5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Low cost, easy installation, works with my NETGEAR ProSafe FS726TP.

Cons: A bit hard to get it to latch into the switch, but that's minor.

Other Thoughts: Using two of these with a direct burial OM2 fiber to create a gig link between two buildings that are over 1200 feet apart. Awesome!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: We have about 70 of these modules deployed for the last two years on Nortel and Cisco equipment without any major issues.

Cons: Some switch vendors report these SFP's as unsupported within the management interface (still works though).

Other Thoughts: For reliability we've had one module fail of 70 of which the given install was not on a UPS or surge suppressor.

2 out of 5 eggsKnow what your buying

Pros: Very good price!

Cons: Does not work with D-Link GEM-1216T Switch! Called Trendnet and they said their product is compatible with all switches. Also it was not a bad module, I had purchased 2 and both did the same thing, no link light. I purchased a different brand module and it worked right away.

Other Thoughts: Trendnet needs to test their modules on various switches before claiming it works on all switches.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product, great value

Pros: Great switch module for the price. They work (as indicated by another user) on Netgear GS724T switches, in addition to Dell PowerConnect 5324 switches. Dell actually sells this same switch module, just for some extra $$$ than the Newegg sale price.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Just a note: this switch module does not require a manual cross-over of TX/RX cables(as indicated by the included directions, and generally required by most media converters).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in Netgear Switches

Pros: These modules works in Netgear's GS716T and GS724T ProSafe Gigabit Smart Switches.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I used two of these modules so I could get a gigabit connection to a building that was 50 meters away.
