5 out of 5 eggsThe WNCE2001 Wi-Fi Adapter

Pros: this sets up Very easy! with any computer either a laptop or desktop you simply plug it into the port open your browser and type wnce2001 and your browser goes to the setup page for the wireless adapter, simply follow the instructions if gives you on the screen by just selecting the wireless connection that's your and enter the password in like it says. the rest of the setup is auto and easy and fast! I have had this since 2011 and have not had a problem with it since! my wife has been using it on her computer ever since streaming movies and everything else in that matter that a woman would do. haven't really used it on gaming to try it out in that matter "since the router is hard wired into my computer" I liked it so much I bought me a 2nd one and plugged into our bluray player in our living room to stream movies from Netflix and so on and it does flawlessly, since I already had one setup took about 82 seconds and it was up and running

Cons: could have been a little cheaper but I guess atleast its staying strong

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: Very small size.
Can be powered by USB.
Easy setup using WPS or web browser.
Can be used to create a wireless switch.

Cons: Under periods of heavy usage it can run very warm.

Other Thoughts: I use this in my home office, which is in the attic 30 feet and 2 floors above the router, with floors and a wall impeding the signal. I connected this little device to a 4 port gigabit switch, creating a wireless switch. There are 2 desktop computers and a network multifunction printer connected to the switch. This device has never given me a minute of trouble, and it has run 24/7 for over 2 years in an attic whose temperature has exceeded 100 degrees many times in the summer months, and dropped below 35 degrees in winter months. I have it 2 feet away from any other electronics, sitting on a shoe box, so it has plenty of ventilation. Bandwidth is excellent, I have downloaded files from the internet at over 100mbs, and it does not bottleneck file transfers across the network. What is even more amazing to me is that the area I live in is saturated with wireless networks-at least 8, yet I detect no interference. All in all , an excellent product.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid device

Pros: Simple to setup, haven't had one fail yet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: We use these to give copy machines a wireless connection. It's especially useful in trailers at refineries where all they usually have is a 4G wireless hotspot device. These units are in dirty environments, and I have had zero complaints.

3 out of 5 eggsdied after 3 years

Pros: Set up was fairly easy. worked well for 3 years.

Cons: died yesterday.
was very hot to the touch. all the lights were out, even though it was plugged in.
took a temp gun to it and it read 110 degrees F.
little concerned what it would have done if I hadn't noticed it.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 3 stars because it did work fine when it worked.
no issues due to power outages or whatever and kept its settings.
too bad it died so quickly.
probably won't buy again due to the price.

1 out of 5 eggsStay away

Pros: None that I would consider.

Cons: Will not stay connected, random disconnects, Netgear support is non-existant.

Other Thoughts: Customer reviews aren't always a good way to decide on a product I guess. How this got 4 stars is surprising since most of the issues are the same.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: None

Cons: Do not purchase this. I bought this for my Blu ray player and every time I tried to set this up it tells me I need to get closer to my router. The last several times I tried to set it up I was right next to the router ( 1 feet away ). I even reset the device and still doesn't work. I had to purchase a new wifi bridge adapter. After using the "other" new device the blu-ray works fine.

Other Thoughts: I tried to call up tech support and they were not help.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for Gamming/Direct TV

Pros: -The Netgear connection button is amazing if you have a Netgear router.
- Cheap
- Works well with Direct Tv and gaming systems.

Cons: - Ethernet cable that comes with it is short.

Other Thoughts: Helped upgrade my parents home from G to N. I was glad to see a company still made devices like this. Could not find them in the stores.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money on this

Pros: Was easy to setup and was great when it worked.

Cons: Right after the 90 days warranty(of coarse), the adapter stopped working. Tried everything the techs from netgear suggested and was never able to make it work again. I have to pay to sent it back for exchange.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: easy set up.Worked fine for about 2 months.

Cons: After 2 months lost connection. Only 20ft away from Router. I tried everything and could not get it to work again. A waste of money. Sticking with Ethernet cable!

5 out of 5 eggsSetup was easy

Pros: Easy to setup. I was lazy and didn't want to bridge a router to connect my cannon imagerunner to the wifi so I ordered one of these babies. Cannon wanted almost $500 for a wifi NIC! Easy to set up and works like a charm. It's a bridge so it will work with your current network setup on any device.

Cons: Wish the included USB power cable was a bit longer or at least shared the same connection as other devices. The plug is the same as the AC adapter.
