Pros: still working after 5 years, gave it to my wifes parents house in DR,
gave 1 to my mom 2 years ago in DR, and I have 1 in my home I use for faxing when necessary...

much better than magicjack... which I did own one... gave that one away...

Other Thoughts: Got this for a friend, He's got cable internet, but he's next to an airport so cell phones are generally useless there. For a few days the service worked, but then it just stopped. thing fried. Tech support was unhelpful. maybe someone else might have better luck, but it was generally unimpressive.

Pros: When they first started out it was a great product.

Cons: No support. I submitted a trouble ticket over a month ago and have not received a response from them. Their online chat always kicks you out and wants you to send them a e-mail. The e-mails don't get answered. The device WILL NOT stay connected and the person on the other end can't understand what is being said. it cuts in and out. Forwarded all the ports needed for their device and even moved it to have its own "Direct Connect" to the router but still have the same issues and problems.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on something they don't support and won't refund your money. They state that all sales are final and no refunds because they know that they would be taking a huge loss otherwise.

Pros: Pros?? Oh yeah nadda...zipola...none

Cons: After getting the BBB involved Nettalk had promised a pro-rated refund ; due to NOT providing customer service. The "check was to be in the mail" within 8 business days (See previous review.) I have yet to see it. Just as the BBB has given Nettalk a "F" rating, so do I. Apparently, the BBB has revoked their membership too. I was an approximate 4 year customer and walked away over extremely poor customer service.

Other Thoughts: On another site a bogus review states Nettalk still has a customer service phone number. LOL call is a recording referring you back to their website with instructions to use their online chat help service (joke.) If I was an e-retailer and knew the BBB has currently given Nettalk a "F" rating I'd be pulling their VOIP adapters off my site til they cleaned up their act. "You are known by who you associate/run with."

Pros: Easy to set up. I just plugged it in and followed the included instructions and I had a working phone in less than 15 minutes. I have also never had one problem with this phone line not working. There is no drag or echo. Keep in mind I have google fiber internet so it is very fast but the line is clear and has no problems.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I am very glad I made this purchase for my 10 year old. She had been wanting a cell phone but I just don't see the need for her to have one. This was a good compromise, and she really like it.

Pros: The good:
1- As long you do not need customer service/tech support you can save alot of money on phone bill
2- Free long distance anywhere in U.S. & Canada
3- Will work with fax long as your fax machine is voip capable

Cons: The bad:
1- Unlike approx. 4 years ago there is *no* phone customer service/tech support
2- If you need customer service/tech support your only options are online chat or e-mail (see other thoughts)
3- IF your adapter fails you good luck trying to get your existing account transferred to a replacement adapter
4- Expect occasional outages
5- **The BBB currently has given Nettalk a "F" rating**

Other Thoughts: I was a Nettalk customer for over 3 years. When I first signed up there was decent customer service/tech support via phone & Nettalk had a good BBB rating too. Into fourth year of my service my adapter failed, so I bought a new one from walllmurt shipped "site to store." Seemed simple enough...just use Nettalk online chat and transfer new adapter to my existing account. After spending *48 minutes online their chat service kicked me off telling me chat support team was currently unavailable & to send an e-mail, so I did to tech support with ALL info needed to do transfer. Three and half days passed and still no transfer/activation to my existing account. I attempted four more times to get through via Nettalk's online chat, which was a futile waste of my time since I could never get through. I took the adapter back to walllmurt for a refund & signed on with one of Nettalk's competitors that took care of me in under one minute! I did send an additional e-mail to Nettalk telling them I was done and wanted a prorated refund. Here is what Nettalk had to say *five days later* after finally getting an e-mail response:

Our sincere apology for the time to send you an answer. As you requested, we are cancelling your account and we want to clarify that our record shows that you made the last renewal on (edited by me), 2014, and the pro-rated refund will cover the (edited by me) months pending of service. I hope some newegg employees read where I bought it. Sad to say I am a Premier member and get UPS SurePost, or FedEx SmartPost shipping at times (where UPS or FedEx hand off YOUR purchase to USPS for final delivery.) Nothing like paying an annual Premier fee for "generic" shipping. As for Nettalk I strongly advise all to steer clear of this voip.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage. Cannot get incoming calls intermittently. Have to reset it.

Pros: NO PROS. I bought it. I tried it. At first it worked ok. At times I had to resit it, power off/power on for it to work and receive incoming calls. Now I am able to use it only for about an hour, after that I cannot get any calls. Customer service is non-existent. This product SUCKS. I rather use vonage because IT WORKS, unlike Net-GARBAGE-talk.

Cons: Unable to get incoming calls. Calling party gets the message "The number you have dialed has been disconnected..." or "The subscriber you have called is not in services..." Rather use VONAGE.

5 out of 5 eggsUnit worked well for the 1st year, ad going strong.

Pros: Bought this device refurbished online, followed the directions in the box and had it setup and running in under a half hour, with a local NJ number. Have Comcast and it works well, we get about 24MBs down 4MBs up. Remember folks its VOIP and if you have a lot going on your internet, it will reduce call quality. BTW, we have a basic ($25) cordless phone.

Cons: Once in a while, my wife calls home from her cell (VZW) and complains about home phone voice quality, but most other folks including Canada do hear us well.

Pros: none

Cons: After 5 months of spotty call quality, the duo stopped receiving phone calls altogether. I could call out, but callers got "the number you have dialed is not in service" message.
Over 2 weeks , several hours. on the phone, and 3 trouble tickets, I got absolutely no response from technical support, they never even answered the phone. Even emails to customer service went unanswered.
Don't buy this product.

Pros: Inexpensive, works with Life Alerts

Cons: Highly unreliable, very poor customer service

Other Thoughts: When receiving calls: 30% of the time there is no one there. 10% of time I answer there is nothing but a busy signal. 40% of time there is a 5 sec lag before the calling party responds.
I have called customer service dozen of times and gotten through 3 times. Twice CS accessed my modem and disabled all of my other internet devices and did not solve any issues with the Duo.
CS will put you on hold for hours then hangup, this has happened twice.
Once they even had a countdown after a 1 hour wait. They said a CS will come on line in 30 seconds, and then proceeded to count down to 0, then disconnected with a busy signal! It must their idea of a sick joke?
Calling their bogus 611 #, you get a busy all the time.
