5 out of 5 eggstrue PoE, great performance

Pros: This switch has been powering my PoE-enabled AP for 3 months, and it's been rock-solid stable. The metal chassis is sturdy, and you can see at a glance what the status of all the ports is (PoE, link, 1000M). The included A/C adapter uses a separate transformer, so there's no wall wort to block outlets. This is a true PoE-compliant switch, in that it negotiates with the connected devices whether they need PoE—No PoE injectors are needed. (Cheaper "PoE compatible" switches don't include the auto-negotiation circuitry, which means you have to use separate PoE injectors.) It has a 3-year warranty, which is pretty impressive for consumer-grade network gear.

Cons: The switch maxes out at 60W combined across all 4 PoE ports. So you can have at most 2 PoE+ (30W) devices. I don't know what happens if you try to plug more than two PoE+ devices into it—my guess would be that when you plug in the 3rd device, the switch drops all 4 PoE ports to 15W max.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to buy another one as a spare, just in case.

5 out of 5 eggsGood POE switch

Pros: This provides all the POE power for 2 cameras and an access point. I also use it to free up ports in my main switch for lower speed (100mb) traffic.

Cons: I haven't seen any problem thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for network surveillance

Pros: Easy to install.
I have used three of these now for installing network surveillance cameras. They POE is fantastic and has no trouble running cameras with all 4 ports being used.

Cons: None so far. They work great.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic product, I recommend these and will continue using them as I expand on my surveillance system.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Speeds + Reliable PoE

Pros: Fast transfer speeds over 10/100 version of this device.
Reliable PoE, running 4 Cisco Phones 24/7 without a hitch.
Highly recommended device!!!

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: I previously owned a TPE-S44 (until a lightning strike killed it), the 10/100 version of this switch and it worked fine, when it was damaged in a storm near my house I replaced it with this unit and couldn't have be happier. Since replacing that unit I've noticed that transferring large files (typically movies) across my home network went from 8-11Mbps to 60-70Mbps.
As with the switch that was damaged I've also had no issues with powering up the 4 Cisco phones I have in my home lab.
As with any unmanaged switch, it's plug-and-play so as long as your cabling is good you should have no issues with this switch.
