2 out of 5 eggsConsistent headaches!

Pros: Easy set up.

Cons: Firstly, this modem always had problems with my two Toshiba Portege notebooks since day one and I had to try something to get around. Secondly, I had to reset my router about every several weeks. Too bad I never blamed this router for the resets. When the internet access speed became so bad the other days that no reset could solve I started to realize it was the router. Replaced it and the problem was gone.

I don't know if I should RMA it since it is not a worthy modem anyway. Besides the fact, the problem was quite subtle and I don't know if they can duplicate the problem and fix it.

Other Thoughts: I would avoid Netgear product since they are not what they were.
This was not the first bad Netgear router I encountered. I thought I had bad luck because they are a good brand. Those were the reasons I made the big mistake again in the last purchase. Now I would avoid Netgear products at any cost.

3 out of 5 eggsEh

Pros: Reliable, consistent connectivity

Cons: Won't talk to my LG Smart Blu-Ray player even after updating the player firmware - not via wireless or wired.. It worked fine with Asus & D-Link routers.
Not wall mountable, so it takes up desk space.

Other Thoughts: Looking for a replacement that's NOT NETGEAR. The BD player is more $ to replace than the router.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks great but...

Pros: Router works great out of the box and is way stronger than my previous one.

Cons: The plastic stand wasn't included in the box, I frankly don't understand that one, I'm very disappointed as I would have liked to receive a product with complete parts and that one is the most important.

Other Thoughts: there is clearly a stand in the picture, why it wasn't in the box?????

5 out of 5 eggsAdded range to my network

Pros: I got it for free when I purchased my new Motorola Surfboard Cable modem. Used it as a second access point to extend my network.

Cons: No gigabit ports, but I have an eight port gigabit switch so I'm okay with that. Just need to put a bit more stress on it to see what the effective range actually is.

Other Thoughts: For a free router/access point, I'm not complaining about anything with this thing.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plug and play setup. Very simple to setup this router

Cons: Does not work well. The router transfer speed is very slow despite being very close to it. It does not maintain a good connection, and the range is also poor.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this product despite it being cheap. There are much better routers out there. Don't be cheap! It's not worth the headache.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, easy setup

Pros: Setup was fast and easy as with most routers. Was able to a hotspot going for a client in a few minutes. Has been running nonstop for six months.

Cons: None that I can think of.

1 out of 5 eggsThis was free

Pros: It was free with a purchase of an external modem.

Cons: This isn't fit to route it's way out of the trash. It's only a marginal improvement on the router that I owned before this (another netgear). If you want something that will drop your wireless connections like Snoop Dogg without oven mitts (get it...cause it's hot?!) than buy this elephant with alzheimers. Any time it has to deal with more than one wireless connection (steaming on a laptop and iPad). Everything worked fine when I used an Ethernet cable to plug in my laptop. I have some issues with a device (the router) that will immobilize my mobile devices. Nonsense. Absolute nonsense. I'm only glad it was free.
