5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Switch

Pros: I've owned this switch for 4 years. Zero problems. It's always stables handles data on all 8 ports, and doesn't get hot. She lives on the carpet and doesn't complain...

I got this baby as one of the first shell shockers for $9.99 very very good deal

Cons: It doesn't make me sandwiches.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: I use it occasionally for linking xbox 360 systems for lan parties. Let me emphasize "occasionally" as its not a weekly activity for me. However it does what it's supposed to do. I plug it into the wall, plug in the lan cables and it works. Was there something else it was supposed to do?

Cons: No cons. As long as it doesn't fail in first year or so, I'm fine with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNever a Failure

Pros: Well priced, easy to install.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Been using these switches in my network for over 2 years. VERY reliable. Never had to reboot one. Just goes and goes and goes and goes and GOES!!!!!! This is all I buy now.

5 out of 5 eggsLow-priced and effective

Pros: I'm the IT Manager for my small company -- bought several of these for both workbench use and for patching equipment if needed. Some have gone into full-time production and they work great.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: For the price you can't beat it. Switches are quite basic technology these days so it's safe to "run with the little guys" -- don't pay too much for a simple bit of technology.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: I bought this over a year ago, plugged it in, and haven't had to mess with it. It's been working 24/7 with no problems whatsoever.

Cons: It wasn't free and didn't just magically show up on my doorstep when I needed it. I actually had to order it and wait three days for it to show up.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if every purchase turned out this well.

4 out of 5 eggsBasic Switch

Pros: good switch
take it out of the box, plug in a few lan cables, plug in the power.
That's it its up and running like a basic switch should be

Cons: can get overwhelmed with too much network traffic

Other Thoughts: i will send these back and look in to a switch with a greater backplane

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Simple, basic switch. It works well and even sustained multiple power brown outs and black outs at one of client's location without going bad.

Cons: Units may need to be power-cycled after brown outs. Which is actually normal for units of this type.

Other Thoughts: I would buy those again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat small switch

Pros: Compact, inexpensive, plug & play. Also comes with a power adapter that accepts 100 ~ 120, & 200 ~ 240 Volts. Really comes in handy for data center emergency needs. I purchased several so that there's always one on hand.

Cons: None come to mind.

Other Thoughts: Very light weight, stiff or heavy cables may try to relocate the device.
