3 out of 5 eggsA bit frustrating

Pros: -works

Cons: -drivers suck
-toshiba drivers suck
-toshiba downloaded drivers have a 30 day trial

Other Thoughts: win7 x64:
this device was a bit frustrating. when i first plugged it in, it wouldn't recognize the device (despite what it claims on the MS site). So downloaded the toshiba bluetooth stack. this just ended up with windows complaining the drivers are not suitable for the computer blah blah. but the program would still run, but it would never recognize the keyboard. yes, i ran the x64 driver stack install.

so finally i just unplugged the device, uninstalled the worthless toshiba drivers completely. then i decided to stick it back in and see what happens. lo and behold, it works, and my apple wireless keyboard paired just fine.

seriously? but whatever, it works now.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks ok but no WIN 7 64 bit support

Pros: Works ok in my XP computer. Not great not bad.

Cons: It will not work with 64 bit Windows 7. It doesn't say that in the details.

Other Thoughts: I advise checking the manufacturer website before purchasing.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Plugged in and Windows 7 had it working in less than a minute. Didn't even need the included CD.

The range is great. I can wander away up to 10 meters or more and my headphones still work without issue.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It's tiny. I know this is probably a pro, but I use it in my work computer and I know someday I'll forget it's there when they take the box away. ;-)

Oh, and it's USB 2.1, not 2.0.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks, sort-of

Pros: Shows up as a "CSR Bluetooth Radio" in Device Manager on Windows 7. Windows 7 comes with drivers for some basic functionality like keyboards, mice, and file transfers, no additional install needed. The bundled CD also includes a copy of the Toshiba Bluetooth stack software from 2009 (version 7.x). By installing the Toshiba software (and disabling Windows 7's native Bluetooth support), you gain support for a dozen more Bluetooth profiles like headsets and handsfree telephony.

Cons: Not suitable for use with a Bluetooth headset for speech recognition. The Windows 7 stock driver for a "CSR Bluetooth Radio" does not support any audio functionality. Thus I turned to the Toshiba Bluetooth stack software. Audio quality through the Toshiba stack's headset profile and handsfree telephony profile was poor bordering on unacceptable. Lots of hissing and digital artifacts. My speech recognition software went nuts. I'm sending it back for a refund!

Other Thoughts: The bundled Toshiba software is a little dated (from 2009). Newer versions are available for download online... but look carefully. All of the copies available online for download are 30-day trialware. A full new license for the Toshiba Bluetooth stack costs $30. There's nothing useful on Kensington's web site. As for me, I chose to stick with the Toshiba software on the bundled CD because it was licensed already and did not require activation.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks just fine

Pros: Works just fine. Paired up my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Bluetooth Mighty Mouse in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The keyboard put up a little bit of a fight, but after putting fresh batteries in it things were fine.

Cons: Sticks out just a touch from the USB portion of it and has an annoying blue light that blinks all the time (wish you could turn this off).

Other Thoughts: Hint to those with trouble: when you're trying to pair it and it shows up in the devices, DO NOT double click on the device! Instead, right click, go to properties, and check the box enabling the HID properties of the device.

Also, to the guy giving 1 star because he had problems using it with his headset? Give me a break... The thing works fine otherwise.

4 out of 5 eggsGOOD PRODUCT

Pros: FAST RESPOND.
EASY P N P .
GOOD MADE QUALITY

Cons: LITTLE TOO BIG AS DONGLE I MEAN LONG.
LITTLE OVER PRICED COMPARE TO OTHER ONES AS ASUS.
EVERY TIME YOU PULL IT OUT AND PUT IT BACK IN RIGHTAWAY SYSTEM CAN'T DETECT THE DONGLE.
BUT IT FIXES IF YOU TRY IT FEW SECONDS AFTER.
