5 out of 5 eggsWorked Well

Pros: Definitely improved my signal.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have this antenna connected to my router and TP-Link 5dBi on my wireless adapters. I will say that if my router had more then one antenna I would have used the TPs all around due to the price.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I purchased this so I could get better signal between my downstairs router and my upstairs computer. While I can't say the difference was night and day, it certainly made the connection more reliable and consistent. The magnetic bottom is also nice for positioning in interesting ways.

Cons: The included cord is not long enough to always put it in an optimal location. Also the hinge wears out very quickly so it does not maintain the position you put it in, it just lets gravity do its thing.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Antenna If Placed In The Right Location

Pros: This is a great antenna I have had it 6 months works a little better than org thought. I have it mounted on the wall about 7.5ft off the ground away from the computer. I have found that if the antenna part is point down not up seems to work about 30% better than when it is point straight up. The other difference I noticed from pointed down vs up is when I do a scan of the area for other network I pick up less networks no big deal. You will have to place in many location to find where you get the reception. Now I get 92% to 100% signal after I played around with different locations & pointed the antenna down.

Cons: I really do not like the cable being so short wish it were 2ft to 3ft longer & would like to see better cable that is not a lossy as this junky cable.

Other Thoughts: Just remember to try a few different locations before you give up & also try pointing the antenna down before you call this a piece of junk. I have tried a few wifi antennas this one beats them all one when the right location is picked out.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok!

Pros: It works and it does boost the range by a few feet....5.4 feet to be exact one the same floor.

Cons: For the price, I'm not sure that is actually worth buying because the standard antennas on the router work just fine.

Other Thoughts: If you want to the extend the range of your router by about 5 feet on the same floor then get this antenna! otherwise if you are buying it to increase the range of the router from the first floor to the basement it will be a waste of money as there tends to be too much distruption between the ground floor and the basement. but It may be just my house.

4 out of 5 eggsThe Extra you may need

Pros: I expected a little more out of it than I got, but in my case, a little bit made a big difference.

Cons: i wish i could take the magnets out and set it on my monitor

Other Thoughts: Wasn't that much better (maybe .5-1/5 bars) than the stock antenna on my asus wl-520gu

until I got this free wifi signal analyser called inssider and started moving it around.

that's the key, it moves

I got an open box for 15 bucks. So maybe new is better.

5 out of 5 eggsRANGE

Pros: very simple hookup, the base of the antenna is magnetic and also comes with screws if you plan on mounting it to a wall. I have 3 of these antennas mounted on a wall and am using a dlink Dir-655 rev.b and i have great coverage through out the house (2400sq ft). i have had a friend across the street pick up my signal in his back yard. These things make a huge difference.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: great antenna and a very simple and cheap way to improve the range of your wireless router

5 out of 5 eggsThese work great

Pros: These work great. I measured 7.1dBi on one and 7.2dBi on another (I'm an RF Engineer and have all the necessary equipment, including an anechoic chamber).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm using these two on a DWL-3200AP and RSSI increased noticeably at several monitoring points compared with the standard 5dBi antennae that came with it.

5 out of 5 eggsproblem solver

Pros: lets just say some times one bar before, and now its constant 100% connectivity!!!

Cons: this should be included with Network cards.

Other Thoughts: use in town home gated community. My wife said I should put it on the base router so all the wireless poor could have access
