Pros: It was cheap. In price.

Cons: It was cheap. In value. One of those ear phones that amplifies anything friction that the wire touches.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome earbuds!

Pros: These sound very nice! forward, smooth bass. Treble has nice sparkle to it. And the mids are smooth as well!

Cons: The metal wire used in the ear-hooks will eventually pop out of the rubber casing, but they lasted a good 2 years before this was an issue.

Other Thoughts: Everything considered, these are very nice earbuds! they are comfortable, and sound very nice. Even though my set is now broken because of the memory wire issue, I still say these are a good value. I plan on ordering another set soon. Meelec rocks!

5 out of 5 eggsHave one of these for over a year

Pros: Great bass and other frequencies. I use it at the YMCA and it isolates noises well. I can hear the TV if I lower the volume but it keeps equipment noise away. When people are talking loudly, I just up the volume a bit. I just bought two more for under $15/ea. One is for my wife and the other one is the back-up. From other feedback eventually one earpiece will stop working...

Cons: The rubber insert falls off after a year, but I used a bit of silicone glue and now it is good forever. So this is my advice for people who face the same problem after one year of using these.

Other Thoughts: If you need superior sound quality, these are a must.

5 out of 5 eggsOutrageous Performance for the $

Pros: Dudes - GET THIS. Great Freakquency response. You would expect a set of phones at this price to be tiny or not have a relatively flat frequency response profile. Not so. These sound well clear across the spectrum with truly fantastical base. Plenty of chord length even you're a giant. Using for year and they are my main buds.

Cons: absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: If I had two thousand ears I'd buy a thousand of these.

2 out of 5 eggsLast you about a year till you hate them

Pros: Good enough sound quality. The flexible factor makes it comfortable. Only used in my office to drown out office noise.

Cons: Right around a year, the flex part of the headphones is splitting and I can't take the headphones off without the rubber ear pieces falling off or staying in my ear. Very irritating. The cord is a bit shorter than I would like. Just long enough to have it in my pocket which is a bit limiting

5 out of 5 eggsHighly recommended

Pros: Fits very comfortably in the ears, sounds great, does a good job of blocking out ambient noise.

Cons: A little awkward to remove.

Other Thoughts: I have had this for a few weeks and am very happy with the performance. I do a lot of fast walking for exercise and these earphones fit wonderfully, never come loose, sound great and block out ambient noise better than most other sound isolating earbuds I have owned. I liked them so much that I just bought another pair.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None at all

Cons: Just bought two of these because of some of the reviews. They are both going back. One of them has a dead side so very faint sound. The other pair is low volume with marginal sound quality, almost livable BUT NOT. I bought the Sansa Clip Zip mp3 player which comes with ear buds but I wanted to improve on them with a sports pair. Total waste of time and money.

Other Thoughts: The other issue with these ear buds is getting them to work in your ears. I had to go to the smallest foam tips to make them work, and they did barely. DON'T BUY THESE EAR BUDS!!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Dynamics Range

Pros: I wanted to ditch floor monitors wth in ear monitoring. These have such an excellent fit. I play keyboards in a Church band. These babies work very well. I play everyting from rockin' Gospel organ to deep bass. These headphones keep up with the wide dynamic range of sound that I throw at it. They provide a nice flat response, which is a desireable feature in a monitor, you don't want a "Bass Boost" because it would give you a false impression as to what you are sending to the house.

Because the ear canal is secure I can jump arround and enjoy the music without distraction. I love how they look too. In that because they have a flat profile they don't stick out of your ears.

It comes with a nice case, which helps me not loose it when we pack up and play at other gigs.

It also comes with 6 different tips. I use the Tripple flange which gets deep into my ear canal. I love how it feels and it provides me with the Isolation I love. Wiht 6 different tips you would be sure to find one that works for you.

With great isolation I am able to play it a lower volumes which is great because I love to crank it up loud, so now "loud" is a prety low volume.

This unit compares very well to the $99 Sure SE15's, and much more expensive "Professional" in ear monitors.

Price: I got these for $19 on a Shell Shocker w/free shipping. Without a doubt the best deal I have had

Cons: I has a built in Mic which means that it has a Tripple end for cellphones. I have to use an adapter that converts it to stereo only. No adapter was included

I wish they made a model that only came with stereo. I also wish they came in a different color. Black is ok. but I am bald so a nutural skin tone would look better on stage. But not a big deal.

4 out of 5 eggsBest IEMs I've used in the sub-$30 price range.

Pros: Great sound quality for the price.
The treble is clear and crisp.
Mids well represented but could be warmer.
Low-range bass is solid.
Responded very well to burning in.
Though the cord is tangle resistant, the ear hooks may sometimes be annoying to seperate if they cross in your pocket.

Cons: The mid-range bass is a bit lacking (namely electric bass-guitar, and kick bass drums). However, this is the only instance where an instrument is misrepresented. However, don't misunderstand this as a lack of bass. Electronic and synthesized music sound very full and deep, and vocals are not distorted by the heavy bass. At the opposite end of the spectrum: brass, wood, and strings all sound superb and are replicated very accurately.

Other Thoughts: The silicone tips are varied for a reason, as finding the correct set for your ears is crucial to getting best sound quality. The hooks are malleable and easy to re-contour to your ear, however they are less effective for people wearing glasses. My set noticeably improved the perceived depth of sound after burning in for 24 hours. I find the in-line clip to be annoying, but other people may appreciate it if listening on the go.

2 out of 5 eggsNot nearly as good as the M9

Pros: good fit and isolation, choice of ear tips, price

Cons: sound quality poor, tinny, low volume

Other Thoughts: I've been using the Meelectronics M9 earbuds for a couple of years now, and have even given them as gifts, I was so impressed with the quality of sound and durability for the money. But I was looking for a pair that would stay in my ears more securely when exercising, so thought I'd try the M6. The specs for these buds are nearly identical, both using 9mm drivers and having 16 ohm impedance, but WOW is that where the similarities end! I used the same double-flange tips on the M6 as I do with the M9, get a really good seal, and then start the music. At the same volume and eq settings that I listen to with my M9's, the M6's are much quieter, no bass, and tinny. I am just shocked at the difference. I have to increase the volume of my mp3 player a lot, and bump the bass on the eq settings to nearly maximum in order to achieve similar sound to the M9's, and if I were to switch out the buds for the M9's, I'd find the sound so loud that I'd hurt my ears for sure. It appears that the M6's are either defective, or have a much less efficient design than the wonderful M9's. Believe me I have no problems getting a good seal, that's not the cause here. The buds fit wonderfully, it's the electronics inside that are the problem. I have emailed Meelectronics, hopefully this is just a defective pair, as I love the design.
