Pros: Good bass heavy headphones for general use by general people, excellent price and everything, come with a nice case.

broke on me, even with my light usage within the year, I usually rode a bicycle with them, never had any startling jostles with them, but nonetheless, one of the earbuds went out randomly. would still recommmend them, though I will be buying a different pair this time

Cons: Not too comfortable, even though it comes with 3 or 4 optional rubber ear pieces that are interchangeable. possibly I'm just not a fan of inner earbuds

Seems to be a magnet for ear wax

Pros: - Sound (bass may sound muddy at first, but will clear after a few hours of "burn in")
- Sound: please make sure you pick the right eartips to get a good seal. For instance, I have the small eartip on the left, and the medium on the right. Seems to work for me. It also helps with distinguishing left from right in the dark.
- Braided cable (or is it an illusion?)

Cons: - These headphones may not be the right match for my earcanals: when I push them in, sometimes they will completely seal off my earcanal, resulting in very dampened sound. I often have to adjust them for a few seconds, usually by pulling them out a little bit
- Some people may not like the plasticky feel of the cord
- That cord also gets harder, the longer you use it (probably due to skin oil, dirt, and general use and outside exposure)

Other Thoughts: I purchased the M9 with the white cord a while back. They broke at the plug after about 8 months of moderate use. MEElectronics customer support was excellent, they promptly mailed out a replacement after receiving my broken headphones.

I buy many budget earphones, and my absolute favorites are the Altec Lansing UHP206. They are a tad clearer than the MEElec M9.

And as always, a huge thank you to the reviewers at Newegg and at countless other tech forums.

Pros: -Excellent quality.
-Even with music turned off, they block ambient noise very well.
-Crisp audio, smooth bass.
-Very comfortable. My old earbuds would destroy my ears after wearing them for long periods of time. These make love to my ears :P

Cons: -The Product picture Newegg shows is outdated. The jack plug thingy shown has a smooth ( curve, the ones I got is more of a standard L shape.
- Has a barely audible buzzing noise. You can't hear it unless you're really looking for it, though.

Other Thoughts: Definately $30 headphones. I paid $10, and that's just excellent!

Pros: Very good response -- deep bass, and treble probably higher than my ears can hear, now.

2D / left-right separation is excellent. I routinely hear more details in music than with a pair of over-the-ear cans that cost 20x what these did on sale. I get the "new song" experience with old favorites, using these, due to hearing new details.

Clarity -- sound is clean, pure and (when the earphones are positioned well) pretty flat. A little dip in the midrange, a little bass boost, maybe a bit tinny, but nothing to write home about.

Portability -- of course something this small is portable. The case supplied with them is perfect for them, and is easy to stow in a pocket.

Cons: Tip-Ring-Ring-Ring (TRRR) construction (which is necessary for the mic, I realize) is not fully compatible with all MP3 players, for instance, or many 1/8" stereo connectors and adapters. This likely accounts for many peoples' "horrible sound" comments -- it's very easy to have the plug inserted too far into a non-TRRR compatible jack, and what results is hearing only the stereo component of the signal without the mono component as well. It's also easy to have the plug too far out out of a TRR jack, which results in mono or even one ear only playing.

Ear positioning is highly critical -- without perfect angle and depth in the ear canal, sound quality is profoundly affected. When it's right, the sound is quite impressive. When it's wrong, the sound is noticeably degraded until you reposition the earpieces.

Other Thoughts: I wrote a review shortly after receiving these, and thought a followup would be in order, given that I know more now about using them than I did initially.

TRR - TRRR adapters are very difficult to find. Thus if you have a phone such as an iPhone or droidX, these are a great ear canal earphone for you. If you only have legacy equipment, look at other MEElectronics headphones that have the TRR.

MEElectronics should supply (or at least sell) a TRRR > TRR audio-only adapter so a wide range of people can enjoy the earphones' superb sound quality.

Choice of the correct set of vinyl earcups is important so they stay in your ear canals. You may need to use different ones if your ear canals are differently sized. I found that while removal is easy, putting new ones on takes a little strategy. The blunt metal eraser protector on a mechanical pencil is about the right diameter to gently stretch it over the end of the earphone emitter shaft, which allows you to slide it into place.

Pros: Sound is better than my old Skullcandy earbuds that I bought for 40 bucks IMO of course. I like the different tips that come in the case and the cord has a nice "shield" over it that feels sturdier than anything else you could get at this price.

Cons: Only con I really have is that the pair I received are a little different than those in the picture. I think I got the first version of these instead of the second. The plug at the end isn't the weird angled one (which I wanted), but an L-shaped one. No biggie as they still sound great, but I did want the newest version of these available. From reading the Head-Fi.org forum review, the newer version sound even better. So if you get those, they'll be better than mine.

Other Thoughts: I just want to quote Vengance [sic] of Chipmunk here:

"Definitely try ALL of the tips. DO NOT just try out the headphones with the ones that are already on the headphones and call it good (or bad). As the "Start Guide" says: everyone's ears are different.
If you have never had ear-buds like this, give them a chance. They will probably feel a little weird at first, allow yourself to grow accustomed to them before giving up on them.
They may sound a little "ringy" at first. This will work itself out after a little use as you "break-in" the headphones."

This is good advice.

Pros: Deep bass, clear highs.

Cons: No cons. For $11.99 shipped from Newegg, There isn't a better sounding IEM around.

Other Thoughts: Fast delivery from Newegg and another excellent product from Meelectronics. Win, win situation.

Pros: Excellent sound for its price, it beats almost all other earbuds that came with your device(phone, mp3 player)

Pros: They're good in terms of headphones, but not as amazing as others would have you believe. They're about on the skullcandy level for sound. Excellent for value, but nothing amazing. Probably comparable to $25-35 sets. My personal feeling is that the skullcandy is a hair better for bass response, but these have a better quality in the wiring and connector.

Cons: Don't seal as well as expected. Especially with a helmet, which dislodges. My search continues.

Other Thoughts: I have major earwax issues. eww.

Other Thoughts: Excellent choice for your portable audio needs. Works as well as the brand name products. So far working as advertised and my daughter has not destroyed them yet.

Pros: Sound is good.
Construction seems to be good-excellent, none of those 1mm thick headphone cords make me way more confident in the durability aspect of the headphones.
They come with a case and a full set of extra tips.
Extremely good combination of construction quality and sound for the money.
Good at filtering outside sound. Especially if you use the double tips.

Cons: They don't make my bed.
