1 out of 5 eggsLasted 7 months-then died

Pros: Worked fine while it lasted.
Easy setup.

Cons: Died in under a year. Was in a nice open aired spot.
One day it was working and later that same day - poof - no lights lit other than power?
Cycled, hard reset, you name it.It stopped even seeing any of 4 Cat 5 plugged in lines.
Less than a year? Yes, its cheap. I didn't expect 5+ years or anything but 7 months? COMEON!

Other Thoughts: I did NOT buy this from Newegg. I needed it quick in a pinch and got it at a local PC store.

My first and last Keebox product.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap router, works fine, no frills

Pros: Cheap price. You can find it under $25 sometimes. Relatively small form factor makes it easy to tuck away. Quick configuration on laptops, mobile devices and BlueRay players.

Cons: No frills, some descriptions say it's a "N" router, but I've only seen "B" and "G" options on it.

Other Thoughts: Installed as a WiFi LAN router in my motorhome. Connected to a Ubiquiti Networks NanoStation M2 Loco for wireless bridging. The main goal is to use the NanoStation to connect to an RV park or other business' WiFi so that only one device has to be reconfigured at each location. The BlueRay players, phones, mobile devices, laptops etc that we pack on every trip will connect to the Keebox and won't have to be reconfigured for new WiFi at each location.

In my driveway I used the NanoStation to connect to my home's wireless and FiOS connection and streamed NetFlix with zero drop-out or buffering to a BlueRay player. I was also able to use speedtest.net and achieve full speed as advertised on my FiOS connection.

I purchased this little router purely on basis of price. It seems to be doing the job just fine. Fully featured it isn't. But "just works" it does!

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Good features. Easy to set up.

Cons: Stops issuing IP Addresses regularly. Remote login does not work.

Other Thoughts: Stops connecting devices with DHCP or Static set IP's Turn on a computer and it won't connect until router is reset. Seems intermittent, but i run servers and not having a connection after a server is rebooted via ssh (from a different location) SUCKS.Even a reboot via VNC from another computer does not fix it.you HAVE TO PHYSICALLY UNPLUG THE POWER. I will never buy another KEEBOX device again...

4 out of 5 eggsCheap and Zero issues.

Pros: I have had zero connectivity issues with this since my last router bit the dust. I have numerous devices connected and they have all worked flawlessly.

Cons: The gain on the ant. is somewhat shoddy, I live in a small apartment and I get 70% signal in the living room-my router is in the bedroom. I have had several other routers and this is the first time I have had this issue with any of them. I would recommend buying a higher gain ant.

Other Thoughts: There is a wps button on the side that lights up blue for several seconds that can be annoying.

5 out of 5 eggscheap and works

Pros: cheap.
functions.

Cons: the antenna on it sucks but it uses the standard connection so i replaced it with a high gain one and all is well... still cheaper than the rest.

Other Thoughts: i cant speak to the other reviews saying it doesn't play nice with other hardware. i have two PC's wired to this and over a dozen different wifi devices (both g & n) and have had no problems with this router aside from the antenna. i have a "gaming adapter" that weirds out sometimes but it did so with the last router i had too.

unfortunately i didn't buy mine through newegg as my previous router crapped out and i needed a solution that day :(

2 out of 5 eggsget what u pay for

Pros: its cheap.... $20 for wireless 150Mb if only you could get that speed. user friendly interface easy to use

Cons: do not buy this if you are looking for anything more than a wireless router to plug into your hsi modem. If you add a switch ....it will fail. If you add a repeater.....it will fail. if you run wired and wireless at the same time.... it will fail. if you use static routing..... you guessed it. I don't know it its the firmware or what but this thing DOES NOT play nice with other network equipment ie. switches, repeaters, servers, etc. buy this only if your looking for BASIC wireless connectivity.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice router

Pros: Its 20-25 dollars for an "N" rating. You cant find that at Wal-Mart. Hasn't failed me yet. I have had many wireless LANaggedons at my house and no one has experienced trouble with lagging.

Cons: kinda cheap construction and a no-name brand.....goodluck finding anyone to replace it if Newegg quits carrying them, but for the price who cares, it works great.

Other Thoughts: Order it, its worth it. If you have money to blow and you are a serious gamer, or if you have an office full of computers, you may consider shelling out the cash for a nicer one. But for people like me who game and only have 1-4 devices at any given time and who cant really afford to drop 100 bucks on a router, this is perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap Spare

Pros: Great deal when on sale. Stable. Removable antenna. Quick Router setup

Cons: No DNS settings. Can't send logs to email. At this time, no DD-WRT. Access point setup was usless, did not work behind a DD-WRT equip 5Ghz router.

Other Thoughts: Take a chance on this one. Overall a good router backup.
