4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Connects at the advertised speed of 300Mbps, but varies at times. When the speed drops, it doesn't drop below 144.5Mbps, but I don't mind. It's better than 54Mbps. Good price provided by newegg.

Cons: I found the software to be buggy. For instance the TRENDnet wireless configuration utility, installed on Windows XP doesn't always launch on startup. So you have to manually start it up and creates and empty space on your system tray. I don't recommend you use the new software that has been placed on TRENDnet site which is TEW-624UBvD1.02 it will not run properly on your Win XP machine. It is full of bugs. Keep using the drivers/software that is provided on the CD instead. They work just fine.

Other Thoughts: Other than a minor issue with the software. I'm satisfied with the adapter.

2 out of 5 eggsGood as a G adapter

Pros: Works.

Cons: No where near up to par. It give low speed and has a low range in a clear room. i've only had it go up to 35Mbps

Other Thoughts: might be because router is a different brand but doubtful.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Signal strength is very good and so is the speed. I'm connecting at 130 Mbps with a router that is in another room. I'm about 30 feet away from the router and going thru 2 walls. Setup was very easy and didn't require a reboot.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I don't understand why people rate this adapter so badly on newegg because it works so well with my TEW-639GR router. I downloaded the driver from trendnet's website rather than using the CD. I always do this with computer devices just to make sure I have the most up-to-date driver. I'm very happy with the performance and I purchased a second one to use on my server which I keep in the basement.

4 out of 5 eggsNot Too Shabby

Pros: Pretty decent little adapter a little warm to the touch but otherwise pretty good.

Cons: Only Con I have with this thing is everytime its near my Wireless Networking Card for my Primary Computer, I lose about 50% Integrity / Signal Strength which ticks me off. Guess my Linksys Card doesnt like the TrendNet Adapter much, cause my laptop doesn't give me issues with the Rosewill Adapter. So Dont know what's going on there.

Other Thoughts: Other than the signal strength loss of having the computer in the same room as my primary system it works out pretty well. Still don't know wth is going on with that though.

2 out of 5 eggsBad choice

Pros: Worked when I first plugged it in.

Cons: I bought three of these about 10 months ago when I found them on sale. So far, two of them have crapped out on me. The first one actually started to smoke after somebody stepped on it (admittedly you probably shouldn't step on any computer hardware, so that's partly my fault), and the other one just recently stopped working out of the blue.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsLinksys out Trendnet In

Pros: Best route I ever bought hooked up easy and has ever setting the home owner can ever need. Had linksys routers for about 10 years new ones are junk will never go back to them. This route is ths fastest lowest priced route out there works Great.

Cons: tech support is not that great. wireless advanced tab crashes have not tried to fix it yet Routers running ok not that important. and on the wireless light on route is red and number one computer port has a trendnet 8 port gig work switch on it and its red to. tech support says thats ok if its working ok I think there are setting not rigt in there will work on that and let you all know.

Other Thoughts: over all it works Great just need a little tweeking

1 out of 5 eggsits a joke

Pros: Price?

Cons: never worked, slow, hot. 2 bars 10 feet away from router. 5ghz never worked, driver? what driver? never worked in Vista x64.

Other Thoughts: Save you money and time get somthing else. Poor design and effort from manufacture. How did this product get to be realeased in the first place any way?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your feedback. We value your concern and our objective is to correct and resolve any issues you are encountering with the product you purchased.

Some corrections about this product, version B1.1R is the model with Vista X64 support. Also this product operates only on the 2.4GHz and not designed for 5GHz operation.

I like to know what kind of router you are connecting with
so I could help troubleshoot the issue you are encountering.

Sincerely,

Joe Hernandez

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Money, Please

Pros: None I have found yet.

Cons: Bought this in a bundle with a TrendNet router. Router is fantastic, but this thing doesn't work at all. Have tried drivers from disk and from site. It will see the network, and connect to it, but will never get a DHCP address (and no, rebooting hte router won't help). I can plug in another old USB adapter and it picks up everything fine. After quite a few hours I have decided that my time is best spent throwing it in the trash.

Other Thoughts: TrenNet routers - my wireless N one is great. USB adapter, sucks more than words can say.
