The Tamron SP AF60mm F/2.0 Di II LD 1:1 Macro is the industry’s first medium telephoto macro lens designed for APS-C size digital SLR cameras that features a fast maximum aperture of F/2.0—one stop faster than the F/2.8 maximum aperture found on conventional macro lenses in the same class. The SP AF60mm F/2.0 covers an equivalent angle of view of 93mm when converted to the 35mm format. With its fast F/2.0 maximum aperture, the new macro delivers dramatically attractive blurred background effects. And the addition of Internal Focusing (IF) and Full Time Manual Focus Control Mechanism to its list of highlight features makes this lightweight and compact 1:1 macro lens incredibly easy to use.
SP (Super Performance) Series Tamron SP (Super Performance) series is a line of ultra-high-performance lenses designed and manufactured to the exacting specifications demanded by professionals and others who require the highest possible image quality.
1.1 Life-Size Macro Lens with Fast Maximum Aperture of F/2 The maximum magnification ration of 1:1 brings a whole new range of unique textures and appearances to your photographic expression, allowing you to produce and capture rare moments of beauty. With a maximum aperture of F2, the extensive soft blurring effect produces a beautiful contrast between the in-focus and out-of-focus areas. This fast lens is specifically tailored to deliver this dramatic blurring of the background while placing the subject in sharp focus, enabling a three-dimensional effect so difficult to achieve in images taken with slower lenses.
Low Dispersion (LD) Glass Elements The Tamron SP AF10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 Di-II LD Aspherical [IF] lens adopts 2 large Low Dispersion (LD) glass elements to help reduce chromatic aberration for superior image sharpness.
Full-Time Manual Control Mechanism The full-time manual focusing control mechanism enables seamless use of the auto and manual focus modes without needing to adjust the AF/MF switchover button.
Internal Focusing (IF) System Internal focusing (IF) provides numerous practical benefits to photographers including a non-rotating front filter ring that facilitates the positioning of polarizing and graduated filters, and more predictable handling because the lens length does not change during focusing. Even more important, Tamron’s Internal Focusing (IF) system provides a much closer minimum focusing distance (MFD) throughout its entire focusing range. In addition, IF improves optical performance by minimizing illumination loss at the corners of the image field, and helps to suppress other aberrations that become more troublesome at different focusing positions.
Digitally Integrated (Di-II) Lens Optimized for APS-C Format Digital SLR Cameras Tamron Di-II lenses are engineered expressly for digital SLR cameras with image sensors commonly referred to as APS-C, measuring approximately 24mm x 16mm. Rendering an ideal image circle for APS-C sensors, Di-II lenses also include properties to optimize digital imaging performance.
