4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: actually gave good connection and speed.

Cons: The speed i was getting was like 30 Mbps and i usually get around 50-60 when connected to the router. a deal able situation.

4 out of 5 eggsInternet over powerline

Pros: Device was small, simple, requires no set-up and works well with the TPL- 406E counter-part. Allowed fairly high-speed connection between other network devices and between my basement from the router two floors above.
Price was right as I bought it bundled with an additional 406E for same $.
Newegg delivered on time and in one piece as usual.

Cons: Requires reset daily. Easy to do, but a hassle when it drops out. The utility was less-than-intuitive and would not resize for easier viewing and use. However, it does permit labeling devices (helpful with multiple devices) and easy to find MAC addresses. Also has unique password per unit for access control. Print on label with MAC & PW was microscopic.
Rated speed is a bit optimistic, but is consistently +2,800 kbs for Netflix and other streaming.

Other Thoughts: I am using the TPL-406E as the base (connected directly to router) and this item plus two other 406E units to distribute a wired network connection around a house that is not conducive to wireless use. The 4052E permits hard wire connection of the basement Blu-ray, TV, printer and basement computer. Didn't work well on GFIC outlet.
