1 out of 5 eggsStinks

Pros: Looks sleek. Nice and compact.

Cons: Shutter lags because ISO stays so low. No way to manually adjust this. Results in blurry pics :(

Other Thoughts: I'm no pro but not a newbie either. Have shot on manual with a DSLR for years now and although that's what I prefer to shoot with, I needed something to fit in a pocket for school field trips vacation snapshots etc. I knew I couldn't go manual as I could with either of my other cameras (even another Fuji point and shoot I had), but I expected the auto settings on this one to be at least sufficient. I've had trouble getting a sharp picture in most any circumstance even in good lighting. When looking at the properties, I notice that the camera is almost always using a low ISO setting and much to slow of a shutter speed for a subject that moves at all. The pics I've taken with this camera are almost all disappointing. I don't know if the sensor on this camera is bad or what. Glad I didn't pay much for it, because I'm beyond the point of getting a return.

5 out of 5 eggsClassic "Rebate NON-payment" 4 MONTH runaround by VELOCITYfulfillment.com ...all for a $10.00 Rebate

Pros: Nice camera, however Rebate stinks!

Cons: Classic "Rebate NON-payment" 4 MONTH runaround by VELOCITYfulfillment.com
...all for a $10.00 Rebate

Time line:

Dec 12, 2012 Mailed, Submitted rebate form and ORIGINAL bar code 7504133002251

Jan 23, 2013 on line checking shows "We have received your submission"

March 15, 2013 , on line shows ETA of "response" mailed March 30, 2013
Mar 22, nothing
Mar 29, nothing
April 12, nothing
April 30, nothing

April 16, spoke to J****e at Velocity Fulfillment in AZ
1-800-953-3098, and asked,
Why 4 months after mailing form with bar code ???
and one month after "Your response has been mailed",
nothing as yet received ???

April 19, nothing

April 16, Called again She advised me,
"Your submission did not have the original bar code"

Lucky for me,
I took an image of the actual form with the Bar Code properly attached
prior to mailing !!!!

I opened the saved image I had of the form and the "TAPED ON" barcode that I had sent
and quoted her the bar code number from my image on file, 750413002251

Let me repeat:
I took an image of the actual form with the Bar Code properly attached
prior to mailing !

Any way, she advised to fax her this image, she would show her Manager
and see **** "IF "**** they could then authorize the rebate card of $10

**** IF !!!****, I asked her what do you mean "IF" ????
She advised that only the original bar code would do.
I advised that "you already have the original bar code",
TAPED ON THE REBATE FORM!!! as per instructions
...and I only have the copy, YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL !

...and then asked her, if I FAX the image to VELOCITYfulfillment.com,
I still might not receive the $10 rebate card!!!
She said "I don't know if you will receive a rebate,
since only the original bar code is acceptable !"

So here we are,
am I going to spend $50 in time and effort, duplicating work already done,
to claim $10.00, which might NOT be approved,
...I don't think so.
You win !

By the way,
the Nikon L26 works fine.
It's a nice addition to my collection of Nikons, with models dating back to my original "F "

Other Thoughts: I always print out the Rebate Form BEFORE purchase.
In the future, any amention of Velocity Fulfillment kills the deal

1 out of 5 eggsNo Good

Pros: It was cheap

Cons: This camera has a nasty flaw of exhausting yoru batteries very quickly, sure it is usually fixed by turning the cam off then re insert batteries, but you dont want to be doing that when you are out there snapping pics.

Other Thoughts: If this was a car it would have been recalled by Nikon, I do not understand how they can still sell it with a clear conscience.
