Watertight, crushproof and dustproof, this Pelican hardware case provides complete protection for all your equipment. O-ring sealed, the case features an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure. The Double-Throw latches are easy to open and tough. Your equipment can fit into the high-density "pick-n-pluck" foam for total protection against impact, vibration or shock.

  • newegg Unbreakable Design The Pelican 1200 Case uses open cell core with solid wall design to make a strong yet lightweight travel case. The non-corrosive stainless steel pins securely attach the handles, latches and hinges to the body.
  • newegg Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve The exclusive Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve is a semi-permeable membrane, which resists water ingress and automatically releases pressure in case of atmospheric pressure changes. That makes it perfect for holding camera lenses because it will help keep them dry-preventing fungus from growing on your expensive lens.
  • newegg The Ultimate Protection O-ring sealed for watertight capability, the Pelican 1200 Case also includes versatile "Pick 'N' Pluck" convoluted lid foam to guard even the most fragile or sensitive equipment from damage.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost TOO good

Pros: Very strong, powerful case that is perfect for long distance travel with the camera and maybe a small lens.

Cons: A little clanky, just a preference

Other Thoughts: Didn't put in too much use.

4 out of 5 eggsFoam not pluckable in depth?

Pros: got it fast and seems to be the real deal

Cons: vertical foam not pick and pluckable, only horizontally, if that makes sense. So, it made me wonder, is this the way it's supposed to be? Or maybe the good price was because it was a factory slip up. To be honest though, this is my first Pelican case with pluckable foam, and I was able to make it all work.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: This thing is indestructible. It's great for my camera too. I have a Canon Rebel XS, and it fits snugly with a telephoto lens attached, with a standard 55-75mm lens and extra battery, all in the case.

It is water tight and nearly unshakable.

I had my camera, in the closed case, sitting on a balcony, 2 stories above the ground. One of my friends bumped it off accidentally, and it fell all the way to the ground, bounced, and fell in the pool. When I retrieved it, the camera was unharmed, and the box was fine.

Cons: The latches are a little stiff, but I'd rather they be tight and seal tight than loose, and not be water tight

Other Thoughts: I now own 3 of these, 2 thanks to a shell shocker sale, and I'm hoping that Newegg continues to sell these awesome cases.... I plan on getting a 1400 next.

5 out of 5 eggsHeavy Duty

Pros: Excellent case very heavy duty. anything you out in this case will be safe. The foam on the inside is perforated so you can outline the item(s) you want to put in there and they will sit snugly down in the foam.

Cons: None come to mind.

Other Thoughts: The latches are stiff at first but they will get easier as you use it.

5 out of 5 eggsit's a tank

Pros: tight seal, durrable, pleanty of foam that's easy to remove to make a custom cradel.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: the latches can be hard to open, but i don't see that as a con because it helps keep the seal tight.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's OK

Pros: Strong case, foam is soft and latch locks stay in place.

Cons: Difficult to unlatch.

Other Thoughts: This is big enough for a gun and clips.

5 out of 5 eggsPelican Cases Are Bullet Proof

Pros: Pelican is the best around.

Cons: This size didn't fit my Canon Rebel T2i comfortably even though it came with the camera free. The box is too small for a DSLR to fit comfortably.

Other Thoughts: Pelican cases are the best around for durability. I will use this box to transport multiple lenses instead of the camera. You can always find a use for pelican cases if you are an outdoorsmen.
