Pros: Easy setup.

Cons: Drobo rebooted itself, so we opened a ticket with support. 17 days later they still don't know what happened. With that type of reliability this shouldn't be used for any virtual machines just network storage.

Pros: The Drobo system is never a let down, This is a great system to have for small-medium business owners and users. The Drobo dashboard is a nice tool to use but you need to know about networking in order to use this system over a larger network.

Cons: So Drobo likes to sell their systems as plug and go's but they are not a walk in the park at all. We are a OSX company and you need to have a SAN iSCSI initiator program if you read into the setup of the B1200i system. This is the only way you can configure the drobo and ports on the back. Windows users don't have to worry about this. I suggest OSX users Get a program called GlobalSAN by Studio Network Solutions. They allow you to use 14 day free trial, and it cost like 80ish bucks. Drobo will tell you to buy ATTO SAN cause they have a partnership but at $200 extra bucks.
