Works great as a WiFi Client
Pros: Works great as a WiFi client. It allows converting WiFi to wired Ethernet. We then further converted the wired ethernet out of the DAP-1350 to Parallel printer port using D-Link DP-301P+ adapter. So, after we connected to our WiFi network, we then "manual" clone the DP-301P+ MAC address to the DAP-1350, assign a static IP on the DP-301p+, connected then with an ethernet patch cable and it was ready for wireless printing to any parallel printer. We only needed 2 extra power outlets next to any printer for the 2 power adapters that power these network adapters.
Cons: We had to reset to factory defaults through reset hole a few times while testing different configurations. Does not come with latest firmware, although you can download and install from D-Link web site.
Other Thoughts: This small WiFi adapter together with the D-Link DP-301P+ parallel to Ethernet adapter allowed a WiFi network connection to an Autobag PI 412c bagger printer from Automated Packaging Systems which only had a parallel printer port. This is working stable in one of the production lines in our company. Compare about 110 dollars for the 2 adapters allowing wireless printing to over 450 dollars for an OEM wired only ethernet adapter for this same printer from manufacturer above. Big $aving$ per printer requiring just some tech configuration.
