.

I would definitely recommend to try these, I haven't had a problem with them and I did a lot of research into finding a good pair of headphones for under 50 bucks. Probably not as good as the Shure's or Bose but half the price!
