The ADSL 2/2+ Modem Router, model TDM-C500, provides a modem for Internet access and a high speed router to allow multiple connections to the internet.
It supports all Internet service providers with ADSL 2, ADSL 2+, Annex A, Annex L, or Annex M networks. Installation is a breeze with a step-by-step setup wizard; status LEDs convey devices status; and a convenient on/off power button protects hardware when powering down.

This review is from: TRENDnet TDM-C500 ADSL 2/2+ Modem Router 1 x RJ11 WAN Ports 1 x 10/100Mbps LAN Ports
Pros: It had basic functionality. It would be adequate for a non-advanced user provided they have someone else configure it.
It's much smaller than the TDM-C400.
A few elements of the web interface are easier to use compared to the TDM-C400 (There's actually a easy to find Port Forwarding section this time!)
I can't think of anything else.
Cons: What a disappointment.
It took me a long time to realize I had to use "1483 MER" mode (which did not exist on the TDM-C400) instead of "1483 Bridge" mode. So imagine my frustration when I had a perfectly working TDM-C400 modem and when I tried to use the same settings on the TDM-C500, it wouldn't work.
The interface is a pain to use. There are 3 separate pages you can go to change the same connection settings, for instance. After every setting change, it prompts you to reboot the modem. When I enter in my static IP and Gateway information when trying to use "1483 Bridge" mode it would first accept the information, but when it reboots the IP info gets erased without telling me "1483 Bridge" mode doesn't accept static IPs. Like I said, this worked fine on the TDM-C400 so it was very confusing.
Other Thoughts: And then, the reason this gets one star...
After spending a good 2-3 hours trying to get this thing configured, I finally do. So I'm finally content and go to add the last port forwarding rule thinking my job is just about done...
ERROR! Table full!
This router only supports 8 different port forwarding rules. Really? 8? That's it? Well I need 9 now so this router is useless and was a complete waste of my time.
You'd think that a higher model number means a better product. That unfortunately isn't the case here.
